A ground attack aircraft created in the late 1970s by Fairchild-Republic, built around the 21 foot long GAU-8 Avenger 30mm rotary cannon. Known primarily for its durability and (in internet memes) the unique "BRRRRRRRRRT" sound of the gun in action.
