Description
The "Real or Cake" trend refers to the phenomenon of hyper-realistic cakes designed to perfectly mimic everyday objects, foods, or characters which became popular in 2020 before the trend died in 2022, partly thanks to the Netflix show "Is It Cake"?.
The trend would have people create and share videos where they challenge viewers to guess if an item is a real object or a cake designed to look like it. The trend highlights impressive cake artistry & techniques, with bakers meticulously crafting cakes that are almost indistinguishable from the real deal before they are cut in half to reveal the surprise.
Also known as "These Are All Cakes" or "Everything Is Cake".
