Description
Ammit is the Goddess of Judgment in the miniseries Moon Knight, voiced by Saba Mubarak. Arthur Harrow worships her and eventually succeeds in releasing her, upon which she begins planning to cast her pre-emptive judgment on all humanity. She and Harrow are ultimately stopped by the Moon Knight and his allies.
This version of Ammit differs significantly from her real-world inspiration, and should not be tagged as a deity or as Egyptian mythology. Moon Knight's Ammit is simply an anthro crocodile, whereas the real Ammit is a hybrid of a crocodile, lion and hippopotamus and was never depicted with human traits in the papyri. Moon Knight's Ammit also wears several gold rings in her hair, while the real Ammit sported at most a lion's mane for hair.
