Hi, I created this recreation of the "Hitogata" commercial/urban legend in collaboration with my friend Soup pepesalfonso, who contributed the music. For those unfamiliar with the context: "Hitogata" is a case of unconfirmed lost media—or perhaps a Mandela effect—that originated on the 2chan forum in 2004, within a thread about unsettling Japanese commercials. Here is the translated original text:

"There was a terribly frightening commercial that I’ve always remembered. Two white humanoid figures are drawn against a black background, and the sound 'can, can' plays over and over. Then, a voice says, 'On Earth, a person dies every two seconds,' and one of the figures disappears as the sound plays twice. A moment later, the figure reappears in its original spot, and this time, the other one vanishes. The commercial just repeats endlessly."
