The highly visible seam sometimes found on stockings, bodysuits, or pantyhose. Generally the seam runs down the back of the leg, hence the name, although it doesn't have to be. Modern manufacturing methods can create seamless hosiery, but sometimes a backseam is artificially included for visual flair.
