This is a turnaround of my very first 3D project. The assignment was for us to create a 3D model of a character on Blender, but there is no need to make it overly complex. Since I didn't have any experience in 3D animation, I chose to make my model based on the lucky cat since it's simple, cute, and doesn't require too many layers. Now making the model was by no means easy, but I stuck through the hardships and this is the best I can offer.

To avoid any music copyright issues on the platform but still be a part of Madness Day 2026, I’m hosting my animatic on YouTube via this embed <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0Wri9Uc5S1w?si=TABAhDtyAwZqbwpt#ngq:560:315" data-smart-scale="560,315"></iframe> Happy Madness Day 2026, everyone! Honestly, I only remembered about Madness Day toward the end of August. I guess I realized just in time that I needed to finally make something after all my time in this community—especially for the anniversary celebration!Originally, I planned to make this project in 3D. But I ended up wasting a whole day just trying to make a stylized Hank model, so I eventually gave up. I realized it would take way too long. With only 20 days left before Madness Day, I just animated the scenes as fast as I could to make the deadline. That’s why it’s in a rough sketch style. I don't have many fully finished animations under my belt, but overall, I'm really happy with how it turned out! And by the way, my cat did all the animation<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/672/iu_1672898_29108901.webp" alt="iu_1672898_29108901.webp" data-smart-scale="764,523">

The Amazing Story of the Phantom Cat is an animated short that I wrote, animated, and scored between December 2022 and April 2023. It was my first experience making a 2D animated short, so it was a cascade of challenges that turned into countless learning experiences.I made the animation using Krita. Hours and hours of drawing, erasing, and drawing all over again. I had already composed the music long before, but I arranged it specifically for this short, trying to understand the logic of timing and repetition in animation, using LMMS.I was lucky enough to have some great ghostly friends—José Haidar, Marcelo Cáceres, Agustina Conti, and Daniela Barrionuevo—lend their voices to the narration and characters.I hope you enjoy The Amazing Story of the Phantom Cat! Beyond the joy of bringing this project to life, this short film allowed me to connect with incredible people from the world of animation, mainly through its participation in film festivals. In October 2023, The Amazing Story of the Phantom Cat was screened at FAN – Festival Audiovisual de Neuquén (Argentina), as part of the Official Selection of National Animated Shorts. In December 2023, it was also part of the Official Selection of Animated Shorts at AnimaVerso Festival, held in Florianópolis (Brazil). In January 2024, it was screened in Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) as part of EDO 2024, and in May of the same year, it was screened at Anima Latina in Buenos Aires, Argentina.I never imagined the cat would get to visit so many places. Preview of my animated Pilot Mechanic Artwork showcasing one scene

Mechanic Artwork is a stop-motion steampunk series with elements of 2D and 3D animation. The Lobroach scene showcases the coast of Central Island, Gearman's City - the show's main setting, its locals and the native sealife. The lobroach is a mutated lobster-like being birthed from red chemicals in the air which alter most flora and fauna. This is a mainly worldbuilding focused scene, where we take a short break to catch a glimpse of the island before going deeper into its city, events, conflicts and people behind them all... Show Premise:The show is about human nature, war and never-ending conflict present in our day to day lives, highlighted through altered events of its original universe. After the events of The Great Chemical War turned the skies red, introducing a never seen before otherworldly element to an already alienated by conflict surviving human population, an oasis arises in the name of Central Island. In its core, however, wounds of the past remain to swell, infecting the island throughout. The infection of ideology and division, human greed and hunger for power, as well as pure hatred toward it all, boiling within the blood of the Island’s citizens. The government of Central Island – Hometown, and the rebels – Liberta Clan, now at constant war for who gets to enact and define the laws amidst desperate post-apocalyptic times. A detective, thrown into the fire of all the conflict to solve a seemingly unimportant case, spiralling into madness discovering its true purpose. A complex story intertwining the many factions and characters awaits your judgement.Welcome, dear viewer, to the world of Mechanic Artwork! ANY SUPPORT FOR THE SHOW IS ENCOURAGED AND WELCOMED! A short film about a captain who underestimates a monster. An animation exercise

Few parts of the animation were surprisingly challenging. The ocean movement and waves were fun to animate, but the boat shots required a bit more thought. Since the boat is drawn in 2D and not a real 3D object, rotating and changing angles had to be done manually to keep the illusion working. For example, when the boat tilts and the camera angle changes, I had to adjust the drawing so it feels like the boat is turning in space, even though it's really just a flat drawing. The top-down shot of the boat was also tricky. As the camera pulls away, the captain had to look upward toward the viewer, and the cabin needed a slight backward tilt. In the real world you would naturally see a bit more of the top surfaces when the camera moves farther away, so I had to fake that perspective shift in 2D. Interestingly, the sea monster itself wasn't the hardest part. The most challenging bit was actually the water splash when the monster emerges from the ocean. Getting the motion of the water to feel energetic and believable took a lot more tweaking than I expected.Everything in this animation was created using Arttista, a 2D illustration and animation tool that I built myself. I've been using projects like this to experiment with different animation workflows and features while developing it. Everything in this animation was created using Arttista, a 2D illustration and animation tool that I built myself. Arttista is proudly available on Steam and the Microsoft Store.I divide my life between working about 9 hours a day at a TV software company, developing Arttista in my spare time, taking care of three kids, two cats, and consuming a questionable amount of Red Bull.

An SFM recreation of that JayDaddy video with audio by Alex the Doggo

EXTREME GORE WARNING! An SFM recreation of that JayDaddy video with the audio by Alex the Doggo and a little something extra The amount of custom models in this is insane. I ported all Postal 4 assets seen, even The Dude, as the current version is different than the Gmod model. This has been done with the personal blessing of Running With Scissors. Some easter eggs:<ul><li>The dude is smoking crack when Art enters.</li><li>The Rocket Launcher is running DOOM in reference to an easter egg in Rage</li></ul><img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/508/iu_1508323_7642109.webp" alt="iu_1508323_7642109.webp" data-smart-scale="764,430"><ul><li>The Rocket Launcher also has The Gandalf head bob gif loop</li><li>The Chainsaw scene is based off the climax of Evil Dead 2013</li></ul><img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/508/iu_1508321_7642109.webp" alt="iu_1508321_7642109.webp" data-smart-scale="764,430"><img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/508/iu_1508322_7642109.webp" alt="iu_1508322_7642109.webp" data-smart-scale="764,314"><ul><li>When Dude shoots Freddy, it's based off the climax of Ghost Rider when he shoots the gun at Legion, but it's too short to tell that</li></ul><img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/508/iu_1508319_7642109.webp" alt="iu_1508319_7642109.webp" data-smart-scale="764,430"><img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/508/iu_1508320_7642109.webp" alt="iu_1508320_7642109.webp" data-smart-scale="500,250">This is what I consider my Magnum Opus currently because I feel proud for managing to make the trash bag move like a trash bag does, especially when Art is trying to rip out of it. This was done purely through experimentation and guesswork using flexes and custom bones on the Left 4 Dead trash bag model, and I am extremely happy that it turned out as something very comfortable and easy (for the most part) to animate with no issues in the final product. Art ACTUALLY rips out of the bag, the bag shakes around like he's inside of it, and the hole actually expands as he rips out. Also, despite all of that, the hardest part to animate was "Gucky"<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/508/iu_1508325_7642109.webp" alt="iu_1508325_7642109.webp" data-smart-scale="764,430">Not because of the mask, or the rig of the model, but because of how precise the movement had to be to look convincing. I spent two weeks on it alone out of the 30 days I spent animating this. The perk of being an autistic unemployed fuck (thanks for the genes, mom!) (no, seriously. Diagnosed in 2005, baby!) is that you have all day to do nothing but animate. I even kept experimenting with re-rigging the bones on the coat to make them move more realistically, but it didn't turn out how I wanted.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/508/iu_1508327_7642109.webp" alt="iu_1508327_7642109.webp" data-smart-scale="764,430">Notice how GUCKY is in an awkward pose. I wanted him on a better pose, but the rotation looked very unsmooth when I did so and this segways into the next frame better. Also notice the coat's strange dome-like shape. I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Hopefully Postal 4 one day adds physics itself and re-optimizes the model to have it. The model "supports" it "for a future update" that was teased years ago - this pretty much means that its legs and the coat are separate. However, the shirt and coat are fused, so I can't get it as loose as I want, so I've decided to add a belt to future edits, although my last belt edit is totally gone due to a hard drive crash on my secondary workstation. <img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/508/iu_1508328_7642109.webp" alt="iu_1508328_7642109.webp" data-smart-scale="764,430">Dude has re-kindled his inner child and loves playing with toys again. The lore I came up with is that Chucky's spirit was transferred into a mask of his own face, and then Chucky put it on and Gary took over his body. Gary can only rest when he kills his killer. Being that this is Postal, the timeline diverges from ours, but nobody in Postal stays dead, either due to psychosis or something from the local military bases, maybe even both. I just know that it smells like shoe polish all the time in this fucking shithole of a city. <img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/508/iu_1508329_7642109.webp" alt="iu_1508329_7642109.webp" data-smart-scale="764,430">SO LONG AND GOODNIGHT! Music used: BFG division I'd also like to thank my Autism for making my special interest Postal instead of something cool like trains, computers (it is one, but not THE one), or Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for the Playstation 2. Hey, remember that random fusion I said I was going to model? I finally got around to finishing it. The fused animals in question: xiphactinus (ancient fish), podenco canario (dog, which I admittedly didn’t use much of), and a long winged kite spider. The model is also viewable on my Sketchfab page:<a href="https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/kite-winged-xiphenco-c0dad8cbf0bf43d8b384479214d640f9" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/kite-winged-xiphenco-c0dad8cbf0bf43d8b384479214d640f9</a> Sculpted in ZBrushRetopo and unwrap in 3D CoatPainted in Substance Painter.
