This is obv the start of season 3. This a couple years after 2023, (early 2025) and it marked the start of what I would call Modern smear. The writing, animation, composition, audio design, (Season 3 is when the Smear OST is first used) etc. received a huge step up and overall I believe this is where smear developed a spine, as I also used a consistant writing structure and things like that.I never left the 3ds until Smear had its last episode (few months ago- June 26th)And as you know, episodes are far longer! Minus S3E2, so that one will be here in a few days. Season 3 episodes will release every friday after S3E2!

The first compilation of Cy and Rue animations!

The first compilation of Cy and Rue animations! (I made this for the 2 year anniversary but forgot to upload it here, whoops!) Thank you so much for the support you've shown the ladies over the years, I hope to make enough to have many more compilations like this in the future! Massive thank you to everyone who's helped me along the way with these two, especially A M 4 N, illum, and soham for their incredible original compositions. Conquer the Foe To all those whose truth has been silenced or forgotten.— RKS _______FOREWORD:Conquer the Foe is Roadkill Studios first ever short film. It is a hand-drawn anti-incidentalist film which pays homage to classic point-and-click Flash game culture. The film began development in March 2025, and was composed, illustrated, edited, written, and published by one amateur artist. All music and artwork was created by me, although some characters and visual elements are deliberate homages to, adaptations of, or parodies of works that influenced the film. At the centre of the film is the film theory principle of anti-incidentalism. The notion that every visible character in a film must have a defined history and identity, irrespective of whether that history is immediately apparent to the viewer. The film is therefore intended to be experienced not merely as a graphic chase scene, but as insight into fragments of a larger world beyond what the viewer sees on screen. The need for a film like this is to fulfil the duty of laying the groundwork for a comprehensive anti-incidentalist narrative long term. In some respect, the "art" of anti-incidentalism is to attempt to prepare for questions that will be asked in the future. The film was created both as an exploration of this principle and as a personal homage to the visual and artistic style of 2010s Flash games. Conquer the Foe is the first major release under Roadkill Studios, and it represents the start of a wider body of work that the studio will continue to develop over time. _______ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:Hundreds of hours were dedicated to the completion of this short film. Although entirely created by one individual, we must thank the developers whose artistic influences enabled this film to be made in the first place. We thank Chriss Martin, Yan Lepage, Mario Boutin, Jo Fortier and Josee Godbout for Desolation: The Stages of Anxiety. Their work on this project is noted for the prominent grim-minimalist art style and inspiration for many character designs in the film. Stage 1 was constructed as a tribute to Desolation.Credit: https://www.kongregate.com/en/games/webcypher?page=7 We thank Hyptosis for The Sagittarian and for his excellent hand-drawn style, which inspired the horde/chase elements of the film and several character designs, particularly in Stage 2.Credit: https://hyptosis.newgrounds.com/ We thank Mateusz Skutnik for Submachine, and for over 20 years of consistent artistic output and contribution to the point-and-click genre, the influence of which cannot go unnoticed for this film.Credit: https://www.mateuszskutnik.com/ We thank Patrick Majewski for Monster Basement and its sequel. We also thank Patrick Majewski for permission to include The Mud Vile from Monster Basement as part of this film.Credit: https://godlimations.newgrounds.com/ We thank Igor Stravinsky for The Rite of Spring. A composition that completely redefined modern music and paved the way for many of the film soundtracks released in the last century. From the creator:To my mentors from the conservatory — whose names have been omitted for privacy — I thank you for your knowledge and expertise in which you shared with great generosity. The role of mentor should not be undervalued, for the role they play in forming a trainee's professional (and sometimes personal) life can be profound. Their contributions both directly and indirectly have helped shape the vision of this film and will define all future Roadkill Studios productions. I remain indebted to them for their dedication, patience, and time they commit to providing guidance and mentorship. _______Stage Descriptions:

Prelude - The point in time before any disturbance. The prelude is the calm before the storm.

Stage 1 - The first stage is the experience of a sudden distressing event; this stage is the realisation that something has gone horribly wrong as panic sets in.

Stage 2 - This is the stage where panic is quickly replaced by a state of blunt, numbing dissociation.

Stage 3 - Stage three is where the density of consciousness reaches its breaking point. Sanity is erased following a flash of light, and the incomprehensible suddenly becomes known.

Stage 4 - Consciousness returns hours later; the embers of the previous stages continue to burn as comprehension slowly reconsolidates. Episodes of delirium continue, with flashes of mnemonic rupture followed by further disorientation. The acute event is over but effects fluctuate over several hours.

Support Roadkill Studios on Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/roadkillstudiosofficial NOTICE: This film contains disturbing, graphic, and mature material. A song about FNaF SL that was written and animated by me.

(I put *some* violence in the rating. The worst it gets is cartoon intestines splatting on the floor.)This video is also available on YouTube, and the song on Sound Cloud. The whole project took me like 3 years, most of which was the frame by frame animation. I only used Genesis and SNES instruments in the composition, apart from one sampled bell that I ripped from an episode of G1 MLP. All of the voices are also me. (Yeah I'm not vocally trained in the slightest lol.) The final audio mix was around late 2024, early 2025. I know a lot more about mixing now.I am a big fan of blast processed music, video game cartoons, and obviously Fnaf, so this is like the most me thing to make. Hope you like. :]

After over a month without a TrouserToons episode, here's a new one! This episode also features David's cuckoo clock bird, Luco! Like "The Do-Gooders", this episode is also based on a super old concept I came up with in 2023. And I actually wrote a plot outline for it that time. However, that version was actually a lot more ambitious than this one as it involved the clock traveling all across the city, among other things. It also didn't feature Luco at all, funnily enough. But for this episode, I ended up simplifying the plot by quite a bit so it doesn't become a nightmare for me to animate. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the finished episode! Fuzz Girl - Trapped In A Dream (Animated Music Video)

What is a rock? Well, that is a hard question to answer that is overlooked because of how sedentary everyday discussions tend to get. We should strive as a species to move away from the sedentary and delve into the sedimentary, even if it's initially elementary. The answer is usually just a stone's throw away, but then again, so is rock bottom. It takes a bolder person to really understand what a rock is. People might answer with such primitive descriptions on what a rock is, usually classifying it as: "In geology, a rock (also called a stone) is any naturally occurring solid mass or aggregate of minerals or mineraloid matter. It is categorized by the minerals included, its chemical composition, and the way in which it is formed. Rocks form the Earth's outer solid layer, the crust, and most of its interior, except for the liquid outer core and pockets of magma in the asthenosphere. The study of rocks involves multiple subdisciplines of geology, including petrology and mineralogy. It may be limited to rocks found on Earth, or it may include planetary geology that studies the rocks of other celestial objects." This is simply only a fragment of what a rock truly is, and the truth will ground anyone. All of these words are just a nugget of wisdom, but a lot of value can be held within just a single nugget in a coal mine. Sometimes, the canary is nowhere to be found, and the only gold in sight is the one you carry with you, so please use it wisely.

Unexpected Murderers on the Harpy Express - Minecraft Animation

hello again all! this one's actually an archival, posted around a year ago, but I think it's one of the best stuff I've ever done haha. it's the last MV for my 2nd album, "seeyalater stratocaster" which came out 3 years ago. time really flies huh!!! I've always had the idea to make an MV that put 2D characters in a 3D world, something like CN City back in the 2000s, or early Gorillaz stuff haha. but because I am just one small bean, I ended up letting the 3D scenes dominate the composition, and only drew for a few scenes haha. drawing is tough!!! much tougher than composing 3D scenes with premade assets, I can say for myself. but I still had stupid fun in the process, and seeing everything come together was a major make-brain-and-eyes-happy-moment. this song's also the last track in the album, and I really wanted to make it feel as such - real bittersweet and stuff haha. people tell me they've cried to it, mission accomplished yay! in the end, it's a project I think I'll look back fondly on forever. :"^) and hopefully y'alls over here would like it too! hehe. enjoy!!! song and visuals by ippo.tsk (me!)https://bsky.app/profile/ippotsk.bsky.socialhttps://www.ippotsk.comget the song:on bandcampon ampwall lyrics: All of the thingsWe hold so dearLet's keep them closeFor as long as we stayBefore my mind forgets itAnd before my heart regretsLet me put some words and notesTogether as you sleepI'll join you in a bitAnd yet the town movesEver so slowAs if one's in spaceThis world can still beSo beautifulI wish I had just beenA little bit smarterBut before it comes (before it comes)The day when I'm out of range (I'm out of range)Though I fear, I still walk aheadSo thank you for all the colorsYou've breathed into this lifeDid you get some decent rest? The weather's been not so friendlyBetter days will surely come bySooner or laterBut did you worry about me?Might have been a fool, but frankly"Better" ways don't always work forSomeone like meAgain the town movesEver so slowAs if one's in spaceThis world can still beSo beautifulI wish I had just beenA little bit braverBut before it comes (before it comes)The day when I'm out of range (I'm out of range)Though I fear, I still walk aheadSo thank you for all the colorsYou've breathed into this lifeSee you some other timeBut before it comes (before it comes)The day when I'm out of range (I'm out of range)I still have to say my duesSo thank you for all the colorsYou've breathed into my lifelet's meet again somehow

Crazy Compositions: Treasured Absurdity

A simple animation I've finished this month

Fun fact: This animation was originally started back in September 2024, while studying animations; I only left the rough animatic for a good while. But after several months, I've decided to make the cleanup and do the rest of the work to finish it today! The animation contains five animation principles, which is Appealing, Slow In and Out, Anticipation, Timing and Secondary Action.I used Firealpaca and Krita for the animation, and After Effects for the composition/VFX. Also this loop does not contain audio. @Waterflame is literally the best musician of all time! (And I'm still a big fan of him)I don't have anything else to say so... Hope you like it! ;)

Made this today and i thought it was pretty funny

This took me about 3-4 hours, The animation itself was not that hard but the editing took some time and as well as the music composition. I'll most likely be using that song for my outros from now on, or versions of it.

Sylvester & S. Whitfield, René Magritte, Catalogue raisonné, vol. II, Oil paintings and objects, 1931-1948, Antwerp, 1993, p. 387). Shéhérazade appears to have been painted in May 1947 and is considered to be one of the earliest pictures to feature one of René Magritte's iconic motifs, the pearl woman. This picture shows the woman, whose mouth and eyes are shown as islands of flesh surrounded by a mysterious framework of strings of pearls, against a backdrop of a sky hewn out of monumental arches of blue. Next to her on the tabletop are two tall pyramids, a glass of water and a thick, claret-coloured curtain. This manages both to invoke the tradition of the Old Masters of Magritte's native Belgium and also to create an intimacy, a domesticity, a normality, lulling the viewer into a false sense of security that is prised apart by the mirage-like vision of the woman who so bracingly stares out from the canvas like some Orientalist incarnation of the Cheshire Cat. She is some form of apparition, perhaps conjured by the rituals of which the pyramids and water may be the paraphernalia. At the same time, she is the alluring and ornate hostess introducing the viewer to a world that has been rearranged in order to reveal its infinite wonder.

The Liberator, Rene Magritte (1947)

'The Liberator' presents a mysterious scene likely intended to provoke thought and curiosity. It depicts a figure seated against a surreal backdrop of floating architectural structures, with soft clouds embedded within. The figure, shrouded in a red cloak and adorned with a straw hat, lacks a discernible face; instead, there are symbolic images such as a key, a wine glass, a bird, and a pipe on a blank canvas where the torso should be. The enigmatic character holds a peculiar wand-like object topped with a bouquet of facial features and eyes. The figure’s attire and the walking stick it holds suggest a sense of journey or pilgrimage, while the suitcase placed by its side further emphasizes this theme. The overall composition resonates with Magritte’s distinctive style, blending reality with dreamlike elements to challenge perceptions and evoke deeper interpretations.

The Rights of Man, Rene Magritte (1947)

In 1948, while musing on the purpose of the titles he assigned to his paintings, René Magritte proclaimed: “I think the best title for a picture is a poetic one. In other words, a title consistent with the more or less lively emotion we feel when we look at the picture”. Across a series of handwritten manuscripts—now preserved in the Archives of Contemporary Art in Belgium and collectively known as “On Titles”— the artist offered a collection of short statements on some of his recent work. Among these brief notes, Magritte wrote about Les droits de l’homme: "Here, man is reminded of his right to act on objects and change the world"

The Annuntiation, Rene Magritte (1930)

The Annunciation brings together many of the themes, both iconographic and philosophical, that engaged Magritte during his stay in Paris from 1927 to 1930, a period in which he was closely associated with the French Surrealists. The painting shows an unlikely combination of objects. Two large bilboquets (Magritte's term for the objects in his works, which, though imaginary, recall wooden balustrades or chess-pieces) stand next to an oddly shaped piece of paper with a decorative cut-out pattern. Behind them looms a grey metal 'curtain', hung with sleigh bells. Despite its incongruity, this collection of objects seems disconcertingly 'at home' in the rock-strewn landscape beneath the grey clouds in the blue sky. The size of the painting (it is one of the largest the artist ever executed), together with its traditional composition and subtle allusions to paintings of Old Master like Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, and Caravaggio, are signs of the ambitiousness of the work.

This is a hydroform node, made for terraforming extraterrestrial planets, a planet is bombarded with ice and water meteors to then get heated up and form clouds, a hydroform node takes the formed clouds and converts them into liquid water while distilling and purifying it from other vaporized chemicals mixed in the air, then the prepared water gets pumped out to different places of the planet. The fish is a bioindicator organism, if the fish survives the water is biologically safe, colonists use these as environmental diagnostics. for the overall design I got inspired by Frutiger aero aesthetics, and solar punk concepts for the conceptualization. I thought the result is something you would find in terraria, so i composed the soundtrack a bit like terraria's making it a pixel art Frutiger aero-solar punk mix style. I wanted to get a liminal feeling, or nostalgic feeling, I'm not sure how i got it but i did, to get it i deliberately let some elements of the composition feel off or odd, as in liminal spaces, something that has to do with the lightning, the only thing that casts shadows on this scene are the suctioned clouds and they only cast shadows within themselves, the rest is composition, for example the shadow casted by the device is actually a transparent cube, the shadows casted on the grass by the unimplied clouds are shaders, nothing casts shadows because almost every object's material has emission turned on The process i like using blender for creating 2d like stuff, playing with shaders and programming animations with geometry nodes, so a rough quick sketch took me a few hours and i got this: Then i started conceptualizing and using my references. at first i wanted to make it look as an infinite water body rendered within the boundaries of a cube but it looked as normal water but i ignored that. i used geometry nodes and the shader editor for the water, noise texture for the displacement (using geonodes) and i animated a voronoid texture for the water texturing, The caustics are a voronoid texture on a plane, also seen over the fish. animating the text was easy, i wanted it to look like a converged human language from the future, i used a font called stray (i think this font is from that game also called stray, never played it). I animated it arranging different texts and glitched versions in a 2d image, then animated the texture coordinates of the plane what will have the text.the pipes are transporting water, thats all, it may look weird but it is just moving water. i used geometry nodes for that animation specifically using a waves texture for scaling the pipe across a spline curve.the grass is just 4d noise texture setting the position of each vertex overtime.i didnt know how to make it loop perfectly so i leaved it as so. made only with blender (except the text texture, it was made using Photopea)As for the music, i wanted it to sound nostalgic and chill, i tried to get as close as the visual feeling i had at that time making the scene, So i chose the Mixolydian scale becase of the bVII, and 9th chords, a slow pace rhythm and sounds akin to the style (lofi old school frutiger, chiptune) i produced it with FL studio The sound effects are some folley, others are sounds i found in the internet and some i did with synthesizers The blend file is all yours to explore! Some other arts i've done (mostly with blender) 3D geometry dash sphere spider animated by bboybeat on Newgrounds I also make music; some of these are like the one of this animation! bboybeat's Audio. I have a Fiverr gig for music composition, no orders yet, but it exists Compose unique and immersive video game music by Just_cristopher | Fiverr. hydroform node, a pixel art frutiger aero solar punk blender scene

Had a fun time animating this one! Trying to produce more shorter BUT WAY more high quality stuff! been learning a lot more about rigging and lighting compositions! :D

D.va SUCC anim loop!

Here’s my first animation reel of scenes I made from October 2024 to May 2025. I put this together a month ago for fun. Once I realized I’ve been content creating for a full YEAR, I thought this would be cool to share in celebration. The song doesn’t fit as well as the original one I used, but I think it’s a better composition overall. Animation & Music by: C. D. Frett

Animation Reel 2024-2025

if you had a kid, would you make them you?

hello!!! so a lot of really cool things happened; I got asked to write a song to feature on a Vocaloid/voice synth emo compilation, and now I've made a music video to go for it! ^ o^)9 this is my song "underneath the sun", track #6 on the "eingebrannt" compilation album!!!! come check it out, if you love singing robots and angsty rock music! hehe.https://tatsuyakitani.com/eingebrannt/ the song's about that feeling, of everything a child could say to those that brought them up, but still limits the things they can do, and the things they can be. it's something I've personally related to for a very long time, and I feel like I'm not the only one.this MV's a mix of a lot of things; B-roll travel footage, geometry, typography, character illustrations and silhouettes, 3D compositions; I feel like I can really do a lot of things with my options now hehe. I really wanted to go all-out with this. I hope you like it too! ^^ song and visuals by ippo.tsk (me!)https://bsky.app/profile/ippotsk.bsky.socialhttps://www.ippotsk.comget the song:https://ippotsk.bandcamp.com/album/underneath-the-sun-2https://ampwall.com/a/ippotsk/album/underneath-the-sun lyrics:verse:raw distance to mask the pain of the hearthow far do you wanna take this?far enough to match the way you gave up I'm ready for one more fake kisseasy to shelve, your hopes and your dreamsbut it's easier when you can shove them onto meso what's next? prechorus:don't be surprised that I'd rejectall the hands that kept me fed, upwithout asking, much less begI've spent too much, received too little if this ain't good enough, then I am as good as it will get'cause once I walk out of that door, you cannot use my name again chorus:underneath the sun, we mournreplay the tape until it fadesand your eyes grow sore'cause underneath the sun, we burnbut we are also free verse 2:"the time is up, you said you've amounted to some, how long must I keep you on the shelf?"long enough to make you proud, Oberonis this any way to treat myself?reasonable, never werebut I, too, have never learned"care can also be a curse" chorus 2: underneath the sunday morn' we play the part until we break, and it's all we knowbut underneath the sun, we burnyet we are all so free bridge:if you are someone with the meansand in no rush to be fedlet your children try their dreamsand acknowledge where they're headedbefore you say "not good enough"know that they're as good as you will get'cause even though you know best, you will never be them chorus 3:underneath the sun, we mournreplay the tape until it fadesand your eyes grow soreunderneath the sun, we burnbut we are also free remember, you are yours aloneto fly.

progression insurrection…somewhere in Nevada… | MADNESS DAY 2025

my most ambitious project yet… a tribute to one of my most favorite series out there.took me a whole year due to issues. rushed to get it out in time for MD2025, so there MAY be some errors. during the composition of this project, my art and skills improved; itll be apparent in the animation as it progresses. now that this is finally done, i can focus on other projects. hope ya enjoy. credits at the end MADNESS DAY 2025

"When the universe and the Great A'tuin appeared, Death had some...thoughs..."

So...for a class we did like a small experiment with a friend.Based on the second book and what happened with the idea of "Death having a Time clock", I always like the concept of Death wondering about the life and eternity of the turtle and his own.So yeah, this is a small "interpretation / imaginary" short about that concept. (Also, I know A'tuin is basically a full on Real turtle based on Hinduism beliefs, but I tried to give it a "Cosmic" feeling just for the short, based that is set on the start of the universe and probably, being a celestial god for some and it's mythos, it's composition could be made stars and cosmic dust) "So...flavoring? yeah, flavoring, pretty much" Based on the Discworld Novel, by "Sir Terry Prattchet"Music from: Yun Baek (YouTube Channel) You can follow us both here:My friend: Pyomulo / Me: R.A.K

A retro-futuristic 3D environment created over the course of 2+months as part of the 3D Environment Design course by ArtCraft School. This scene represents a crew lounge aboard a utilitarian space vessel — a gritty, analog-driven rest bay for tired engineers and maintenance bots. The design draws inspiration from 1970s sci-fi aesthetics, blending warm lighting, heavy materials, and dated tech: CRT monitors, reel-to-reel decks, modular panels, and soft cornered architecture. While some assets were taken from libraries, the composition, lighting, and modular kitbash were crafted in Blender, with Substance Painter for texturing and Unreal Engine 5 for real-time rendering.Core environment and layout based on a concept by Fabien Daubet - https://www.artstation.com/artwork/042xDw

Crew Lounge — Asteroid Mining Ship

i made this for Pico Day. always wanted to compete and now here's my chance. and huge thanks to CootieGirl for letting me have her cameo here. her getting attacked by the polar bear and the voice i gave her wasn't made to bully her or attack her. or anyone here. i promise. its all a joke. nobody's getting hurt here. its all good fun. the song used during the freeze frame of cootie getting attacked belongs to tyhond, and kevin macleod owns most of the shit i used here and imovie for one of them. i also added my original composition.

Pico Finds A Penny.

Next time I want to make the faces more expressive and focus on composition.

HOLY SHMOLLY!

Green Knight stand alone in Medusa's Lair

I made a Castle Crashers animation in 2025 since I was getting pretty excited about the new DLC that is dropping soon. It's wild that this game is getting a fresh coat of paint and a character maker. I'm particularly excited about the character maker since you get a lot of freedom to create whatever you want. You know I'll be attempting to make my favourite characters like Link and Midna, maybe a Dragon Ball. I also started this because of a contest that Behemoth made about the Green Knight. Not expecting to win, but it gave me a good deadline to hit. I wanted to draw something really short compared to my 50-second animatics. I'm pretty proud of what I was able to accomplish composition-wise. Still trying to strive to tell any form of story with what I have to work with. The music used is from Waterflame and the song is called -Glorious Thunderzone-, I remember playing a old flash game where you start as a caveman and battle someone across a 2D plane while slowly advancing technology. I just looked it up. The game was called Age of War.Originally I used Roundabout for the music but change it to post it on NewGrounds. Here's the other version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/7v_pz2rer4c?si=KBx7lfEkvmdJMmhH

Crazy Compositions: Technical Simplicities

For 2 years spent on the thesis project, i decided to release this animation.

It was fun and tired to make this alone.

Thank you to the advisors for the storyboards, timing and compositions.

Experimental motion graphics, animated versions of compositions from my MOTOMAG zine series. Did this one about a year ago, first of a series, I've much improved my workflow for this sorta thing since... Very interested in giving new life to imagery from the past, what that is and how that comes together. The music is from a game jam I worked on, had to produce a fake radio show for an office setting.

MOTOMAG Vol.1

Short 2D flash animation made for a College course

In this animation, an individual that goes by Esperanza is trying to get in contact with her Catholic faith by manifesting a church setting in her mind. The setting fades into black when the character feels anxious of loneliness. However, she was able to be eased with the presence with the Virgin Mary as she lets Esperanza know that God is with her. If this project was done again, it should be amended that the Virgin Mary isn’t meant to be an individual equal to God, but as an individual that we respect and communicate towards to aid in prayer. The animation is inspired by the unfinished work print The Thief and the Cobbler, for utilizing 2d animation to create 3d environments and include background pieces large in scale; evident to the first seconds of the animation. To achieve the 3d effect on the benches, I first drawn a vector drawing of it in one point perspective and select the points connected to the foreground side to which dragging distorts the perspective in illustrator. This vector test is then recreated in adobe animate by using shape tweens to change the bench’s perspective from the left to the right. To keep the animation from staying in place with its distortion, a classic tween can be used to bring the first frame to the left side of the composition and can move the animation towards the right side. Giving the illusion that a camera is following the character, for the benches to descend from the right to the left while retaining a one-point perspective. It isn’t accurately one-point, but it does give the illusion of three dimensionality in a 2D environment. The location is inspired by the "Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (Immaculate Conception-Five Holy Martyrs Parish)"
