Hank: Drowning on dry land - intro animation

"In The Now Eventually" is a new channel dedicated to independent fiction read and recorded by professional voice actors. In a time when it's harder for unpublished short story authors to have their work read, "In The Now, Eventually" seeks to give those writers a platform by featuring their work in an 'audiobook' format, making it more accessible for otherwise busy readers. Today we are proud to finally share with you, Dynamite Slasher. A short crime fiction story, in homage to the works of High Bridge Productions. I'd like to thank Lindsay Ayliffe for generously lending their talent to this project and bringing the reading to life, as well as the incredible music talent of Lisa Crawford. Thank you both so much for your effort, I am truly humbled by your partnership on this project, it means the world to me. <pre>For months now, I've been conducting a visual experiment with my old animation, "Mina Hamada Yukiza." I'm using a film noir filter and texture reminiscent of retro Japanese samurai films, in the style of Akira Kurosawa.

I'm creating a combination of animation and visual effects (unfinished) that attempts to simulate handheld camera movement and lens blur for my animated web series pilot episode (which is divided into two parts). Using this film-quality color and texture filter, and including rain effects and lens flares from the virtual camera (all thanks to Sony Vegas 12 Pro):

Noir's Bedtime

This cartoon has experienced an inordinately long development cycle. Since the last installment of this series I made fourteen cartoons that expanded the story, but didn't further it. So here we are, one more step forward. This cartoon is the longest I've ever done. Once again, HUGE thanks to Cheshyre for breathing some serious life into this beast with his music, which once again was a perfect fit. Huge thank you to Cturix, who didn't just help with the audio he took the whole of it under his wing. And big ol' thanks to Cethic for helping me with some slack art that I hadn't done right the first time. and OF COURSE, an ENORMOUS thanks to those of you who have ever chosen to support my Patreon, even once. You literally made this possible. Future projects will most certainly be employing help. But next up is the finale of the dedmos series so keep a look out for that, as I will be CERTAINLY not taking seven years to animate it. I hope you like it. Youse guyses are the wind beneath my wings.

Madness Combat 11: Expurgation

Tracer and McCree's relationship comes to a violent end.

Feels surreal to finally be finished. Think I'm going to sleep and play Zelda for a week! I started this before the comic came out that revealed that Tracer is gay. Was a bummer when it came out, I knew it would change how people see the cartoon. Anyway, hope you enjoy :)

Enjoy the magic show, The Magician has some tricks up his sleeve!

I had been always a huge fan of Madness series so I thought we could give some love for this special day. So here is it, my entry for the contest. This is also my first Madness movie ever. Now, a brief introduction to Madness... Krinkels, author of this series, submitted a movie entitled "Marsh-Mellow-Madnes s" nine years ago which was pretty humorous. It has the first appearance of the characters but did not start becoming popular until Combat Series were released. Madness has indeed changed since it's first quickie, you all know what I mean ;) The Magician attempts to have that classic comedy style Madness originally has in the very firsts ones. We hope everyone will enjoy the movie as much as we have making it Happy Madness Day 2011!

Animators, voice actors, programmers, original musicians, and designers unite under one project LADY NOIR ____
this idea started way back in December when i was recalling how i used to love watching the "noir" section on newgrounds before i was an animator. So i started this idea (and with the help of phobotech altering the idea a bit) and it became what it is now! this project has some truly great artists involved and it was a pleasure to work with all of them! so i hope u guys enjoy! - please recommend us to the noir section!

A 13 minute long film noir parody, the final official Star Syndicate flash

Thanks for the front page Tom! Happy Star Day 2008! Here is the flash you've all been waiting for. "Night in Hotlanta" is an immense 13 minute long megaflash that includes Parts 1, 2, and 3 of Dailytoon #400. This flash has been 6 months in the making, 4 months since the release of Part 1. It is undoubtedly the most effort the Star Syndicate has ever put into a flash animation. It is also most likely the LAST official Star Syndicate flash collab ever; after this, we will still be around but no longer as a crew. The style and graphics of each part varies based on the artist that animated it, but the story remains constant. Please be patient while the flash loads, it is 13 MBs so it should take awhile. But trust me, it is worth the wait. This is a DVD edition so there are some special features, including scene selection and voice actor commentary. During the movie, right click for playback controls. Thanks to everyone who helped with this. Its an incredible relief to finally get it done. Enjoy!

Night in Hotlanta

Dailytoon #400 is a flash noir. The characters in it are based on real life members of the Star Syndicate. It is unlike most Dailytoons in the past because it actually has a complex storyline, with a script that was written by f0d, Zerostar, and Roymasta. Oh and apologies for having to split it in half like this, the filesize would've gotten too huge. Part 2 will be out soon. For now, enjoy Part 1

Dailytoon #400: Part 1

Can we be forgiven even if we betray the ones we love?

EDIT 3* Hahah. Woo hoo. Thanks Tom, I think, for putting this is in the serious shorts section. Great! :) Also, for some time now I've been trying to bump the score up to a 4.00 and it just hasnt been working, but its finally there thanks to you guys :0 EDIT 2*I would like to say to all who have appreciated this work: Thank you so much! The audience of this piece is unbelievably suprising. Hmm. Oh ya I would also ask if some of you guys could suggest this to the noir section or mabey serious shorts. mabey together we can get it in, i dunno. thanks alot! :) EDIT 1*Front page! I love newgrounds! Thank you so much for your support! Also thanks to all who tried desperatly to discover the meaning behind this animation! It makes me feel good! :)* I planned this one out pretty graphicly in my mind. I had planned the elevator scene before I even started working on scene one. So after about 7 months of off and on work, its done. For this guy, I focused on high contrast and extreme saturation as well as no saturation at all. I also focused on the theme, which may be hard-core invisible to you guys, but I would love to see some reviews which try to guess the moral of the story, so to speak. Enjoy and thanks for watching!

Thanks for the Daily 3rd Place - 06/24/2006 &lt;3 Yeh I know the voices suck, I hate them.
Btw, this is the short version, it's missing a lot. So you may not understand it, most people do ... I hope. ---
This is for my Major Project, I wrote the story last september. I started and finished animating this last month (120hrs), so you can see where I took shortcuts. I cut out heaps, I dont think this version even makes much sense anymore. It's kinda got clues... I hope you...some how, enjoy this.
I don't really like how it turned out. Cheers [:

**Thank you for all the comments and critiques! I'm working on an actual book version of The Little Girl. For all news related to that, visit Skary.net!** 8-minute animated storybook about a small child who has been forgotten by absolutely everyone. She finds a way to be noticed, all right... but at the expense of everyone's lives. This one is more about the story and the art, so woe all ye who enter here hoping for explosions and fight scenes and stuff. It's hardly perfect, either, but it's a start. If your attention span is intact, you might not mind this one so much.

hey how's it going?

you're right this could kill you...
But I prefer this than a gun to the head It's slow acting, but it get the job done. What I'm about to show you is a story about a man's pain that can only be hammered down with guns and bullets.
You should sit down for this.
This might hurt a bit. ____

New flash in 2 days? WTF? Yes, that's right. Compared to Majora's Mask: Revealed, this movie is really short (and has better visuals in order to please the graphics whores). It's a Metroid II: RoS parody, but you can still understand it if you've played other Metroid games. Also, this is my first project with absolutely no outside help (DDRFreek did the voice of Link in MM:R, and gave me the idea for it). Well, Enjoy.

Metroid Sex Education

A young girl is confronted by a shadow, who asks her a minor favour...

** Notice: Text will fly by fast! So read faster! **
** Warning! Some scenes might be found Very disturbing to some. ** 15/04/09 More News: It's still happening. 05/08/06 Additional News: I've updated the file with a new one. New fonts, less faulty grammar and replaced the old Lilium *opening version* song with the extended one. The transfer went... Swell. =) Please have a look. Edit: Ok... Things are going too far. I had no IDEA where this submission would end up after posting it here on Newgrounds. And honest to God, I am overwhelmed by the response that I've got. I try to keep up with the reviews and mails that you send me. And if you sent a mail and I havn't responded, I am sorry... There are just so many. T.T Based on the amount of reviews, I feel there is need for some (even further) explanation of stuff:
1. Some of you feel that the story is lacking and has no real substance. I understand this, since I had to cut it short because of the length of the song (which I had to edit and generaly murder to make it twice as long). The text fly by fast because of the same problem.
2. And as for the gory part... I try to keep open minded about things in the world and I dont get upset easily... Things I find minor offensive, others might find alot worse. And if you open your eyes a bit you'll realize that things like these actually DO happen.
3. Lilium... She's a special girl. Try to have that in mind before you judge her.
4. The Shadow and the Brother... There's a reason why he wanted her brother the way he was.
5. I didnt have any political thoughts with this movie... Whatever happens in the movie does not have anything to do with my political views on anything. Its just a story.
6. I am not a Goth. I am not Emo. I just like writing stories. I hate being labeled.
7. I did write the dialogue... Though it was a very bold move since I've never rhymed in all my life and English isnt my native language. (I'm Swedish for those who are curious.)
8. The song is from the Anime, Elfen Lied. At first when I saw the anime I was a bit stunned. But I loved it in a non-sadistic way (if that's possible). Some of you say my story is identical (or near it) to Elfen Lied's story... Which I find odd. Only similarity might be the excessive violence, other than that... No. 9. ... I am working on a sequel... And it will be alot different from this one. *End of Edit* This is my first Flash creation ever and it took about 4 days to complete. I had never before seen Flash in action so I pretty much learned as I went by... Never before have I sceamed that much and cried because the software didnt work with me... Still the thing came out pretty ok.
There isnt really any "animation" in this piece... Its more of a slideshow of sorts, telling of a very important event in the young girl, Lilium's, life.
The main thought of the movie was for it to work as a presentation for my RPG character (regular D&amp;D style... Paper and Pen)... There are some written dialogue in there... Read fast! The script was longer than the song would alow... Enjoy! P.S
Promise my next uploads will contain alot more animation and alot more action. ^^d
