Description

Any character who is unable to verbally communicate with anyone, whether by birth or trauma. These characters usually communicate to others via sign_language, telepathy, or other non-verbal means.

This tag should only be applied to an image or comic that explicitly states that a character is mute or shows non-verbal communication associated with being mute (or in the case of technology, the actual word being displayed on the screen). Not saying a word or typing/texting on a computer - by themselves or together - do not qualify for this tag, as characters that can talk can also keep quiet, type, and text.
