Description

A type of half-human, half-animal demigod creature from Greek and Roman mythology. In Greek art they were represented as a horse/human hybrid, but in Roman art they were represented as a goat/human hybrid, (exactly like another mythological goat/human hybrid, the Faun). Often associated with the Greek goat-like deity Pan, and renowned for pipe-playing and being hypersexual. Ancient art usually depicts them as human only from the waist up, but with animal horns/ears.
