Description
Sometimes called a double nelson or a double shoulder lock, full nelson is a grappling hold executed from behind the opponent, facing the same direction as them.
Both arms are used to encircle the opponent's arms and/or legs under the armpits, and secured behind the opponent's neck and head.
Because it can be used as a limited neck crank, it is considered dangerous in some grappling arts, and is banned, for instance, in amateur wrestling.
