Umbrella term for the eye of Ra (=right wedjat eye) or the eye of Horus (=left wedjat eye).
If you cannot determine which kind of eye it is,[sup]*[/sup] you can always use 'Wedjat eye' as common denominator.
[sub][sup]*[/sup]This is particularly evident in depictions from ancient Egypt. The ancient Egyptians typically depicted objects in profile, usually in order to show all the important features at once. Unfortunately, this can make it difficult to determine whether an object is on the left or right side.[sub]
