SWORD PRACTICE | ANIMATION PRACTICE

Amy faces a scary threat, but finds that some things cut deeper than swords!

Amy faces a deadly threat, but finds out words sometimes cut deeper than swords. This one took a little while, but I'm quite happy with it! These shorts have been a lot of fun to make and given me opportunity to experiment with the series, so I'm very grateful. I hope you all enjoy, and look forward to the next ATK Forge Short! (Hopefully sooner rather than later...)

ATK Forge Shorts #3 - Enemy Encounter

Never laugh at Kid Knight. It may take him a while but he can lift that sword. Just a quick little thing I put together. The background was hand drawn on paper, cool right? This took me way longer than it should have because I procrastinated the clean up a lot. I am happy with the way it turned out. I made the OST myself on a keyboard. You can even here the keys being pressed.

**UPDATE**
If you're going to complain about the slow paced story and some of the poor audio, first keep in mind that THIS WAS A SALVAGED PROJECT! I had no choice but to work with what I got. Second, it's supposed to be an introduction to a new arc, let the story develop before any chaos unfolds. "If you learn to ACCEPT instead of EXPECT you'll get far less disappointments"--The Knight in Rusty Armor. And I come back to you now - at the turn of the tide. ***Thanks for the daily Feature!***
Update: Typos and bugs currently being worked on. Yes, the long awaited episode is finally here. This episode is my attempt to salvage a project that was on a 2 year hiatus. Originally this was going to be a 30 minute episode, but since it got way too big for me to handle, I chose to split the script in half, at the request of some or my castmembers. so yes, the next one will be episode 9 and after that episode 10 which is still under development. if you're wondering what happened all this time, well a lot of things...the university got more demanding, community service was a pain, finding part time jobs, the internship was fun yet tedious, My girlfriend at the time dumped me and I went through a deep depression becuse of it (though we patched things up a year later), My grandma dying of breast cancer early this year, castmembers bailing and returning,The script going through several rewrites, it was madness. Things just collapsed around me and I had to slowly get back on my feet after all this... for the most part I felt very uninspired to work on flash because of all this. Thankfully, the dust has cleared and now things have been improving for me in a way. anyway about the episode: just like the previous ones, it continues right where we left off. with the List from Kakariko Village. I wrote the script with more original jokes and I toned down the random refernces a bit. this flash can now be toggled with the space bar and the left and right arrow keys. Mouse works too. Spikedapenguin has returned to reprise his role as Classic Red Link (please excuse the slightly poor audio, I had to work with what I got), while Baldboy64 (Who voiced red on episodes 4-7) is now voicing Blue Link since his VA went AWOL on me... I admit that treated Malon in this episode like she was Romani from Majora's Mask, mainly because of the grasshopper joke I had for the last few years. I didn't want to give her a southern accent either, so don't get picky. I have 5 special medals hidden in the episode, hunt them down using the mouse, they're all very well hidden. This episode has much more original content than the previous episodes. custom sprites, custom maps, additional artwork, music from the audio portal, Zelda Reorchestrated and much more. Thanks for the support and for understanding all that I went through. It was one of the toughest moments of my life and thankfully I was able to get this episode off the ground somehow. As for the next, episode give it time. I already have a head start with it. So enjoy it before the world ends.
Hah! I joke! I joke! I kid! I kid! :P Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

5-19-10 : 0-0 holy carp! You seriously rock NG!! Alot of you have been asking about the ending song and for the life of me didnt know who or where it original source was (I chanced upon it in .swf form in a certain forum that well all know and love). Well thanks to the efforts and awesomeness of Dytheros. Heres the directions some in his own words since i cannot say it any better; Go to the link provided in the audio credits on the sidebar
"search under author for Loonie and the song is called takeon.it is in .xm format and will not be recognized by windows at first but you just need to tell it to open the file in your music player and it will work.
(note tested in Windows media player only)" Hello! After the grievous loss of my hard drive had to start from scratch all over again in flash.
This is loosely based off of (ah la "Sealab 2021") the PSP game "30 Half-Minute Hero". not a homage ,not a good but somewhat parody. Hope you enjoy.

30 Halfwit Hero

Update: Episode updated with better audio quality and minor additional content. This was the way the episode was meant to be seen. Daily 1st, Weekly 2nd and Review Crew Pick !? I normally get daily awards, but this was quite a surprise. Thank you guys so much! over 100K views. Awesome! After 17 long, tedious, f**king months, the "highly anticipated" episode of FSM is finally here. For those who are probably still in the dark and are wondering what took so damn long with the episode, let me summarize: 1)I was going through a mental burnout after releasing two back to back episodes in 2008 and needed a break to develop new material and work on other stuff.
2) Osuka and I were having technical problems with our hard drives last year. It's not easy to recover from such a loss, believe me.
3) I had additional problems with some of the cast and artists, thanks to the global recession (among other things). Because of this crisis, they had to turn in their parts later than usual due to the fact that they were unable to do so previously, being busy with their actual lives of course. So as you can see, the project got pretty big from the beginning and it eventually collapsed on itself. The reason it got so big was because I wanted to get a wider audience and please the nitpicky "animation purists" who criticized my work, but then again I'll be criticized either way and there's no pleasing everyone... Seriously, I wanted to get this out sooner, but I had to leave the project in the back burner until everything was done. Overall, it was total hell for me, especially with the impatient noobs that constantly bug me about the episode. Anyway, now that FSM 7 is finally here, you'll notice that it's full of surprises. Episode 7 marks the conclusion of a three part story arc, so contrary to popular belief, IT'S NOT THE LAST EPISODE. The story will continue after this and I have no idea on how many more episodes I'll make. That depends on the direction that I'll take with the series. This is the first episode to include NG medals. Originally this wasn't going to be part of the episode, but Osuka talked me into it. There are a total of 9 medals hidden throughout the flash (including the menu and after the ending) so be sure to find them all. In this episode I'm also introducing a new voice actress, Shiraikigu (Aka Beeku). She's the girl who sang the lyrics I wrote for "The Goddess Appears" track that plays in the menu screen. Visit my youtube channel to hear the full song. She also voices a surprise character in one of my Easter eggs and I'm planning on using her character again for episode 8. Osuka also helped me out again with his animated parts in chapters 2 &amp; 3. This was inspired by a personal rant of mine about a particular anime that I got fed up with after watching the first 150 episodes. It's meant to be a "tongue-in-cheek" type of gag, so don't take it too seriously. Kuro-chan has also helped me out with another one of his ideas for an ending, also inspired by another anime that was revived after a 10 year absence. We made it at least 90% true to the actual ending, while certain parts were arranged on his behalf. Thanks to everyone who worked hard on making this episode epic. Well that's all for now, Enjoy, vote fair, and don't be a grammar nazi.
Oh and BTW, don't waste your time asking me when the next one will be out. I never answer that. You'll see the next one when it's ready and no, it will not take another 17 months (I hope).

4 Swords Misadventures 7

Wow, it has been a long time scince I last submited a flash movie here! :)This work was a major project for me, and it was trully hard to produce, but I enjoyed every second of this aswell. I pushed the animation quality to the max ( at least the best I could) in comparison with my old works, and I guess the result is pretty good ( you tell me guys! :) ). This final episode was supposed to be released by december of the last year, but university and work delayed me as hell. Now that I found some free time I finally was able to finish it! :)The story speaks by itself, I dont think it needs aditional explanation. I thought the hole movie 75% action &amp; 25% feelings, wich was a verry important part, if not the whole thing would have been pure massacre :P I also leave you the link to the song I used, wich is from (Xenogenocide), "wake p to Reality": Awesome song! :) So thats it, Thanks for watching &amp; hope you enjoy this movie as much as i enjoyed making it! Edit: wow, daily 3rd place, frontpaged, and top 15 week ending!Thats much more than I expected! :) Thank you all for your reviews and feedback I really appreciate them!. I will try to clear out some things about this animation.Facts: I made almost 300 frames for FBF movments and efects ( wind, run, jumps, sword fights), and many other action sequences between those. You mays say it was short, and some scenes had some timing issues, and you will be correct. The facts are that I just put so much work on the animation itself, that I lost a little bit the "direction" of the movie in many aspects (timing, angles...etc.). Second when you are making the 300 frame you feel so exahusted and frustrated because its taking so much time....It took me whole 3 months to think, animate, and edit the hole thing, and by then I just wanted to publish and finish this work, wich I wasnt sure if it will succeed. So dont be so drastic with the final result of the movie,... Im not profesional...this would be my second "decent movie" after all....Hope this clear out some of your questions.Anyway, thank you all for watching again :)

The sequel to Solid Sticks 5 with an all new level of action!

this movie is now available for viewing in my Deviantart page: <a href="http://xarugas.deviantart.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">xarugas.deviantart.com</a>. If it appears anywhere else plz PM me asap. :D **UPDATE 4**: err yeah, final update. Due to demand I added the High quality option (then again, the context menu IS accessible xD) and tweaked the music a bit more. This is gonna be the final update. I think it's play options are complete now right? Ok :D (forgive me admins for multiple small updates @_@) **UPDATE 3**: The music has upped quality. It MAY seem the same, but i assure you it has less static than the previous version x_x -- After 3 years of waiting the sequel to Solid Sticks 5 is here. This doesnt mean i did this for 3 years, nope, i took 2-3 weeks for this animation. :D I've been busy in college after doing Solid Sticks 5 so i never got to work on this one til recently. I'd like to thank all those who supported the series, as they were my sorta "development" in my skills as an animator (as evidently seen in the progression of each episode). Be sure to watch Solid Sticks 5 to understand most of the plot (the simplistic, character-centered plot), oh and stick around after the credits guys. Hope you enjoy! ****EDIT 3******: Im overwhelmed with the response, and i kinda want to reply to most of the reviews, thanks for the support! For those people who are craving for a story, Gun &amp; Sword was meant to be the sequel to Solid Sticks 5, in which the plot was VERY simple. --White stick beats up his foe (from episode 3 to 5), the Grey stick. Magnum in the end, being his FULLY ANIMATED self and all, kills both sticks. White CHANGES from stick to non-stick, and there they fight. :) -- simplistic yes, but like i said this is a revisiting of my flash skills after 2 years of not animating, and i was pushing the limits of my action animation style plus trying out new effects, in which ive learned and loved alot of. My future submissions WILL have more plot, you see, cuz this was just fulfilling the cherry on the top for my past series. I mean, fans of Solid Sticks 5 wanted that sequel, and i wanted to make it (plus i go insane for making action shows lol) Uhh, consider it as a sort of "i guess this is what i can do now with animation, so this time ill work on the other side of it, story telling and plots" Thanks for the great reviews and support people! And the score is overwhelming @_@ Thanks to Tom Fulp for the FRONTPAGE TOO!
