Suffering from a lack of creative direction, I decided to make a movie. I had no idea so much went into what seemed a simple thing. 2 years later I have self-learned script-writing, directing, video &amp; sound editing, doing that along with character and environment design, modeling and animating. It’s frustratingly slow, extremely intimating, but a true creative joy. Check it out and hope you like it! Animatica - When the signal dies | 2 Years Solo Animation

Short animatic featuring Anise Uikeyou trying to contain an incident at the Halbe Guild

In the city of Stoliczgrad, the Halbe guild's engineer, Anise Uikyou, wakes up and clocks in to work. Upon entering her laboratory, she encounters a crucial problem with the main component of her energy generator. Following a shutdown caused by a power outage affecting the entire guild, the machine and the Mono-Rail Freight Systems connected to it lose functionality. Under the immense pressure of trying to fix the device, she comes face-to-face with one of her biggest fears - complete system failure. TOTALLY REAL HALBE SERIES PRODUCTION STORYBOARD LEAKSdecided to post the animatic i made a few months ago as an assignment, this features some oc lore (voices by pingyelloe and my friend dan!!) the process was fun and i enjoyed fleshing out my characters and their setting; smth that im especially proud of is the environment design since i want it to resemble a proper eastern european setting;a lot of the inspo behind my work here was my own oc plans along with parts of evangelion, lain, and half-life;

Halbe - CRITICAL FAILURE

This is an animation and lighting school project I made in the span of about a week, then refined by adding Maya textures and adjusting accordingly. The character design/concept, character model and character rig were done earlier before this project by me within Photoshop, Maya and ZBrush. Animation and lighting was done afterwards by me. The models for the environment and props were sourced from Sketchfab with permission. Meet Mallet! The soft-spoken clockwork maiden!

Meet Mallet! Prattles soft-spoken sister! In contrast to Prattle's loud and impulsive nature, Mallet is extremely delicate and gentle. However her gentleness belies the clockwork contraptions filling her body that she uses in their performances together! She's got everything from supports to saws to guns to a giant ball and chain! This was a really big, interesting challenge! Took quite a while because of a sheer amount of new things I was trying! Detailed character interactions, mechanical animation, learning how to environment design, and a little bit of voice directing! Huge HUGE thanks to everyone who helped make this happen.Hyperchaotix, Taxiderby, and Rigsby, yall made such a huge difference for this.

INTRODUCING MALLET!!!

Music by Armin Jusuframić, performed 2025, <a href="https://arminjmusic.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://arminjmusic.com/</a>Thank you so much for this fantastic dark ambient reinterpretation! The original version of this comic-animatic was drafted around 2010. Dead Space was the game that motivated me to buy my first proper gaming computer back in the 2010s.Back then, during a gaming party with some friends, one of them introduced us to Dead Space which he played in his Xbox 360. I was Blown away. I was unaware of the advancements in horror gaming and loved the immersive environment and creature designs. So I started saving for both a custom gaming computer from a small PC building business(a Rig which would also serve me for art and design) and a physical copy at an Office Depot (I didn't know of Steam until the sequel came out). While I was setting apart the money to buy my gaming rig, thanks to the immense hype and anticipation I started drawing the original version of this comic. This scenario was drawn thanks to the lore that my friend who owned the game at the time, told us while he was playing, and I also listened to the lullaby posted here <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpYz4EQVo1w&amp;list=RDbpYz4EQVo1w&amp;start_radio=1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpYz4EQVo1w&amp;list=RDbpYz4EQVo1w&amp;start_radio=1</a>, Something to note is that, prior to drafting the original version I didn't see the marketing trailer, I didn't watch other gameplays or youtube videos, I didn't check the Wikia, and the character references for drawing were scarce on the internet. As you see that version was left incomplete. I was lacking some art skills, and the figures and books from the game were not very available in my country until much, much later. I got my PC and my game and forgot about it for a long while. I picked up this fan art piece, after many years as it was a fun exercise in graphic narrative, and now I learned a bit of extra skills to properly finish comics. For the storytelling, I took inspiration from the Lullaby and used the lyrics as symbolisms to narrate the sequence within these pages. This is the tought process and break-down of the panels you see: Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star (glowing eyes)How I wonder what you are (a lifeform, a necromorph)Up above the world so high (necromorph falls from the ceiling)Like a diamond in the sky (Necromorph's glowing eye+ The Miner looking up)When the blazing sun is gone, (Sun=Miner's life)When the nothing shines upon, (Darkness=Miner's death)Then you show your little light (Little light=Infector's Proboscis, sign of reincarnation/life, tunnel of light while dying or near death)Twinkle, twinkle, all the night. (All the night=Time Passing, transformation ongoing, preparing to return to life as a new form) Then the traveler in the dark, (Isaac)Thanks you for your little spark, (living monster=uncleared area )He could not see which way to go, (path unexplored, exit level is near)If you did not twinkle so. (if Isaac didn't find a living Necromorph) When the blazing sun is gone, (Marker blocks sunlight)When the nothing shines upon, (Darkness=Marker is the source of the nightmare)Though I know not what you are, (the necromorph looming behind)Twinkle, twinkle, little star. (necromorph glowing eyes, little star= a lifeform) I haven't checked newest sources or lore expansion to see if what I "saw" in the lyrics was accurate to the story's representation XD. But still, wanted to finish this. Thanks so much for watching! I hope to get/play the reboot and buy its artbook soon!

HALF OF THE VID IS MISSING AUDIO DUE TO LACK OF FEMALE VOICE ACTORS, OR VOICE ACTORS IN GENERAL. Team of Multiversal Anomalous Objects Research [TMAOR] Members: GoldenDroid [Gold], SilverDroid [Silver], LeaDroid [Lead], and RoseGoldenDroid [Rose] “Their names and color designs are purely aesthetic and do not define the members’ roles and/or personalities in reference to the ores that inspires them.” – XxNicololaxX Roles and Personalities Gold: Team leader. Has a calm yet authoritative personality. Gives orders and follows Mr. Cross’s commands to theletter. Silver: Team explorer. Cold and straightforward when it comes to following orders or holding a conversation. Lead: Assistant to the leader and second in command. Looks up to Gold and tries to be like him. Due to her young age, she’s not always taken seriously. Rose: Team strategist. Intelligent and analytical, often seeking explanations or plans for every situation. Has a sense of humor and loves to dramatize events whenever possible. BIOS [SILVER] Name: SilverDroid [Alias: Silver] Details: The only surviving member of the TMAOR, now Mr. Cross’s right-hand man. Race: Human-android Weight: 75kg Height: 1.70m Age: Presumed to have been around 13 years old before being kidnapped and stripped of his memories as a normal child, later being turned into what he is now. At least 5 years have passed since that event. Appearance: At first glance, he looks like an ordinary teenage boy. Gray, messy hair that appears dyed, a gray sweatshirt with no pockets, dark gray pants, and white shoes. The only odd detail is that his eyes are never visible. [GOLD]Name: GoldenDroid [Alias: Gold] Race: Human-android Details: The leader of the Team of Multiversal Anomalous Objects Research [TMAOR]. Or at least, he used to be... Height: 1.67m Weight: 70kg Age: Unlike Silver, an identification card was found at his kidnapping site, confirming that he was 14 years old at the time. Given how much time has passed since the event, it can be assumed that he would now be 19 years old. Appearance: Appears to be a regular young man with naturally blonde, messy hair, a golden-yellow sweatshirt with no pockets, dark gray pants, and white sneakers. His eyes are also not visible. [LEAD] Name: LeaDroid [Alias: Lead] Race: Human-android Details: Gold’s assistant and the first female member to join the TMAOR. (Quite surprising, honestly, since one might have thought Rose would’ve been the first.) She’s also the youngest of the team, though only by a small margin. Height: 1.57m Weight: 61kg Age: Presumably 16 years old. Appearance: She looks like a regular teenage girl, with messy bluish-gray hair (which doesn’t appear dyed), a sweatshirt of a matching bluish-gray tone, dark gray pants, and white sneakers. Her eyes, like the others’, are not visible. [ROSE] Name: RoseGoldenDroid [Alias: Rose] Race: Human-android Details: Gold’s younger sister and the last member to join the TMAOR. (Surprisingly, since Lead was expected to be the last, given the family connection between Gold and Rose.) Height: 1.60m Weight: 65kg Age: Presumably 17 years old, making her only a few months older than Lead. Appearance: Hair of a rose-gold hue, matching her rose-gold sweatshirt with no pockets, gray pants, and white sneakers. Like the rest of the team, her eyes are not visible. This team was dedicated to investigating anomalies that allowed travel, transportation, or communication between different dimensions, under the command of Mr. Cross. He knew that there was a smuggled interdimensional travel device hidden somewhere in Overcity (different from the one Gold uses) and sent the TMAOR to track it down and destroy it. In episode 4 of EMDN, Nico receives the coordinates of where this device is located (from a mysterious and unknown source). He, along with Minino (and later Ian), set out to find it without knowing what it truly was. They climbed a mountain, entered a cave filled with traps, narrow passages, a minecart section, and a lake, until finally reaching a chest containing the device. Unaware of what it was, Nico operated it, causing him, Minino, and Ian to be transported to Neowave, the dimension Minino originates from (something the TMAOR did not know). This triggered the TMAOR’s alarms, but also revealed the exact location of where the anomaly occurred prompting them to immediately investigate. While Nico was still unconscious from the teleportation (his first time experiencing it), Ian who was somewhat used to teleportation was awake but frightened by the unknown environment. He decided to return using the device, unintentionally revealing his location to the TMAOR once again. With that new position revealed, Gold ordered Silver to investigate the area and retrieve the device if found. His exact orders were: “Silver, go investigate that new location. If you find the device, take it at all costs, find those who traveled, send them back, and destroy the device.” When Silver encountered Ian, who was trying to figure out how to bring his friends back, he seized the device, knocked Ian out, and went looking for Nico and Minino. Upon entering Neowave, he destroyed the device as soon as he arrived accidentally setting the restaurant where Nico, Minino, Minina, and Katy were located on fire. The others escaped, but the restaurant collapsed, leaving Nico, Katy, Minino, and Minina (though the latter two weren’t seen in the scene) unconscious.Silver took advantage of their state, bringing them back using his own interdimensional travel device leaving Nico and Minino in front of their homes, and Katy at Nico’s house (since Silver had no idea where else to leave her). After the series’ cancellation, Mr. Cross began searching for power sources for the Overcrystal and sent the TMAOR to various dimensions in search of someone compatible. However, he separated Silver from the rest of the team. His role as explorer made him more efficient alone, according to Cross. For this very reason, Cross devised a plan to end up with Silver as his only subordinate and promote him to his right-hand man. What he did was simple: he cut off all forms of communication with the others and disabled their interdimensional travel devices and voilà, the TMAOR was no more. Cross was left with only Silver, whom he considered to have the greatest potential and efficiency in finding someone capable of powering the Overcrystal.

A retro-futuristic 3D environment created over the course of 2+months as part of the 3D Environment Design course by ArtCraft School. This scene represents a crew lounge aboard a utilitarian space vessel — a gritty, analog-driven rest bay for tired engineers and maintenance bots. The design draws inspiration from 1970s sci-fi aesthetics, blending warm lighting, heavy materials, and dated tech: CRT monitors, reel-to-reel decks, modular panels, and soft cornered architecture. While some assets were taken from libraries, the composition, lighting, and modular kitbash were crafted in Blender, with Substance Painter for texturing and Unreal Engine 5 for real-time rendering.Core environment and layout based on a concept by Fabien Daubet - <a href="https://www.artstation.com/artwork/042xDw" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://www.artstation.com/artwork/042xDw</a>

Crew Lounge — Asteroid Mining Ship

I said I was going to do it. Finished over the course of the last 2 nights and I only had to re-render it once. This was pretty fun to animate, trying to fake the weightlessness of zero-g was surprisingly the best part. I do think I'll make more sci-fi themed stuff sometime soon. I do like keeping to an overall fantasy setting when it comes to my characters, but it is fun to play with lighting and more utilitarian environment design. That being said I do think for now the zero suit stuff is going back on the shelf, unless people want to see the others in one, I could probably be persuaded.

Alright finished.FIRST! The music is from an artist called:The Enigma TNG.Here's a link to his song called "Mantra" below:<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xV7ACiK2Q0A" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xV7ACiK2Q0A</a>probably my favorite of all time. I've loved his music for 6 years now. And even considered his music as an inspirational piece of my art. Like if I had a cartoon his music(or at least music that sound like his) would play in the serious moments. So please check him out. Also his songs are free for non commercial use(so yeah I didn't just get his song just out of nowhere.) This was going to be the background but honestly I wasn't feeling it tbh. It felt...generic. And even off due to shaped and colors I thought didn't really match. Si I drew a knew background to give it a more distinct style and even wanted to give it an Arabic look to it.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/320/iu_1320271_20664676.gif" width="560" height="333" alt="iu_1320271_20664676.gif" data-smart-scale="560,333"><img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/320/iu_1320272_20664676.webp" width="764" height="458" alt="iu_1320272_20664676.webp" data-smart-scale="764,458"> I'm a massive fan of Arabic architecture and clothing. The buildings are honestly cool and unique to me. Like this one is a famous mosque called: Sheikh Zayed Grand MosqueMy favorite aspect of the designs are the columns, especially the top part called the arches. Though this is on another alien planet so it's not entirely the same but still the mosque served as an artistic inspiration for me.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/320/iu_1320276_20664676.webp" width="764" height="764" alt="iu_1320276_20664676.webp" data-smart-scale="764,764"><img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/320/iu_1320277_20664676.webp" width="764" height="520" alt="iu_1320277_20664676.webp" data-smart-scale="764,520"><img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/320/iu_1320278_20664676.webp" width="764" height="507" alt="iu_1320278_20664676.webp" data-smart-scale="764,507"> Also the 2003 Starwars the clone wars series was also an inspiration for the whole idea to begin with. I want to make more "elegant" and snapping looking fights as well. Were characters are crafty and even ZIP around the environment as they fight as well. Which is actually how Emily(my OC) fights. I love the style.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/320/iu_1320279_20664676.gif" width="426" height="240" alt="iu_1320279_20664676.gif" data-smart-scale="426,240">Anyways this originally wasn't a huge project I was working on but I just started to really get in the zone and next thing you know it, I'm adding more scenes and adding music to go along with it.I wanted to add sound effects and even VA but I thought I was just doing way too much honestly lol.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/320/iu_1320280_20664676.gif" width="426" height="240" alt="iu_1320280_20664676.gif" data-smart-scale="426,240">

Concept and InspirationThe idea behind Mario and the Purple Spot came from MrSeb81’s fascination with glitch art and video game lore. He wanted to explore an unusual plot point in the Mario universe, where the normally cheerful world of Mario is disrupted by a strange, unexplained phenomenon: the purple spot. The concept was to give Mario a task that felt strange but oddly relatable—much like the frustration players feel when encountering a glitch they can’t solve. Character DevelopmentMario’s character, usually a fearless plumber, was portrayed in a slightly more confused and paranoid light in this short film. Voice actor behind Mario (MrSeb81 himself, perhaps!) went for a more stressed, edgy tone throughout the video. Mario questions the purple spot’s existence, often engaging in humorous inner monologues that reflect the absurdity of the situation.Supporting characters, such as Luigi and Toad, make brief but impactful appearances, each offering their own ridiculous theories about the purple spot. These small cameos were improvised, adding a spontaneous flavor to the character dynamics. Set Design and Visual EffectsThe purple spot was no ordinary visual. In post-production, MrSeb81 experimented with glitch overlays, using vibrant purples and pixel distortions to make the spot look out-of-place in Mario’s typically vibrant, cheery environment. Using modern editing tools, they were able to give the purple spot an eerie glow that hints at something "off" in the Mario universe. Many of the sets were classic Mario worlds recreated using fan-made 3D models and custom animations. The contrast between the crisp 3D designs and the glitchy, ominous spot is one of the video’s highlights.

The First Day (3D)

Short proof-of-concept sequence made for college!

<blockquote>A lone mushroom huntress traverses the forbidden landscapes in order to retrieve a mysterious golden orb, only to uncover...</blockquote> Worked on this with a few pals over the course of 6-8 weeks for a 'World Builders' assignment for college, which involved creating a short cinematic trailer through visual development. However, while we did create a rough synopsis and environment, it was purely for this trailer and, as of now, we have no plans on developing this concept further at this stage, as we have moved on to other projects in the lead-up to the end of this course (it's thesis film time, baby!!!) Maybe sometime in the near future, we'll return to this concept with more time and people to help bring this to fruition, but for now, we hope you all enjoy what we made regardless! VFX done using Trapcode by Red Giant in Adobe After Effects CC 2019. It's a LOOP! A year ago I did THIS Motion Graphics Animation of my Fursona:
<a href="https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/707213">https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/707213</a> To me, I tend to view motion graphics as more basic and simple, but despite that they can get VERY complex, and time consuming. It's basically a still picture that has elements in it that moves such as VFX, but some of those can get rather advanced in technique. I was still consider this more on the basic to intermediate end. It was very difficult, frustrating, and stressful to try and figure these things out since 2016. But, I just kept at it. When I was at UMASS Boston so many professionals had no idea how to do these things, even tho' in theory it ought to be simple. Adobe also doesn't make it fool-proof, and doesn't exactly teach this stuff either, which I found strange because this style is not even new whatsoever. I'm glad to get on with these things and see my progress since last year. Last year, I wanted to understand particles fully, and even tho' I can comprehend them somewhat now, I'm not a master of any of it. 3D software is a big issue of contention for me because it destroyed my entire career field at exactly the time period I graduated from animation/film/art school in 2001 even tho' traditional animation had just been peaking in the market, and Japanese traditional animation took off even further. But, I also value VFX, Filmmaking, and editing software which is much better than those old analogue video editing machines and VHS or BETA decks. I see no reason why I can't use 3D elements, VFX such as particles, parallaxing, camera movements, 3D environments, 3D digital cameras, 3D vectors, or 2D vectors in a fusion of hand made art together. I also see no reason why it's acceptable for computers, machines, and software, ought to replace art and artists. I find this unacceptable. This piece of artwork was drawn by hand with a pencil on paper and scanned, then cleaned &amp; painted/colored in Adobe Photoshop. The Motion Graphics animation + compositing was done in After Effects, and the final edit was cleaned &amp; reworked in Adobe Premiere. I also use Adobe's Media Encoder to render out my videos because I find the codecs stay more consistent that way in the final result. It's not as noticeable in the newer versions of Creative Cloud, but it's still there. Anyways, THIS was VERY FIRST project this year, and my VERY FIRST actual original project using Trapcode! ^,^ I was SO EXCITED to even get Trapcode back in November! My older work usually did NOT have so much slowness, or stillness, or downtempo and even ambientness as the things I had done at the end of the 20th Century, and the beginnings of the 21st Century. So, THAT alone was a significant challenge for me, since I'd usually been such a hyper person, and prone to dynamic or flamboyant styles. But, in order to learn these things I needed to try and learn how to create things that were not fast paced, but slow, and more calm. VERY difficult for me. Often these motion graphics projects are a way to experiment, subjectively, things like mood, emotive feelings, but also the software and allowing it to be the tool, and NOT the art. I also do the audio design as well.

The FINAL END GAME Experimental Animated FILM of the Jackalope

* OMFG! THIS final edit took SO LONG to actually do, and was meticulous, and time consuming. I HOPE YOU APPRECIATE THAT.
_______________________________ * NOTE:
THIS IS AN EXPERIMENTAL FILM, AND NOT A NARRATIVE FILM i.e. NOT A STORY-TELLING PIECE, KIDDIES. * I know a lot of u kids didn't study film, or art, in university academia [as I did], don't know the origins of film, or DW Griffith, and have been conditioned n primed to only accept Narrative Bias in films and videos.
Also, (NOT TRYING TO BE CONDESCENDING SO MUCH AS UNDERSTANDING -because I'm a MOM) I know many of you are REALLY REALLY YOUNG on this site (and also pretending, and playing grown-up, and NO I'm NOT going to REPORT anybody, but I AM AWARE, so I'm NOT gonna bite off children's heads on the net), and never learned things like Subjectivity VS Objectivity including East VS. West in both film &amp; comics and tend to only be familiar with Western Based goal-driven action-to-action formatted cinema/video SPECIFICALLY for Narrative driven motion picture works. * This is BOTH Experimental, AND a Music Video.
* The Goal of this film (and the series Jackalope of films) was to practice using Adobe After Effects CC: Particles, Tweening, Puppet Animation, Incorporating Traditional frame-by-frame animation (the jackalope ears &amp; eye are traditionally animated in Adobe Photoshop &amp; Krita then composited in After Effects), nesting, VFX, Color consistency within an environment.
* Another MAJOR point of focus was SUBJECTIVITY and not OBJECTIVITY or goal driven action-to-action plot driven. This means to focus MORE of EXPLORING things like MOOD, evoking a feeling within the viewer.
* The piece itself is NOT narrative driven, but the process of CREATING this work is FULL OF STORIES, and GOALS, but YOU only see this video. LONG hours of effort went into creating this work, including delays &amp; pesky set-backs.
* The original Concept Work for this was created in Jan-Feb 2017 and took from Feb-May 2017 to complete on a limited time frame of when I was able to work on it. But, the reworking aspects of this film started in October of 2018, and I'd only just finished this final edit in Mid December 2018 with MORE hours per day to work on it.
_________________________ The MAIN original goal of these works was TO LEARN THE SOFTWARE and VFX as well as do this thing called PRACTICING so as to accomplish this other thing called IMPROVING SKILLS. Mind-blowing, I know... Computers DON'T DO EVERYTHING. ________________________ The original concept was actually 4 Seasons but was whittled down to 1, which was Spring.
But, the only way to get 4 seasons, is to MAKE EACH SEASON, which takes time and thing thing called effort.
Weird, huh? I know... * The Original Experimental Films IN ORDER: * Original Spring Sakura/Cherry Blossoms version AND in Parallax:
