Description
The leaf of a maple tree, frequently depicted in art set during the autumn as falling leaves, maple leaves are also depicted on packaging for maple products, such as maple syrup.
The maple leaf is the national icon of Canada, and is seen on the Canadian flag as a red, stylized, 11-pointed symbol (however, artwork may further simplify this leaf). Maple leaves are frequently seen in art with Canadian themes, and on characters wearing clothing associated with Canada (e.g. sports jerseys, uniforms, hats, patches for Canadian organizations)
