Description

In ancient Greek mythology, there was a beast called the Chimera. It was the sibling of Cerberus and the Hydra. The exact structure of the Chimera's body varies, as many Greek myths do, from century to century. The most common description is body and head of a lion, a goat's head on it's back, and a serpent for a tail. However, other tales say that the Chimera's rear half is that of a dragon. Others still describe it as a lion in the front, snake in the back and goat in the middle. The Chimera is sometimes seen breathing fire.
While the word chimera is used to describe any creature who's body is made of obviously different animal parts, or as some nature of genetic hybrid, this tag is exclusively for creatures that are some combination of lion, goat, and snake.
That said, there is some mild flexibility involved. The snake tail, for example, may be swapped for more a dragon's head, the chimera may have three heads instead of two, or perhaps the goat is a sheep instead.
