A final assignment I had to finish for a class.

"You're telling me there's ball adultery? How uncouth, that will inspire the children to be spherical and stare rudely at their parents!" My first actual fully fledged animation ever, and it's a semi-rushed student project. And well, I'm still proud of the end result anyways. Looking back on the effort I put into the animation where I did, even if tedious, made a more visually interesting end product. This was my final assignment I had to do from a 3D Design class, basically creating and modeling in 3D with Maya Autodesk. I have used Blender before this, and was following the donut tutorial before I had to put my focus on Maya. With all of that experience, I'm really starting to appreciate 3D art and how much more streamlined it feels to make something compared to 2D! Of course the finer details are harder to recreate, but I want to incorporate 3D backgrounds into my future pieces due to how easier it is to do. I may have been too ambitious regarding how many camera's I used, especially since I didn't know how to switch between them. But perhaps there will be a future 3D animation, or more likely 3D art.

Death the Cat must chase down and retrieve the soul of a dead kitten in order to help it c

Death the Cat is my exhibition piece for my degree program. The entire thing was made by me with audio sourced from Youtube's audio library. The piece was made in part to help me cope with the loss of my dog through exploratory means, trying to come to the terms with the reality that death can be a comfort for those who need it. Death is not a mystery, in fact it may be one of the few things all life has in common.

Death the Cat

A mysterious masked man holds the boss of a bank hostage.

A short film I created as part of a university brief where we had to create an animation about a negotiation. Everything in this short was created by me, with the exception of the sound effects which are from Freesound.org. The animation was entirely done in Toon Boom Harmony, while any backgrounds that aren't flat colours were created in Clip Studio Paint. It truly means the world to me, and I hope to continue pushing myself and making more animations like this. A ghost tries to uncover the secrets of the mystical year of 2025.

A ghost flies across autumn to find the secrets of the universe to fix their procrastination issues, but meets the god Pomo and gets their entire perspective reframed in the final seven minutes of the first quarter century of the 2000s. To anybody else pessimistic about the 2nd quarter of the 2000s, maybe you'll laugh at this once. Or be distracted. Music - DJ Nakahara - Macaroni Festival Audio for 3d Lip Sync - Whiplash directed by Damien Chazelle Audio for 3d Lip Sync - Home Movies created by Brendon Small All of these assignments were done during a spring semester. I usually took a day or two for these even the flip book one. It was only the 3d which took like 5 days and my final animation student film which didnt get to be finished due to being so busy (though my teacher said that it was intentional that he gave us such a tight deadline). I had about a month of prep (treatment, illustration, character model sheet, storyboards, animation tests like her walk cycle, lip sync animation, and head turn). and on my last week i was just placing the key frames which only ended up giving 5 days to actually animate the entire thing. It was really fun and my classmates laughed at where i hoped they did. Im okay with how it turned out givin that i had little time. Thank you all for the support it was really fun animating and having a teacher to give feedback.

Animation Demo Assignments 2025!

A fake trailer for a hypothetical game series. (Although not entirely true, I did have a concept of a game in development but it never was in 3D, instead being created on RPG Maker MV) This was my final year project during my time in university. I thought it'd be cool to submit something that had a low-poly video game aesthetic but I didn't have enough time to do more with what I wanted to focus on, being character animation. So having to come up with the fake trailer idea for a hypothetical game was the best to compensate into including all the character rigs I've made into my project instead of cutting them out completely. I'm not a musician but the music used is something I made in like 5 minutes because I used copyrighted music in the original.

An animated short film made by me! It started as a university project that I eventually decided to finish and share with the world. A huge thanks to the voice actors and friends who helped get the short off the ground, whether it was through music, voice work, or even some assistance with animation. P.S.: The original shortfilm it´s animated in spanish, that´s why it says "english dub" in the title. Funny red man looks worried and does stuff

Hey guys, so essentially for a sort of elective class I wanted to do, I actually decided to partake a cool looking animation class, with the final project in mind being a 1 minute (or as close as you can to 1 minute lol) animation that uses more then one form of animation (in my case it was a mix of 2D, my favourite and preferred style, stop motion and live action stuff). This took me about like a month of on/off work and two weeks of pretty intense work to complete and whilst I think that the pacing of the animation can be improved upon, with some parts feeling quite rushes, it had to fit the roughly 1 minute time limit and if I gave it any more breathing room I probably would have been marked down for it lol. I feel like in general I'm pretty happy with the results, 2D stuff is stylised well and some part look quite nice, particularly the 2D stuff in the cave. However, by the end I was kind of in a mad dash to complete it by the deadlines so some of the end character 2D and stop motion bit could have been improved upon. Regardless, I still wanted to upload it as is just cause I think its an important lesson that I guess not everything that I make can be endless tinkered at and at some point I just gotta move past, say fuck it and upload it lmao (even though with more personal projects I may not follow this philosophy since I don't have an enforced deadline). Anyways, whilst I sort of just used my upcoming game that will hopefully release in the next 100 years, Alonomoly, as a framework for characters, tone and aesthetics, I think that its pretty thematically compatible with what I want the tone of the final game to be like and could potentially use this as a base to make an intro FMV cutscene lol. Also yeah, that last quote was made by me after listening to TPAB for the first time and falling in love with the album, hope it resonates with some of y'all since I think its a nice bowtie on the general themes of Alonomoly. So yeah that's just about it, might update the description for this with any further notes if I think of anything, but if you are reading this, thank you so much for taking an interest in my stuff and actually being bother to read descriptions, its a thing that people just don't do nowadays, so yeah thanks for putting in the work dawg lol. Uhhh... yeah enjoy, more art soon, more animation soon and I'll officially start my game dev journey next year, so more stuff coming, unless I die or a solar flare strikes the earth and electricity is just completely gone for like a couple months, and if that is the case, I'll have a physical billboard where I'll pin up photo copied versions of my art, give it a gander if you care. Anyways, I've yapped on long enough. Peace! ^w^ ADDITIONAL NOTES:- Also the animation specially said it had to be rendered in 1080p, so that why its only 1080 and not 1440 or even 4K like I'd do otherwise lol.
