For months now, I've been conducting a visual experiment with my old animation, "Mina Hamada Yukiza." I'm using a film noir filter and texture reminiscent of retro Japanese samurai films, in the style of Akira Kurosawa.

I'm creating a combination of animation and visual effects (unfinished) that attempts to simulate handheld camera movement and lens blur for my animated web series pilot episode (which is divided into two parts). Using this film-quality color and texture filter, and including rain effects and lens flares from the virtual camera (all thanks to Sony Vegas 12 Pro):
