Fictional character from the titular cartoon series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? and its various spin offs, movies, and direct to video releases.
Scooby-Doo is an anthropomorphic male Great Dane and life-long best friend of Shaggy Rogers (his "owner") as well as being a member of the amateur detective agency alongside Shaggy, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, and Fred Jones. Scooby shares characteristics with his owner, chief among these are a seemingly endless appetite and distinct cowardice. Despite being fearful they are both loyal and faithful companions. Scooby has a rather vast extended family of cousins, brothers, sisters, and nephews that seem to be from across the globe.
