Description
Abstraction is a concept in Glitch Productions' The Amazing Digital Circus. It is the result of a human trapped in the Digital Circus experiencing a complete psychological breakdown and their form within the Circus transforming into a mindless monstrosity. They appear as shapeless masses of jagged, endlessly twitching polygons with numerous multicolored eyes all over their bodies. An abstraction is feral, unthinking, and hyper-aggressive, attacking anyone and anything in its way. Based on the case of Kinger's wife Queenie, there is a possibility for abstractions to experience some form of lucidity in darkness, as it was only in the dark that Kinger was able to calm her.
Abstractions are strong enough to throw people around with no effort, fast enough to crawl around walls at high speed, and durable enough to fall from great heights and quickly recover from the impact. They are also known for their ability to jumble their victims via touch, which is seen as glitching out like an NPC in a horribly broken video game; textures shift colors and distort in shape, and the victim's voice scratches and stutters as if the result of low-quality audio mixing. Jumbling can also be transferred via physical contact with a victim of jumbling.
