For people who aren't OG fans of my flipnotes, Project Star Syrup (or PSS) is the second season to a series I made called Make More, a story about doing what makes you happy without turning the hobby into a chore. I've decided to advance the story further by showing more examples of things that can make the hobby lose its spark, yet still keeping the silly undertones of my short flipnote skits. I can't access the original Make More episodes due to personal problems, but I hope that PSS will reach the right audience! (P.S: I made this when I had a huge stomach ache. It hurt like crazy, but I still kept animating!)

Project Star Syrup: Meet the Algorithm!

Sorry for taking too long. I had less time this month to work on my project and damn...I also did not know that giving my characters clothes would make the process twice more difficult than normally. Seriously I had to do double the work while animating cause of the the sage outfit of my character. Now hoepfully you are satisfied now. I put more effort on the details than just making another long fight.

Algorithm Downfall 2

Watch Staci and Roni as they open their new Rat based Cafe. Life can be hard when you're doing customer service and the city’s most affluent food critic arrives on the first day. We can only hope they will weather the storm. It may not look like it but this cartoon took a very long time to make, longer than I’d like to admit. I kept chipping away at it off and on because, as odd as this cartoon is, it’s really important to me. When I started this cartoon with my good friend PsychedelicSamurai I wanted to make a cartoon that could only come from me and him. It's full of inside jokes, special interests, and rats. I love rats a lot. If you enjoy the cartoon, I would really appreciate anything you can do to help other people see it. Today I see a lot of people discouraged to create because of our technological climate and algorithm driven ecosystem. I want to take this opportunity to encourage other people to never give up on their own projects. It feels so good to release this cartoon, my only regret is that I couldn’t have shared it with you sooner. My life looks entirely different than it did when I started this cartoon and I’m really excited for what my next work will be as the artist I am today.

One Dollar And A nice Review

This is better than doing long movies and spending too much energy. If i get floped then its ok, if not than its also ok. No reason to get depressed or feel that I wasted energy. Just took me 12 to 14 hours for this, so getting floped doesnt hurt so much than the last time

A strange spacecraft appears in Earth's sky, followed by an invasion of alien weapons

A strange spacecraft appears in Earth's sky, followed by an attack on the surface by tripedal weapons. Places around the world are threatened by this invasion... What will happen to Nico and his friends in Geraldville? THIS ANIMATION IS PART OF THE MANIPULATOR SAGA - It is supposed to be entertaining/appealing for normal people without knowledge of the manipulators but it is still designed to be watched after the other animations in the manipulator saga such as Origin and The Second Manipulator and the end of the mantipldators The next part will take place entirely in space - this contains all of the moments on earth. In the next part, the being behind this attack and his motivations will be revealed. There will probably be 3 total parts, as well as a fourth, "epilogue part" if needed. I don't know if I will keep just this part on newgrounds after the final version of Alien Invasion is done. On youtube what I usually do for longer animations is post all of the individual parts as they are made, and then once the final version is complete I delete them and keep only the final version - However, on youtube typically the final version gets more views than all of the parts combined, while in newgrounds each animation gets at least 70-80 views and there is less variation because of the different algorithm. Maybe I'll keep these for a bit after the final version and then decide Music: Pizza tower OST - Thousand March

An animatic fan cast from Invincible Fight Girl

Saw a twitter thread centering on voice actors people would love to see play Sonic The Hedgehog, and I thought of a year 1/2 back. I was watching this Cartoon Network show, Invincible Fight Girl, which by the way, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NBvqLOlVHM" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">super underrated</a>. There was a supporting character who sounded like Jaleel White's Sonic. And with the character's personality, he really did fit as the character.Making this animatic was fun, but it also revealed how crap my workflow is. I expected to be done in 2 hours, not 4 days. I learned a lot of shortcuts by brute forcing my way through this. But it was a relief I was making something for fun &amp; not for the algorithm

Tim Johnson Jr As Sonic

I made this with Instagram in mind, but it flopped there.Based on a true story, for 2 weeks all I've been seeing on reels is just Sopranos clips.

The Great Dragazzo analyzes your feed algorithm

I think might be doing this once a month only, cause it takes so much time and sleep... For the last weeks I have been animating nonstop, cause I thought if i posted consistently, the algorithm would likely do its job right, but not. Gonna take my time from now on and work on my pace. I have seen a lot of talented and PROFESSIONAL animators suffer for the same reason, so I dont need to stress myself out.

NOTE: I do think Newgrounds defies a lot of the problems I talk about in this video, which is fantastic. No algorithm, no shorts feeds, nobody optimizing their crap for retention. Viva la Newgrounds!!!!!!!! "Content" seems to be created for one reason these days. At least, a lot of it does. I just wanted to complain a bit about it, because I fear what is happening to our brains after eating all these content burgers. I eat 'em too. I fear for myself. Ultimately, I'd just like to see the meta shift to videos with heart and soul as opposed to the stuff that's designed to be eaten like fast food. It's wishful thinking, but a therapeutic rant either way. <a href="https://zanelittle.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://zanelittle.com</a>

The Content Situation is Crazy

An epic drama of adventure and exploration

#animationvideo #sourcefilmmaker #sfm #StanleyKubrick #movies This short film presents a stunning cosmic wonder, showcasing a dramatic planet alignment within our solar system. Inspired by the classic film "2001: A Space Odyssey" and its creator Kubrick, the sequence highlights the beauty and mystery of space. It's a visual journey that captures the essence of celestial movements. There are references to many movies, series, games, characters, even youtubers and videos in the video, so don't forget to look carefully. and this is the 2nd last part. Part 1 is having fun with gregory and roxy (coming soon) The video production took 3 months. By separating it with 40 sfm sessions and then exporting it, it totaled 108GB including 38 cut videos and sounds. First of all, I would like to explain as a long text.Firstly, our Youtube channel mostly grew with GaFF (gregory and friends fun) series, but I, as a famous youtuber's dream, wanted to make all kinds of different videos, but this is difficult because of youtube's algorithm. The phrase "you reap what you sow" is a good term for YT channel. If a video has grown, you should continue with that video, especially since it is the most suitable site to earn money from each video, I paid attention to copyright. My mother insisted that I make long videos that were liked on this subject, and I decided to make this video by combining all of these things. I came up with the movie Puss in boots 2 and was inspired by many youtubers (e.g. pootis engage and others). When I first made it, I thought it would be quick and easy, but when I tried to make it to the end, I had no idea how long this video idea would take. It was the longest animation video I made on my Youtube channel, even in my life. It may sound exaggerated, but I started this video on February 7th and finished it in 3MONTH (90 days). actually it took about 81 days, not counting the 1 week wait, when I tried to make the video until the end, I started to lose my mind because it took a long time, and I had many incredible disasters, crises, even I went so crazy that I was going to break the computer, Or I would throw myself out the window. All my means were not enough to make this video, but I still tried all my efforts and did not give up. I didn't give up and finally got it done.Normally, I would make models for reference from more places, but I forgot to do some of them and I didn't want to tire myself too much, I'm already tired. normally I wanted to cut the movements with pootis engaged style and I was going to do the smear effect, but I thought that the cut movements would decrease the realism a little bit, and the smear effect is constantly breaking the model with every movement, so I wanted to use montion blur instead. I asked everyone for help on many Discord servers, they helped a little, albeit a little. I couldn't do it because I didn't have the capacity and time to make a model and I could have asked someone else to have isn't done, but unfortunately I didn't have the money to pay for it, so I made it on my own. I didn't make this video for money, I made it to become a famous youtuber. After these things, it doesn't matter to me how much it will be watched or who will like it and find it positive (already, thanks to youtube, such videos are recommended). What I want from you, I want you to recognize and appreciate the hours and efforts I spent on making this video, in short, I want you to be respected. thanks for listening

RODENT EXECUTION- ORIGINAL SHORT FILM

Welcome, all who venture here!So much time has passed ever since I uploaded my first animation ever (that one pixel animation from ages past). But now that I have reconsidered animating again, I have finally chosen to pursue it seriously. To those who are out of the loop, nearly two weeks ago, I wrote a very lengthy letter ("A Note To Self") congratulating one of my animator friends on reaching a new subscriber milestone. I was really at a low point both physically and mentally, all because I couldn't stop comparing myself to others, and I couldn't simply forgive myself for so many misdeeds I had committed before. So many missed projects, so many ideas wasted simply because I "weren't in the mood". But with what I had done for the entirety of last week, I can now bid farewell to all that negativity, and leave the past where it belongs. This Miniature compilation is the first one, a milestone in a long and winding path. All the way back in late January, I had my first chance to animate after so long. Stuck in a room, with my little sibling, I grabbed a stylus, turned on my phone, and started this journey. Thank goodness it was nighttime, and even though the lunar new year fireworks were certainly loud, our room was silent enough not to wake him up. If only I could keep up that pace and animate some more...Fast forward two months. I woke up to a commotion. Thousands of voices, all around a very familiar face. A man with white hair and beard was in the center of it. He was a director in his studio, whose animations made our childhood. I could never forget him, even after years had passed since the last time I watched his films. And yet, he was at the center of this giant controversy. Curious, I looked up, and realized that he was at the mercy of an utterly deplorable enemy of creativity. All of his works, once taking years to create, now could be "generated" at the click of a button. And the world could only watch, as thousands of pictures, artworks, films... soon were "remade" in his style. However, the world did not simply watch. Creators everywhere soon condemned this bastardization and commodification of creativity. Some even took things into their own hands and drew their own work, taking honest inspirations from him, with honest effort. Seeing this giant battle unfold before my eyes, a passion, long sealed inside the deep and dark corners of my mind, was suddenly rekindled. This time, I sit before my tablet, free of all distractions. I wanted to tell them, those who brazenly stood against the "tide of change", that I wanted to contribute, even if my contributions are small and unseen. And before I knew it, a week had passed, and I had done things that I could never have expected before. My mind harked back to that very lengthy letter I wrote. That letter... perhaps was the universe's calling for me to rise up from darkness, and fight for what I had once lost. So, to whatever force that allowed me to compose that letter, thank you. You had allowed me to finally realize myself for what I truly am, and cast asunder all those delusions that once defined "my life". Moreover, I am also grateful for every creator - every composer, animator, artist... whose work I had referenced and used in my creations, for they are the living proof that creation is an irreplaceable means of self-expression, that no algorithm or machine can ever "generate".I hope you enjoy this animation compilation of mine. There may be mistakes, and shortcomings that I will have to address in the future, but what is certain is that this is an honest effort that I offer to you. Thank you for supporting me, and for showing me a greater way of life.I may not be famous, but I would rather be honest. Let us preserve this honesty, now and forever.

Dr. Dipshits Loser Lobotomy - Pitch Pilot

Hey yall, I don’t usually like to be completely transparent when it comes to online stuff but I feel like I needed to discuss it. I know from other posts (especially the one before this) it’s been extremely vague and positive just for the sake of news on me, which all of it is true don’t get me wrong lol but I feel like I haven’t been able to gather all of my thoughts correctly for the past 2 months. I’ve been really struggling to say the least, in terms of myself and my goal as a person. The last 2 months were definitely the catalyst for all of that, it really put a test on me about what I am and what I do for not only people, but for myself. Especially my friends, it’s been an honor and a treat to see them reach new heights and work relating to big studios/creators, I don’t want to say I was jealous lol but it definitely got to me in a way that wasn’t healthy for both my mental state and art. It made myself feel like I needed to catch up with my friends in order to be great and to feel equal, trying to be as smart and sophisticated as them. Least to say it made me rush everything I do and think that “I can do that with my arm tied behind my back”, when really I’ve been falling over every few seconds lol. Again, a lot of this came to now where I really needed to ask myself “why am I doing this?” and to be completely honest, I don’t know. It still really perplexes me, but I feel like this is the perfect time to take a step back and focus on what ‘I’ want to rather than to please the algorithm or feed into my fear of being left behind. And before anything, I wanna apologize to the people whom I have affected in a way that either made them feel uncomfortable around me or trying to steal attention from them. I’ve never wanted to harm anyone and I’m truly sorry if it affected anyone that way. All I can do now is what I can, and what I’m gonna do is strive to be my best at myself, and I promise I’m gonna deliver when I want to and I promise I’ll do better. Thank you. &lt;3

The Next Step.

Support me <a href="http://www.patreon.com/wafellmaker" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">www.patreon.com/wafellmaker</a> Well here we are; The STPPM finale. I had so so so much fun with this project. I'm Genuinely so happy with how the finale turned out. I will leave below another little diary entry about this episode. I understand my pipeline - release infrequency does not please the YouTube algorithm, and I know of strategies I could employ to better my odds. (making smaller, easier projects, animating trending topics, etc) I believe while these strategies would better my chances of getting my art out there, they would make me disappointed in myself as an artist. I've made the conscious decision to take the hard route to make me happy with what I'm doing, even if my work is less publicly 'successful.' Despite knowing all of this, it is still extremely disheartening to spend months and months on an episode, only to release it and see it gain zero traction. So disheartening that it actually had me seriously consider giving up on Super Turbo Power Punch MAXED after episode 2. I am so glad I didn't. I am so glad I finished this series. I believe it to be something truly special to me. But before I get ahead of myself, lets talk about episode 5. This chat may leak into topics across the whole series, as at the time of writing this I just watched the series as a whole, and feelings towards STPPM as a whole certainly are flowing. Kal's redesign was planned in the script. But I didn't actually have a plan for what I wanted him to look like when he became the Keeper of Radness. I waited until I got to Damian's death before modeling Kal. I really like Kals new design. The black belt caused me some headache, but I think the result was worth it. I really like a lot of the dialog between Kal and Korloc in this episode. It's a lot of high inspired confrontational silliness. Stuff I like to imagine Kal picked up across all of his movie watching both in the vision realm and over the course of his childhood. I watched a lot of Kung-fu movies as a child. Which of course was accompanied with all kinds of action movies of all way shapes and forms. Basically everything Jet Li, Fearless, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The One, The Protector, Ong Bak, Matrix,. I could go on and on. Martial arts always attracted my interest as I am a huge action fan. My family means a great deal to me, and while I have always and continue to connect with different members of my family over different things, I spent a great portion of time watching these films with my Dad. My Dad was hugely involved in my childhood and is unquestionably the culprit in injecting an appreciation for kung fu movies into my life. (Hey what do you know, The effect you have on others, eh?) Anyways, kung fu movies hold a special place in my heart, and I thank my dad for that. The shot towards the end of Episode 4 of Kal and Damian watching Kung fu movies in the vision realm reminds me of those days with my dad. huddled in front of the family TV rewinding the VHS to watch the cool fight scene once more. A lot of Kal's kung fu is just him waving his hands around. As though all he did was perceive kung fu fights through TV rather than being trained seriously. Because that's exactly what he did. There was a time when I was a kid I used to think I could be a master just by watching TV. But after just 10 minutes of jumping around doing kung fu in the backyard, it was always easier to just go inside to watch more kung fu and daydream, much like my fellow enthusiast Kal. Kal takes his 'training' much more seriously than I ever did. But the inspiration for his character was a hyper-dramatic version of my younger self. A caricature of the 'I watch kung fu movies I know what im doing' type. The fact we did not see the lessons Kal learned in the movies directly was perhaps a strange choice for the story. It was however a conscious decision for the overall message and theme. We learn from the influences around us. Of those influences, it's our jobs as people to filter and deduce what is worth passing on to others, and what we can let go of. With this in mind, it doesn't matter what specific influences did what to Kal directly. Kal made the decision that of everything he's learned,. Being Rad is whats worth passing on. I feel I could talk all day about the nitty gritty but a lot of it is pretty self-explanatory as to what I was going for, so I leave it to you! I started writing a script for my next project back in August of 2024. I plan to start working on my new project very soon. But fear not, Another action packed story is coming. Thanks again everyone for your patience, and your loving support through my journey. I love you all dearly. How Your Algorithm Works

My second animated project that originally played along side my review for Avatar (2024). Had such a good time working on this video. I had paid concept artists AND a voice actor, VA credited below

Algorithm - The Messenger

While exploring an abandon ship, Zenny bumps into his first dangerous encounter

This was my first ever attempt at 3d animated segments for my Video game video essays. for years my YouTube videos had teased a story, but THIS was when I truly dived deep into the creative process. I had a lot of fun with it, and I look back and see ALOT of mistakes, but regardless i am very fond of these animations.

Algorithm - The First Encounter

Thinking a lot lately about how all the social media platforms we used to know and love have decayed into brutal hellscapes of algorithms, bots, AI art and ads.

Who wants a second serving of MK Mishaps XXL?The "Aftermath+1" in the title is an intentional jab at the current sequels and DLC updates. Here are 10 more sketches that I have been working on for the past year and a half on my YouTube channel. Some of these were creative "out of the box" original ideas playing around with MK lore while others are based on social satire. I understand if Sprite movies aren't your thing, but the MK Mishaps have developed a cult following over the years and I chose to revive the concept. I've been hard at work with these sketches. Some scenes have a "Take 2" approach since I did dive into an alternate version of the previous gags. both takes were too good to pass up that I ended up including them in scenes as a bonus. I know some of my sketches are very meme-centric, but even Netherrealm Studios is guilty of that too. (Epic Sax Guy/ Epic Jax Guy) The Kitana Image is courtesy of <a href="https://www.deviantart.com/flowerxl/art/Kitana-782439022" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">FlowerXL on DeviantArt.</a> I'd rather reference an original work than depend on AI art for a scene. For the Amnesia bit, I used some clever chroma keying from <a href="https://youtu.be/dtKEW7ivAsM?si=HbwYkckY5Sxh9-up" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">a video by Skootroot on YouTube</a> that had some of the Grunt animations from the game. I made it just to piss off the Youtube Algorithm that kept ignoring my videos last October. The Raiden bit based on Kidd Thunder was loosely inspired by my nephews' antics as well as my own childhood antics. Being the youngest of 3, I was a bit of a troublemaker. lol. Though mostly animated in Adobe Flash CS6, Some gags required a bit of post-production effects through Sony Vegas Pro 11 and additional audio editing through Audacity.I know there are better tools out there, but I am fine with what I use at the moment. I'll consider a third installment once I have enough ideas for it.Hope you enjoy!
