patch_(fabric)

• a small piece of fabric used to repair a tear in a larger piece, usually on clothing, or sometimes sewn in advance onto high-wear areas like elbows or knees to prevent tears;
• a small embroidered design (often a logo) attached to clothing or accessories to signify affiliation with or support of an organization or cause, or military rank
