A binary code is a value of data-encoding convention that usually consists of a string of 0s and 1s, sometimes called a bit string. It is based on the binary system, in which there are only two possible states, on and off, which are represented by 0 and 1.
It is largely present in digital technology, representing data, texts, and instructions, having been used as a basis for computers and various programming languages.
