Description
A rifle is a firearm designed to be fired from the shoulder, with a barrel that has a helical groove or pattern of grooves ("rifling") cut into the barrel walls.
Types
- assault_rifle - A rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and is capable of select fire (automatic or semi-automatic fire)
- battle_rifle - A rifle that uses a full power cartridge and is capable of select fire as well, may also be used for older semi-automatic rifles that use full power cartridges.
- repeating_rifle - also known as a repeater is a rifle that could discharge multiple times in between ammunition reloads. This term is mainly for older weaponry and not modern weapons.
- sniper_rifle - A rifle designed to be used for accurate long distance shooting, similar but different from a designated_marksman_rifle, which fulfills a similar role of accurate fire but is semi-automatic and intended for use at less extreme distances.
