Description
A combination of two or more characters leading to a new character.
Tagging Notes
When tagging posts with fusion characters in it, it is imperative to also include character tags for the constituent characters along with the fusion character's name (should they have any) as well as the fan_character tag (if they are a fan made character as they often are) and the crossover tag (should the constituent characters originate from different franchises).
Example: A post depicting a fusion of Garfield the Cat and Nicole Watterson. = Tag the post with fusion, garfield_the_cat, nicole_watterson, fan_character, and crossover.
Related tags:
- fusion_dance - A method of fusing popularized by Dragon Ball Z.
- hexafusion - A multi-fusion chart depicting a three-character fusion alongside regular fusions of every combination of the three constituent characters.
Not to be confused with
- crossover_cosplay / cosplay - The character is merely wearing the clothes and/or hairstyle of another character.
- hybrid - The species equivalent.
- merging or conjoined - While either of these tags can overlap with "fusion", if multiple characters are literally being physically merged or conjoined together, "merging" or "conjoined" should also be used.
