Wireframe Cube - Animation

A CG animation of a robot set to the audio of the Voder, the first speech synthesizer.

This is an animation I've been wanting to do for about two years now. I became fascinated by The Voder as soon as I first heard the audio on YouTube. Upon noticing that nobody had animated anything with the audio, I took it upon myself to make a CG animation of a robot saying and acting out everything The Voder uttered all the way back during the 1939 New York World's Fair. However, I kept putting it off and delaying the project because I couldn't find out how to model the perfect robot to match the audio. I should mention that I've also been part of a small Discord research project recovering material and info about an unfinished early CGI film developed from 1979 to 1986, called The Works. Soon after enough wireframe drawings and 3D animation tests were found, one of the leaders of the project, Ziggy Cashmere, began making a 3D model recreation of Ipso Facto, the main robot from the film's story. As soon as I saw this model, I realized that it would be perfect to animate to this audio, given the similarities of both projects being initially unsuccessful but paving the way for future technological developments. With Ziggy's permission, I went about cleaning up the model and building a rig for it, and then I went about the lengthy tedious process of 3D animating the model to the audio of The Voder. This is currently the longest animated project I've ever completed by myself, but while it took a lot of energy out of me, I'm extremely proud of the final result. I hope you can all enjoy it too! Huge thanks to Ziggy Cashmere for finding so much material from the Works, uploading it online, and completing the modelling and textures for the Ipso Facto model! You can check out other lost media stuff he's uploaded here:https://www.youtube.com/@ZiggyCashmerehttps://archive.org/details/@ziggy451 Here's a YouTube upload of the original audio of The Voder: https://youtu.be/TsdOej_nC1M?si=1QYlrFHjJaJDrRiBAnd here's a compilation of recovered 3D animation from The Works that served as the primary inspiration for my animation: https://youtu.be/3cHJba3i75s?si=bYmqqpPB0dU3JztJ

[Project] Wireframe | Track 2 Freefalling is about leaving the ego behind, and a letter to my audience. PRESAVE: https://pilot.ffm.to/paper-skies-freefallingVisuals by Paper Skies | Released with Pilot Records. This single marks one of the earliest point of this album journey, where I asked myself who I wanted to be, and decided to embark on this 4 year long project. I realized that as I reached new heights in my career, I became less grounded with a clouded sense of reality. Music became a numbers game instead of what I truly loved and I was expressing myself less with every release. Making the choice to start this album was making a choice to leave this mindset behind. Through the lyrics of the track, I'm asking my audience if they will freefall with me back to ground 0 and wait patiently as I begin to tell my story. /// Paper SkiesSoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/user_paperskiesSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/3jtjn7NRlzHNIqdPvRf2WA?si=D37oDNIfT4qTjY69-wFzlgInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/paperskiesmusic/Twitter: https://twitter.com/PaperSkies_ScYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@PaperSkiesDiscord: https://discordapp.com/invite/a6FS2cx /// NytrixSoundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/NytrixMusicSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1s8cu0X2A5YDwCLRN8AjFaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/NytrixMusic/Twitter: https://twitter.com/NytrixMusicYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@NytrixMusic

However, after a galaxy ending threat emerges, The Council is left with no other choice but to have Rhombazoid go on an all or nothing suicide mission. Will Rhombazoid and Medusa emerge victorious? Or will evil triumph over our heroes? Either way, thank you for sticking around this long! Big thanks to the cast and everybody who helped make it happen!
