Hot chocolate or hot cocoa (also simply cocoa) is a heated beverage made with hot (but not boiling) water or milk and chocolate, the latter usually from a powdered mix. Most popular during cold winter months, it can be accented with additional flavorings such as whipped cream, a peppermint stick, and marshmallows.
