"Starter trio" is a popular fanmade term in the Pokémon fandom meant to refer to the three starting Pokémon belonging to the Pokémon Professor of the region where the adventure takes place.
Three starting Pokémon of different types are offered to the player at level 5: a Grass-type a Fire-type and a Water-type
