Description
The act of shaping, molding, carving, chipping, etc. a solid material (by hand or through tools) into a particular shape or form as a form of artistic expression as opposed to practical or utilitarian purposes.
Not to be confused with
- sculpt / sculpture - The product of sculpting.
- sculptor - The character doing the sculpting or the profession.
- body modification - Altering the appearance of a living thing.
