Description

Solar punk is a utopian genre of speculative fiction that imagines a future society where renewable energies are the dominant form of energy production. It is also a political movement that advocates for such a future. Solarpunk art is generally hopeful and tries to depict people living in balance with nature and technology. The political movement is also associated with post-capitalism and decolonialism.

Solarpuk art frequently contains futuristic or current day technology, depictions of nature and the outdoors and examples of day-to-day living in such a society.
