OMG IT'S FINALLY DONE!

After well over a year in the making, Talons and Flurries is finally edited and finished. It's production was exhausting, with a lot of bumps in the road, but I'm really happy with how it turned out! It definitely isn't perfect, as there are a few areas where the audio and particle effects could have been elevated, as one of my first attempts at an animated film, I feel like it gets the job done.

This film takes place in the Wings of Fire universe, and features some Mudwing ocs. And yes, they are PUREBRED Mudwings. Canon be damned, I really loved the color palettes I chose, as I feel like they reflect each character's personality really well. The main protag is named Ginkgo, the mostly green Mudwing, who is eager to prove himself the strongest in his tribe with completely reckless abandon. His eldest brother Gastro is the bigwings of the group, and grows frustrated upon having to reign him in during a practice hunt. Last but not least is Arion, the youngest, and most anxious about his sibling's safety. There are at least 4 other siblings who aren't featured here, but all of them are named after snails/mollusks and have some shade of orange in them. Ginkgo meanwhile is actually an adoptive sibling, making him more adamant to prove himself.

I overall enjoyed animating these guys and figuring out their anatomy. I based the main run cycle off of a lion's for reference, while for every other form of locomotion, I just winged it. I'm also happy with the vocals for all these animals, as I feel like I was able to give way more emotion to the bull specifically.
