Feederism, also known as Feedism, refers to a romantic/sexual drive, dynamic or love language in which a character is encouraged, enabled, pushed or even forced to eat food and/or gain weight to become overweight (if not obese to morbidly obese).
The two parties are commonly referred as feeder and feedee.

The fetish can take a wide variety of dynamics. The receiving party may be oblivious to the other party's motives or their own expansion, reluctant, or consenting to it either in a dominant (commanding the other party) or submissive role. It can occur in either forced, non-consensual scenarios or romantic relationships, ranging from slow spoiling/enabling to proactive feeding, and sometimes involving mutual weight gain.
Feederism may also apply to solo gratification over gaining weight, more commonly known as simply "gaining".

While weight gain is an extremely common component in feederism, some scenarios may only involve feeding/stuffing with no implied weight gain.
