I've decided to upload some of my older drawings and animations from the past few years, so here's my Revolutionary Girl Utena fan animation, the first animation I ever did back in 2021. Back then I didn't have a drawing tablet or animation software, so I had to draw every frame on A4 paper and scan them in one by one on the printers at my university library. Good times!

The 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. animated!

This animation is a sequel to my very first hand-drawn animation. This time around, I used a Huion drawing tablet instead of drawing with purely a mouse. The quality is quite a bit different . . . maybe I'll need to remake the first at some point . . . Check out the original animation here, if you haven't seen it yet: Super Mario Over the Years! 1 - Unfortunately, you'll have to watch it on YT because I didn't have a NG account back then :( Isn't it technically the 41st now of Super Mario Bros?: Lol, yes - this project is a culmination of short vids I've been putting out during the 40th anniversary across my socials, plus a bunch more! I still wanted to call this an animation for the 40th, as it's the bigger milestone year than the 41st. I also just work slowly, and had a bunch of ideas, causing the release time to continuously get pushed back. Art Direction I've had the thought for quite some time to make a more faithful animation to the Mario series to emulate and honor the stylistic choices of Yōichi Kotabe and Shigehisa Nakaue. My decision on the art direction also came down to me wanting to "understand the generations of Mario” from its official art standpoint. Furthermore, I wanted to embellish some of Mario's movements, not limited to the games, to give a greater sense of action and adventure! I referenced all types of official cover art, licensed activity books, instruction manuals, classic 80s/90s commercials and other promotional material for the games and time periods. It took way more effort than my past simpler, often rough character animations - but it was totally worth it! For later games in the franchise, including games like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Odyssey Characters, I choose to fuse the official render designs with the linework used in the manual art in the earlier games. I wanted the animation to have the hand drawn feel, but still have the evolution of Mario's design aimed to hit several of the "key poses" from the Super Mario Bros official art, and “bring them to life” in the animation. In order to execute this idea, I started with several of the key frames as these key poses, with some adjustments (like eye movements, hand placements, or perspective tweaks) to flow with the animation. As far as the backgrounds go, they involve a stylistic approach to Shigehisa Nakaue's work on the fairly consistent Nintendo summer artwork. I tried to simulate this by blending some watercolor texture scans I painted with digital watercolor brushes created in Photoshop to create laying and show a brush stroke on a more rough, coarse paper. The color usage references the internal colors displayed when playing the games on their respective consoles. This challenged me when it came to using a very monochromatic color scheme in Super Mario Land's Birabuto dungeon to quite the opposite of using a wide array of color in Mario's character animation in the Super Mario Odyssey segment. Easter Eggs Woah, you actually read up to this point? Okay, well, I'll let you in on a little secret: this animation is jam packed with a ton of hidden secrets/collectables. Try to spot the following:

Bosses and/or friendly side characters from each game

References to different Nintendo game console generations

5 cherries to give you "invincibility"

2 wonder seeds for a "sense of curiosity"

Franchise game/console codenames

A bunch of coins. Count all of them if you dare and they may reveal some meaningful Mario number lol . . . The following are variations of coins and values associated with them (does their final value mean anything?):

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀◦ Regular/Gold Coin - Simply 1 Coin⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀◦ Red Coin (SM64) - 1 Red Coin = 2 Coins⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀◦ Blue Coin (SM64) - 1 Blue Coin = 5 Coins⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀◦ Purple Regional Coin (SMO) - 1 Regional Coin = 2 Coins Credits Music in chronological order:0:00 ~ Super Mario Bros 2. - Ground Theme ~ Super Smash Bros. Shion on table

This is an animation and lighting school project I made in the span of about a week, then refined by adding Maya textures and adjusting accordingly. The character design/concept, character model and character rig were done earlier before this project by me within Photoshop, Maya and ZBrush. Animation and lighting was done afterwards by me. The models for the environment and props were sourced from Sketchfab with permission. Your hands clamped over her thighs, pulling her closer until your bodies were pressed in that perfect, unholy angle. She gasped, a raw breath. “Harder,” she hissed, voice low, eyes blazing. Your pulse thumped in sync with hers, each beat echoing in the tightness between you. The heat from her body pressed against yours, sweat slicking skin as she pushed forward, hips rocking like a storm. You felt the softness of her thighs scrape yours and she smirks, a fierce expression that sent shivers down your spine. She shoved her weight into you, demanding more. “You like it?” she breathed, voice trembling with desire. The world narrowed to the rhythm of breathing, mattress creaks, and bodies colliding. Her fingers dug into you, anchoring you while she moved faster, a jagged dance of pleasure and pain. Each thrust sent her moans up from her lips, raw, unfiltered, “Oh god… yes!” She kissed hard on the mouth, teeth grazing skin as she pulled herself closer. The heat between you was relentless, an electric charge that made your clothes cling to your body. When it finally ended, she lay sprawled beside you, breathing raggedly, chest heaving like a drumbeat. A wet sound echoed as she clamped her fingers around your collarbone, the pressure leaving a faint line. “We’re finished,” she whispered, voice husky with exhaustion and satisfaction. The silence that followed was thick, filled only by the sound of two hearts still racing from the storm you’d just weathered.

OPENSHOT CAN YOU STOP MAKING THE VID FLICKER

Hey Openshot can you like, not make the video flicker when I'm working on it, thanksseriously what the hell openshot i'm trying to make a video here and you're just making the footage blink WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TELLING ME anyways....It's been way too long since I did one of these, holy crap. I wanted to encapsulate my feelings about how discouraged I've felt from making videos with my OCs in them, or really any characters, for that matter. I also tried working with my Android tablet with Drawpile for this, hence the experimental label, but rendering this video is the same as always; my laptop with Openshot. Before you ask, yes. I've tried rendering this video with different presets selected within Openshot and I would either not have the intro play or it would just still flicker and IT'S SUPER ANNOYING, THIS WASN'T A PROBLEM BEFORE. I tried man, I really did, but jesus christ if I had to render this vid a few more times I woulda lost my mind so y'know what? Fuck it, I'd rather get this vid up than never have it existing in the first place. .... Maybe I'll just stick with making vids the classic way, 'ol Windows Movie Maker style. Didn't quite reach that 100% I was aiming for with the result. IDK it's because I had the dimensions of the assets be 1/2 the size and then later on resized up to be 100% instead of 50%, but like, uuuuuuuuuuughhhh this was a pain to deal with. Do I need a different video editor or something? I have zero idea man. Music is from Pixabay (don't worry newgrounds it's fair use).

new animation meme based off sad yaoi spongebob, lfg??

Description from YouTube: Dammnnn, I haven't had this surge of animation creativity course through me in YEARS. Shoutout to the #bikinihorrors dev. team for makin' this awesome mod, and the crazy song along with it! :DI also wanna make it clear that this isn't a vent animation or anything, I just wanted the animation to feel the kind of- edgy animation meme style from way back then, so I just made Liam, a brand new character on this channel (I think), depressed all because his drawing tablet was broken lol.But yeah! Introducing Liam, as well. A sona of mine that I've been using for a while, and haven't gotten around to showing off due to laziness.Loved the classic Animation Meme feel with the song, so I'm glad it's becoming a bit of a trend, hopefully more people animate their characters with it, or at least somethin' with the song's idea. Credit where credit is due, props to:

@/GetItMiller on Twitter for havin' an FLA of the animation meme with the background text, and the background itself.

Along with Bikini Horrors for being the mod behind the song.

(Play here: https://gamejolt.com/games/bikinihorr...)

And finally, the composers, who are credited in this video: (FOR YOU SOMEDAY ACTUAL SONG)

Loved the FNF mod stuff, hopefully we're getting back into animations SOON, but not sure! This thing DID take like three days of thinking about nothing else during, sooo it might take some time before something like this comes back naturally.===================================Hey! The first scene of an abandoned project from many years ago.

Alright. This is one of many animation projects I had created in the past. The first scene of a cartoon story about donating blood. Because during the 2010's decade I was a regular blood donor at my local hospital. Donating blood at least 5 times a year. This whole short animation is based off of a three panel comic story I had created in community college in 2016.The rest of the story you can find in my DeviantArt archive here:https://www.deviantart.com/joesketchconcepts-da/gallery/58280060/reciving-blood- I had only managed to fully illustrate the medical beds and blood donation machines that are copy pasted here and there. The rest of the background is the setting of a high school gymnasium turned into a blood donation center. And the animation of the Red Cross worker moving a portable wheeled table across the floor. Because I am a procrastinating fool who gets distracted real easy back then, I never finished this project. The animation is cruddy, But the visual details of the props still look good. To me at least.

Quick blood donation WIP scene.

Domina bent over on top of the mahogany table, her heart a frantic bird trapped in her ribs as she listened for the heavy click of the night guard’s boots on the marble outside. The moonlight cut through the floor-to-ceiling windows, turning the silver candelabras into jagged blades of light. She was trespassing in the one place she shouldn't be, and the sheer, terrifying weight of being caught was a live wire hum beneath her skin. She leaned forward, her palms flat against the polished wood, feeling the cold bite of the mahogany as he moved behind her like a shadow come to life. Her pussy was throbbing and she couldn't wait. A soft, broken moan—“Hnngh”—escaped her as her fingers curled around the edge of the table, her knuckles turning white. She wasn’t just fighting the heat coiling in her gut; she was fighting the urge to scream in a house that demanded total, elegant silence, her senses sharpening until she could feel every frantic pulse in her own throat. Every low, gutteral sound he made was a match struck in a dark room, igniting the tension until the risk of discovery felt less like a threat and more like a drug. She turned her head, eyes fluttering shut as the sheer scale of the sensation dismantled her composure, her breath hitching in ragged, shallow gasps. "Someone's going to hear," she whispered, a desperate, shaky sound that was immediately swallowed by his dark, vibrating laugh against her neck. She surrendered then, arching into the heavy, unrelenting rhythm, the fear of the consequences finally drowned out by the absolute, honeyed heat of the moment.

Proof of concept for our upcoming series MOTHELL

The Mothell is always open.Come in. Sit down.Something will come along. Okay, let me try to explain a bit of the context, even though words aren't really my thing. The concept is very simple: we're in this surreal diner/motel floating in a space/non-space, where ambiguous characters come looking for... rest? Comfort? Who knows... And where things happen. In every episode a new character is added, and there will be no time ellipses — they'll all be consecutive. All episodes together, watched in a row, will form a single short/feature film, I imagine.Nothing earth-shattering in the traditional sense, but every episode is a metaphor for something — although I won't be the one to say which ones, I'd like everyone to see what they want in it.There's a lore behind it, and what happens happens for a reason, but again, I'd like you to discover it as you go through the series. I'd like to tell you how this idea was born, but I've spent the last two weeks working so intensely day and night on this project... so many ideas, so many changes of direction, additions, modifications, that I've forgotten what the initial spark was. I think that at some point I simply said to myself "Hey, let's try to produce something, doesn't matter what." And so I started putting together some of the low poly assets I've created over the last few years, without worrying too much about the story, just to see what happened. To have that feeling again from when I was a child and played with my toys, and it was enough to just spread them out in front of me on the floor, and suddenly they came to life and anything could happen. And, just like back then, everything happened. I took my "abandoned factory" assets and built a diner out of them (if you look closely you'll notice everything is wrong — the tables are workbenches, so too high to comfortably eat at, and the counter is too low, which is why the protagonists sit in those awkward positions — and those are just two examples), I added a couple of human characters, and made up something for them to do.From there some stories started taking shape in my head, enough to start thinking about making a series out of it, and what seemed like a one-off thing now feels like one of the most interesting projects I've ever come up with. We'll see if that's true. The only rule I gave myself: I want it to be weird, to look off, to reflect my personal pursuit of the "not beautiful." I know, not much of all this happens in this first episode — the main goal here was to see if I was capable of finishing one — but I promise you, as we go on, it'll get better. Then, obviously it's all weird — or maybe I should say New Weird? I'm a huge Jeff VanderMeer fan — so I imagine you have to be into the genre a bit, but either way I'm giving it everything I've got. I'm also leaving here a photo of my paper storyboard, even if you probably won't make much sense of it, I can barely make sense of it myself haha — initially I was planning to post it only as a reel on Instagram, which is why it's in vertical format.Thank you so much for your attention and see you next time!
