List of tags related to how a picture organize the presentation of his content.
This is not related to how objects of a scene are physically located.
ways of cutting content
General layout
- Only one view : no tag found yet to say exactly that
- multiple part (without saying how related to each other) : no tag found yet to say exactly that
- multiple panels, as most comic pages.
- grid_layout - content evenly spaced in rows and columns.
- floating_layout - multiple things on the picture, non framed, surrounded and clearly separated by a empty space.
- borderless_layout - when none of the part of a comic is framed but things are juxtaposed one on top of the other.
View of a scene/character/object
- cutaway (inset panel) - small panel within a larger image that depicts something within the same scene that is unseen in the larger view
- disembodied - when a part of a body is drawn alone without the rest of the body, while in reality it's connected to a body
- panel with his own border (without saying if part of story)
See comic for more details but some of the listed tags are subject to deletion. Overlays
Around everything
- border - a border around the whole image
- outside_border - when a character or an object is drawn or animated partially outside of the border of the image
- black_bars - when an image contains black bars on any two sides of an image
- letterbox - an edge only above and below the content. (not always black)
- pillarbox - an edge only at left and right of the content. (not always black)
By usage
show only one independent part
No tag found yet to indicate it that a picture is made of only one part.
Example of usage :
- pinup - picture of only a model posing in a suggestive way, focusing only on it. No addition, no overlays.
Multiple parts related by time
- comic - posts that tell a story with sequential panels. A page usually has multiple parts but can have only one.
- sequence - showing the progression of one event over time through multiple images. Those images are strongly correlated (not like comic).
Multiple parts independent by time
Those are tags about multi-part picture that are not comic.
No tag known for designing all of those case. Example of usage :
- multiple_images - multiple independent images or animations. They don't follow a history.
- character_collage - collages that feature a large group of posed characters, where the characters are drawn together with minimal interaction between them
- one subject list
- model_sheet - A reference tool used to help standardize the look of a character
