It's been a long time since I've uploaded to newgrounds, and in that time I managed to work on my animation skills a fair bit. I have a long way to go but this isn't a bad start. I'm starting a habit of trying to get out an animation a month, so do expect more from me. If you wanna catch these animations early make sure to tune into The Today Show Tonight! My podcast, hosted by myself, and my friends featured in this animation on YouTube every other Friday. Any criticism is more than welcome, regardless I hope you all enjoy! Audio is from The Venture Bros, Season 4 Episode 1: "Blood of the Father, Heart of Steel"

90's themed TV set in an apocalyptic future...

Set in a future where the environment has been destroyed, what remains of the human race lives in domes, all ran and controlled by DOTCORP. DOTCORP covers everything from the water and air, to the law and entertainment inside these domes. This piece is a mock broadcast from ''DOTCORP TV'' - This channel broadcasts minimal content, and is mostly ads, interspersed with random cartoons and shows. It also contains the ''DOTCORP SHOPPING CHANNEL'', which is a version of shopping in this future, where people pay a subscription to this channel to 'experience' what it was like to shop before the domes. I wanted it to evoke the feeling of turning on Adult Swim or Toonami at 3am, lots of ads and cartoons that didn't make sense because you were half asleep, along with a lot of influence from the weather channel. It also draws heavily on nostalgia, being set in a fuzzy 90's VHS world, but I used this to contrast the warmth a lot of us feel when seeing these things, as it hides a lot of the shady things DOTCORP is up to. In this vein, I drew a lot of inspiration from Cave Johnson in Portal 2, and that kind of corporate satire, where you're not sure if it's a joke, or to be taken seriously. The memory eraser in particular was kind of influenced by this. This piece was made for my Master's Degree in 2025, and was displayed on a looping TV, along with an interactive arcade machine, as part of the final exhibition. ( I hope none of this comes off as pretentious I just wanted to share it with you guys :) p.s the little guy on the phone at 06:26 was animated with AI but that's ONLY because I didn't have time to do it myself for the deadline at the time :( p.s.p.s apologies to every artist ever for using AI :(

Preview of my animated Pilot Mechanic Artwork showcasing one scene

Mechanic Artwork is a stop-motion steampunk series with elements of 2D and 3D animation. The Lobroach scene showcases the coast of Central Island, Gearman's City - the show's main setting, its locals and the native sealife. The lobroach is a mutated lobster-like being birthed from red chemicals in the air which alter most flora and fauna. This is a mainly worldbuilding focused scene, where we take a short break to catch a glimpse of the island before going deeper into its city, events, conflicts and people behind them all... Show Premise:The show is about human nature, war and never-ending conflict present in our day to day lives, highlighted through altered events of its original universe. After the events of The Great Chemical War turned the skies red, introducing a never seen before otherworldly element to an already alienated by conflict surviving human population, an oasis arises in the name of Central Island. In its core, however, wounds of the past remain to swell, infecting the island throughout. The infection of ideology and division, human greed and hunger for power, as well as pure hatred toward it all, boiling within the blood of the Island’s citizens. The government of Central Island – Hometown, and the rebels – Liberta Clan, now at constant war for who gets to enact and define the laws amidst desperate post-apocalyptic times. A detective, thrown into the fire of all the conflict to solve a seemingly unimportant case, spiralling into madness discovering its true purpose. A complex story intertwining the many factions and characters awaits your judgement.Welcome, dear viewer, to the world of Mechanic Artwork! ANY SUPPORT FOR THE SHOW IS ENCOURAGED AND WELCOMED! MECHANIC ARTWORK: Stop-Motion Indie Animated Show "The Lobroach" Scene Preview (PILOT)

Are we victims of the system, or just comfortable cowards? My dystopian animation.

Hey everyone,I wanted to share my graduation short film, "Ghost in the Machine". It’s a dark, dystopian animation that dives into media manipulation, corporate greed, and the matrix of modern control. The Concept:The film uses a TV glitch aesthetic as a narrative device. In this world, a "glitch" isn't a technical mistake—it's a momentary fracture where the polished, corporate reality slips, exposing the raw, ugly machinery of global exploitation, manufactured crises, and mass pacification underneath. The Tech:I spent months bringing this to life using Blender's Grease Pencil. I wanted to create a raw, haunting look by mixing traditional 2D line art with 3D space and heavy glitch post-processing.A quick heads-up: The voiceover is in Hungarian, but I have embedded English subtitles directly into the video, so you won't miss any of the monologue. It ends on a pretty cynical note about collective guilt and societal apathy. I’m genuinely curious to hear what you guys think about both the visual style and the message. Is it too doomer, or is it just an accurate reflection of where we are heading?Drop your thoughts in the reviews!Created with Blender (Grease Pencil).

The Sound of Silence (Adult Animated Short)

Three friends try to capture and eat the last cow in the world.

HERBIVORES is a short indepedent animation created by Cut the Mustard Animation, a 2D animation studio from Norwich, UK. Created in 48-hours, the film was pitched, written and created in one weekend, a yearly tradition for the team. The film follows three down-and-outs (affectionally called 'hair', 'hat' and 'bald') in a dystopian future where meat consumtion is illegal. After hearing that Wagyu, the last cow in the world, is coming to the UK, they hatch a plan to eat her. The film is written and directed by Liam Gilbey, and animated by Liam, Amy Howard, Eleanor Linder and Finley Geen, among other peers, friends and family who came down to say hi, help out and contribute something to add to the film. The film is animated in TVPaint and Adobe After Effects, with sounds sourced from Freesound or recoreded on-site. Jake Taylor created the original music. We're huge advocates for indie animation, so this is our way to break away from corperate projects and make something wacky for people to enjoy.

It’s where loyalty, betrayal, and guilt collide — and where our amphibious antihero, Commissioner Olover Hopz, comes face to face with a ghost from his past: Chuck Fettuccine, his long-lost partner turned revenant with a gun and a grudge.Visually, this project pushes a hybrid style — 2D hand animation mixed with comic panel stills, cinematic camera moves, and pulpy atmosphere. Think Sin City meets BoJack Noir, with that signature Lude Concepts grimy edge. Every frame is designed to feel like a lost page from a crime comic.⚙️ What’s Happening Right NowThis project is currently deep in WIP (Work in Progress) mode — animated live on TikTok, where you can catch the process as it happens: rough sketches, frame breakdowns, voice recording sessions, and the occasional caffeine meltdown. The goal is to not just show the process — but to build the world in real time with anyone who wants to be part of it. Artists, animators, sound designers, voice actors, or even storytellers who want to throw their creative DNA into this world — this is your invite. 💀 Why This MattersThe Freight Yard story is a key piece of the larger Jurassic Narc mythology. It dives into the psychological decay that drives these characters — and sets up threads that will connect directly to the main series and future episodes. It’s personal, gritty, and full of that “animated fever dream” energy that made Jurassic Narc what it is.💸 Crowdfunding & CollaborationThis isn’t a corporate-backed studio piece — it’s a community-built passion project. If you dig the style, the vibe, or the chaos of indie animation, support and collaboration mean everything right now. Sequence from: Jurassic Narc: Freight Yard

The Russian Bat ExperimentDuring the Cold War, Soviet scientists in Magadan began experiments weaponizing nature itself. They wanted to spread deadly viruses over enemy borders using small animals as carriers. The laboratory-made viruses were so potent that they killed most animals instantly, which presented a logical challenge for the scientists... to find a vector that could survive the virus when humans could not. They decided to try vampire bats. These were ideal creatures because they were accustomed to feasting on the blood of diseased and dead animals and had natural immunity to some of the manufactured viruses’ deadliest features.Unfortunately, these tropical bats could not survive the brutal Russian winter, even in a controlled environment. The project stalled until they could breed a new type of resilient vampire bat. One with thick fur, a robust constitution, and an increased blood storage capacity. Augmented by Pleistocene gene splicing and radiation exposure, the scientists produced twelve abnormally large vampire bats suitable for the toughest climates. Despite their size and density, when they were injected with the deadly virus these genetic monsters withered and died. All except one. A very special bat. This test subject was much larger than the others. Perhaps that is why he could endure the deadly chemicals injected into his veins. His oily wings were heavy and the thick leather membrane squeaked when he splayed his clawed fingers. His belly was swollen and he breathed in long, loud gasps. Most horrifying of all and unlike any bat every recorded, this creature could speak. He called himself HUGO.The scientists, terrified yet driven by the overmastering spell of discovery, attempted to train Hugo. They spoke to him and taught him the rudiments of reading and writing. In time, he could carry a conversation with his “hosts” as he called them. When he performed his tasks well he was rewarded with blood that was drawn from political prisoners in the Gulag and stored in huge vats. Hugo drank, and drank, and drank. The more blood he took in, the more he needed. He demanded more and refused to cooperate with the training regimen. Eventually he reversed the scientists’ role. Instead of rewarding him with blood when he performed to their expectations, he had trained them to provide blood in exchange for compliance. When he was interrogated by intelligence officials about his creators Hugo laughed, and in a guttural voice, sticky and wet, he called the researchers “little meat packets.”Once, when looking at a picture of the night sky, Hugo spoke his true mind. He wanted to be set free from the laboratory so he might “taste all the kinds of blood in the world.” “Let me fly,” he Demanded in tone that hinted of mockery and threat. “You keep me here. You deprive me. You starve me.”The overseers of the project had condemned the project long before. The plans to disperse viruses through animal vectors was deemed unreasonably dangerous. They had only allowed Hugo to exist thus far out of sheer, horrified curiosity. Despite the scientific opportunities such a creature presented, authorities commanded Hugo’s termination. An execution squad armed with rifles marched into the laboratory with orders to arrest the scientists and destroy all evidence of their abominable work. But they were too late. The entire research staff was dead. They lay curled in contorted positions, drained, shrink wrapped in their own pallid skin and collapsing inward like emptied sacks. Hugo had vanished, but before he left he had scrawled with the tip of his claw on the outside of the facility... “Fresh blood tastes best.”Reports arrived two days later from the nearest Gulag. All of the prisoners and guards were reduced to leathery husks. Not a single drop of blood remained in their veins. Victims were found all along the so-called “Road of Bones”, the path Hugo had taken on his way into the heartland of Russia. Then, suddenly, in the deep cold of winter, the killings stopped. The rampage ended.Few records survived the purges, but one NKVD memo marked “Not for Distribution” declared the “Experiment was Contained.” Decades passed in relative silence. Rumors were squashed with ridicule. Families of the decedents were paid off or threatened into silence. “Hugo” became a boogeyman to frighten unruly children. That was, until two years ago when a derelict fishing trawler was found on Turkey’s Black Sea coast. Inside, every crewman was dead. Pale, their veins collapsed, drained of blood. Their skeletons were wrapped in dry skin, twisted into positions of eternal agony. Only one piece of evidence hinted at the cause. Scratched into the rusted iron hull of the ship were the words:“Hugo is Famished”.......................... Spread this creepypasta far and wide! Also testing some cum & lighting stuff, a very experimental animation for me overall. Infant, Slightly Used

Well, unlike the first episode, I think this one was a complete overhaul. It was also very fun to make the graphics for this, and I hope you like this, too!

The battle song is called The Wyverns Keep…

DAY JOB episode 1

The reason this exists is because a /v/3 event on summer (Which also had that trailer with Horbror's song) allowed goofy videos and comedy skits, so I had the idea of making one about my game. The "animation" is non-existent since it's clearly a slideshow here (Made in Godot of all things, even) and the art style is simple in a way that I can see people compare it to corporate illustrations and such. The few jokes here are inspired by Shin-Chan.Ideally, the stuff here should obviously come off as absurd and goofy (Which I'm hoping you get that if you're Media Literate™ enough). Also, no sound at all because I didn't think it mattered that much though the /v/3 stream did added a song.

Hi! I am Carlos Parada, a producer and filmmaker specializing in animation.

Hi! I am Carlos Parada, a producer and filmmaker specializing in animation. My experience spans a wide range of projects, including advertising, where I have animated and created logos for various businesses, from audiovisual and corporate clients to merch and visuals for bands. My primary source of experience comes from the world of music videos, where I have had the opportunity to collaborate with bands both nationally and internationally. In addition to music videos, I have also worked on the animated short film "Microsueños" and several animated series projects. My expertise covers both the artistic and production aspects of animation.

CHIVO NEGRO REEL

Another animation that kind of went nowhere. Salvaged some of the original idea but wasn't able to get geometry nodes to cooperate for a faux fluid sim. So a short expansion sequence is all I could really squeeze out of it.

Additionally, we welcomed an extra student onboard as an animator.

It goes without saying that I gathered copious amounts of reference in order to create this animation. If I was ever given the chance to helm a Mickey Mouse project I would make damn sure he stayed true to the ideals of his original creators. With that said, I just wanted to make some high quality expert fan art of my favorite version of Mickey Mouse. I think the white face black pupils is the most iconic but I understand why they had to give him eye whites with pupils and that reason being it allows for better expressions. Sonic is actually still dealing with this problem due to his motorcycle helmet style eye whites and seemingly singular eyeball that cover most of his head. Sega seems to have forgotten how to stylize Sonic so that his crazy head and eye size don't give people nightmares. Sonic should stay as far away from reality as possible. His design is built purely from artistic cheats that are crucial to his appeal. However, the Sonic movie did a decent job fixing it by giving him 2 distinct eyeballs but I digress, this isn't about Sonic this is about Mickey Mouse. Apparently people don't like Mickey Mouse anymore because he's a lame boring corporate mascot. Well that happened because Mickey Mouse became too important. He used to be a trouble maker and a rambunctious little fella but they ripped that out of him and gave those traits to Donald to protect Mickey's image and after Disney did that Donald started to outpace Mickey in popularity because people can relate to a bad luck duck that almost says **** whenever he's pissed off. Mickey was turned into a milquetoast shade of his former self sadly. They did try to evolve Mickey with the Paul Rudish shorts but I feel even if they match the contemporary style of the time that style is not Mickey nor is it Disney nor is it timeless. And yet they're pretty good shorts either way! However, I personally don't think Mickey nor Goofy nor any of the cast are suited well to SpongeBob style gross out humor. Anyway, again, I could've kept ranting about the state of Mickey Mouse forever but instead I tried to do something positive with my rage and this is what that rage birthed. Please enjoy!
