Do you have a doomsday stockpile? What's in it and what do you recommend?Yes. Hell yes. I have various foods (freeze dried mres and fresh stock that's rotated) to last me at least a couple months, plus I fish and hunt.
A week's worth of drinking water minimum (plus the ability to collect and purify about 250 gallons of rain water easily unless nukes happen), lots of ammunition for my rifles in 308 and 223 calibers (in a pinch they work in 7.62 and 5.56 nato firearms and the other way around), about 5,000 rounds of .22 for small game, plus a shotgun for close-up work.
Power banks (obviously) and several ways to charge them. I have a bunch of USB powered light bulbs in my stockpile so I can light up every room in the house for days on power banks alone. But obviously keep lights low to attract less attention.
Camping shower (tested with water heated on the oven, worked great), toilet paper, toothbrushes and extra toothpaste for basic sanitation. Alcohol, antibac, first aid supplies, matches, lighters, several years of firewood.... and an ethanol burner if firewood runs out or is unsafe to fetch or burn (smoke smells and is visible), a decent amount of cash money....
Comms: 5 handheld multi-band radio sets for local vhf and uhf communication, always charged. I am licensed for hunting and maritime frequencies. Also partnered up with an old ham licensed buddy a few miles away who has HF capability and can talk and message around the world on ham bands.
Add to that a few cans of fuel (gas/petrol for my cars, diesel for my boat), propane stoves for cooking, multiple solar panels and batteries (with 12V to mains inverter to keep the freezer and refrigerator running), a couple gasoline powered generators as backup.... you're starting to get the idea.
I keep a couple of 50 year old cars around too, they're in decent shape and no electronics so will work even if an emp or a solar storm messes with newer cars.
Larger items: an old fishing boat and a secluded mountain cabin in a very rural area that's full of deer.
No, I'm not American.Definitely a casual prepper, I have about 300 cans of various beans and soups. Probably about 30k rounds of ammoi always got a stocked pantry but i also have tons of disgusting shelf stable nutritionally balanced food powder mix stuff that i won't be tempted to eat unless i absolutely need to. week or two of water but i don't really trust that for long term storage.>>2907779 >The Sun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGscoaUWW2M>>2907779 >primers >casing >smokeless powder and chemical precursors for processing additional cellulose >decently stocked machine shop with various fuel options do you need anything else?
