In this episode Caleb finds a Sqounk, a cryptid that is known for crying

In this episode Chloe, and Caleb, Caleb finds a Sqounk, a cryptid that is known for how ugly it is, and how sad it is. Chloe never saw it though. She thinks cryptids are fake. This is a prototype/ proof of concept for an indie animated series I want to make. Voice of Chloe: https://www.youtube.com/@UCveiLShYAsGyyGmmHgp6J9A Cryptic adventures of Caleb and Chloe is a series about two teens they are the last humans on the planet Earth, possibly the entirety of existence! After surviving in their small dead town for quite some time, they finally discover the existence of cryptids! Caleb always knew they existed but no one believed him. He finally has proof! But what is the point of proof if everyone else is dead? What is the point of anything? He still documents, what he can. To prove to himself, to his step sister, and to an audience of no one. Chloe is somewhat is a cynic. She didn't believe in cryptids until recently. She is a survivalist. Not interested in things that does not make sense to her. She believes these cryptids, every last one of them is dangerous, and to be exterminated.I posted my youtube version here.

Zee and Lisa try to log the Nurikabe into their creature index, the Collectio Obscurae

The Nurikabe are large yokai that are said to block unsuspecting traveler's paths which can be found in certain parts of Japan. They are said to be giant, wall-like creatures with faces similar to a dog or an elephant. It is debated if they can become invisible.

have you ever met the rotator?

Keaton’s quiet night is interrupted by a rustle in the bushes… KARO NOTES:So you may sorta know Keaton from the Nov 2024 animatic I did. This time, he’s been redesigned into a more Felix the Cat shape (some people thought it was a Sonic thing) I think it’s the best he’s ever looked throughout his decade of existence, it’s fun to express with and see in action. This short was largely done in December, so I had to add back in a few PINGtreon supporters from the time. It was also originally supposed to be a part of a different larger project I had in store related to the Donkey Kong Country TV Show, but I plucked it from there because I liked it enough to keep it independent. That said, there are a lot of small nods to the DKC show in this. The statue of Vin the Mothman was made to resemble the DK statue Cranky has in his hut. The record player was based on the one used in “Double Date Trouble”, as well as it being used to ward off the Kritters. The cloth that Keaton drapes over the windows is based on K.Rool’s cape, he has pots of cacti similar to the ones seen in Funky’s place, he has Cranky Kong’s globe with Kongo Bongo Island mapped in there, the lantern, alot of Keaton’s RV was based on Cranky’s Cabin. For the music to this one, I went out and got a panflute and a pipehorn to bring in a more naturalistic feeling to this one. I wanna tie Keaton’s movements to the panflute and have that accentuate the way he acts. I had a finger piano laying around for a few years now from a reptile zoo gift shop, so I used that here. I knew I’d use it in relation to a Keaton short at some point, and now I have. I wanna go more complex with the music I do in these shorts. There shall be more to come for Keaton… ~KARO '26 TO JOIN THE PILLOWFORT► https://patreon.com/CountessKAROWHERE ELSE TO FIND ME►https://countesskaro.carrd.co/STORE►https://countess-karo-shop.fourthwall.com/

Keaton's Cryptid Safari - "Keaton Gets Bushed"

It's that time of the year where hunters of all shapes and sizes look out for the biggest prize in the Cryptid Hunting Season. Reina, her right-wing man and a trusty horse, could only mean a mix of trouble, adventure, and a fat chunk of compensation. Where are they going with a cheap axe, a loaded backpack and a old horse? This question alone answers itself in many ways beyond explanation.

Squonks are a self loathing, elusive cryptid creature believed to live in the forests of Northern Pennsylvania. While attempts to approach a Squonk may result in the creature melting into a puddle of its own tears, a documentary film crew managed to sit one down for an interview. “A Squonk’s Day” follows this interview as we learn about the Squonk’s species, way of life, and even the Squonk’s tragic past. I am excited to share my stop motion film, “A Squonk’s Day” with you! I had a lot of fun putting this film together and I truly hope you enjoy watching it! "Did you really think love could break the spell on your brother? You've watched one too many romcoms, Twilight Sparkle. Love had nothing to do with it. I did things to him that broke his mind, and the slime is going to give you a little taste of it..." Corruption Pod YCH for Shadowdath. Boy do I have a lot to say about this, because from day one, this animation felt like it was alive and fighting me. I would like to state clearly, for the record, that this was NOT the fault of the commissioner, but rather my own inexperience with animation and POSSIBLY a spiteful machine-spirit (Maybe even a gremlin, gnome, imp, boggart, fairy, demonic entity, or some other cryptid or paranormal entity) At first everything seemed peachy. Parts were being made. The background was ready to go. All I had to do is string them together. Easy peasy? Haha NO! I'd move a certain peg, and it would pull a cell out of place. So I'd try to put that piece back in place, and the peg would move it out again. So I'd go put it back... etcetera. For those who do not understand the terminology, imagine this: Say you have twilight's head. Now say you have to move twilight's head to the right in one frame. Now you go back to the previous frame, and the head is like an inch off the neck. Yeah, this happened over and over. If I was quiet, I could almost hear the program laughing at me. This caused me many many ragequits over the months. That's when I learned... Pegs are for *characters* not *character parts.* So I had to rip all the pegs out and reposition the parts manually. So basically I had to do it all over, and even then it was prone to popping out of place. If that sounds like fun to you, might I suggest you return to the hellraiser dimension you came forth from. Then... came the exporting. If I ever needed proof that this thing was alive and fighting me, this was it. So I had my animation all ready to go. I click export... then "video settings" and... nothing. I click "ok" and then... nothing. I did this maybe five times, even REINSTALLED THE WHOLE THING (google was ZERO help) and I could feel a headache building. Then I tried exporting as a PNG sequence... that worked. So I figured I could just get it made into a video, right? I'll just google a way to do that and... yeah, Google is about as useful as an AI Artist when their power grid goes down. Blender had video editing software, but to my horror it exported this 500 frame, 16 second, 700 x 935 video... as a 1.18 gigabyte video. Something that I could never share over discord, or even e-mail to shadowdath. All hope seemed lost, but then I found OpenShot, a free video editor. It let me make the video into something that was a paltry 27mb but with a catch: It had to be 1080p. VeryWell.jpeg. Even now at the time of posting, it feels like it tries to resist (making the description permanently buffer with "saving?" What a grand and intoxicating innocence!) I'll even bet that this whole description will surpass the character limit and I will be forced to make a journal. But if you are reading this, I have persevered and uploaded. And I'm like a hundred bux richer. Suck it! tl;dr: I've been to hell and worse with this animation. But I have conquered it. Because I am *man.* I am Machine's *god!* More trivia with this animation: -Chrysalis' appearance, and the Changeling Prod, were free of charge. I felt the animation would be better with both of them. The prod would explain how Twilight cannot leave the pod circle. -This will be the last time in one of these animations that I use separated legs, because they are just awkward. -The geiger-esque hive is how I always viewed the Changeling Home, and I still prefer it over the canon changeling caves. -I have plans to draw Twilight Sparkle in her new "bad girl" outfit. -Yes, I do intend to post the frames separate on my usual spots, if you are reading this on Newgrounds, you will find them below.
