Description

French fries (American and Canadian English), fries, chips (British English), or French-fried potatoes are deep-fried potatoes cut into stick shapes, served hot and either soft or crispy.

Not to be confused with chips (food), which refers to stuff like potato chips (to which British people call crisps), or the Lilo & Stitch character Frenchfry.
