Description
Laurelinad is the name given to the playable Dark Elf character, known from Wood Elf starting quests.
He met Maegalcarwen when she, acting as the Crown's agent, was captures in Dark Elf lands (Zhurag-Nar) and was about to be sacrificed for their gods. Having already seen her before in his dreams, Laurelinad fell in love for her and made an oath to protect her. He cut off the high priestess' head and ran away with her to the human lands.
However, just after few quests together they split parts. If the player plays as the Dark Elf, he can find Meagalcarwen captured again in Zhurag-Nar caves, mortally wounding her upon his approach, with her telling that she loves him, but gods must have had different plans for them. If the player plays as the Wood Elf, then it's Laurelinad who gets captured at the very same place and gets killed.
