Description

note: This script has become deprecated with the upgrade to the new software.

This is a Perl script for posting pics on the site in batch mode. I haven't tried it with any Windows Perl, but it works for me under regular Unix Perl 5.8.8. You'll need a few Perl modules to make it go: scroll through for the "use" lines near the top, and either use your package manager to satisfy the dependencies, or grab them from CPAN
No warranties. Your mileage may vary. Use politely, and at your own risk.

ChangeLog

  • 2008-11-02 Anomynous: Update to work with the site redesign.
  • 2008-09-05 Anomynous: bit late I know, but furryartpile have shut up shop in a really stupid way that breaks everyone's bookmarks. Assume that for old files in people's stash, the artist has the same username on furaffinity.
  • 2008-07-28 Anomynous: more little fixes to username detection.
  • 2008-07-24 Anomynous: new features: Shorthand: you can now use a: and c: prefixes as shorthand for artist: and character:. Ratings support: use tags of the form rating:safe, rating:explicit, or rating:questionable to apply the corresponding ratings to your upload. You can use r: as a shorthand for rating:.

Code

The Textile instance here on the FAQ-Wiki no longer permits the posting of long snippets of code in a sane way. Let's use pastebin instead for now:
  • e621_post.pl v1.2.3
    • view
    • download (right click, save as "scriptname.pl")
    • MD5: 26b1c532322d1affa9aeca6aeeba6e46
You might want to check diffs, download the files and verify checksums etc.

TODO

  • Make it work with the real API instead of screen-scraped nastiness.
