Description
The giant panda, or simply panda, is a large species of bear found in China. Known for the distinct patches of black around its eyes, ears, and the rest of its body, the panda is in decline today thanks to its diet of near-exclusively bamboo and reluctance to breed in captivity.
The giant panda should not be confused with the red panda, which is unrelated.
