Description

A transference of one trait from one individual to another (or implying of this), that being a virus, transformation or std (Sexually transmitted Disease). It also may be an un-transmitted infection, such as cancer, or a bacterial infection of certain types, such as an infected wound or some such thing. I am personally unsure whether it counts as an infection for a rotting reanimated undead but you could argue that they wouldn't have an immune system or be alive in the traditional sense, therefore making it more similar to a patch of mold growing a rock.
