Stegosaurians are a herbivorous, Ornithischian group of dinosaurs. They tend to be quadrupedal and have distinctive armored plates running along their backs, hips, and tails. They often have thagomizers, the distinct arrangement of spikes on their tails. The use of their distinctive plates have been subject to speculation, with many believing its a form of defense, thermoregulation, and/or some type of display.
