Description

The Aegiri are a furred dragon-like alien species created by nekoisopods.
They're are generally bipedal and have a theropod-like body. They also have a radial mouth and four horns on their head as well as a prominent head tuft that can be stylized into different hairstyles. They’re covered in fur (or fur-like filaments) while also possessing feathered wings and their fur is usually spotted although it’s not uncommon for them to have other body coat and plumage patterns as well. They have five fingers and three toes along with retractable claws and in addition to their bipedal stance, they have digitigrade legs as well. Their tails are fluffy and have a spiral spike-like protrusion on the tips of their tails.
Aegiri are originally created in Spore and hence why some of their body features look like they’re from that game.
They’re known for their inverse dimorphism and gender roles, with the females being larger and stronger while the males are smaller and more agile. Despite being a matriarchal species, patrilineality is a thing in most Aegiri cultures. Their advancement to spacefaring was the fastest of all sophonts due to their far earlier development of aircraft; however, their technology is equivalent to the late 2010s-2040s eras of Earth.
