Black Sun is a sun wheel symbol first appearing as a design element of in a castle at Wewelsburg, remodeled and expanded by the head of the Schutzstaffel (SS), Heinrich Himmler.
While this symbol appeared nowhere else in Nazi Germany, in the late 20th century it became widely used by neo-Nazi, neo-fascist, the far-fight, and white nationalists. In 2014-2015, Black Sun was used along mirrored Wolfsangel on Azov Battalion badge (part of National Guard of Ukraine), and also as a part of the 2014-2022 logos 2nd Hundred, Artillery division and Engineer-sapper company within Azov Battalion and Regiment; later Black Sun was dropped from all three logos.
