Description

A machete is a large, cleaver-like knife with a broad blade, used as both a weapon and an implement for cutting vegetation. It is believed to be a descendant of the cutlass, a famous naval sword with similar attributes that was used for similar purposes. In fact, in the English-speaking Caribbean, the word "cutlass" is used as a word for machete.
