Franklin finds something odd in the storeroom

VOODOO VIDS EPISODE 4: IN BRUCE WE TRUST Episode 4 is upon us and I hope you enjoy it! I'm aware that many people may not have seen the original Evil Dead movie. And you don't need to have seen it to have some fun in this episode, but there are a lot of references here that are connected to the Evil Dead series. If you want some more context before watching, maybe check out the last edition of the Spooky Zine. ABOUT THE SPOOKY ZINEThe spooky zine is a once a month mini mag that explores some more of the local lore and connects with the episodes and world of voodoo vids in a way that's external to the animation. They are a bit of fun, but also can contain wider context for viewers that want to have some additional context. Or maybe you just want to read more about what's happening in the wider universe. A LOVE LETTER TO EVIL DEADThis episode is a love letter to Evil Dead and nods to the horror classic in certain ways I hope you would find nostalgic and at the same time, perhaps encourage some new people to seek out The Evil dead movies if you haven't seen them. You have to have a passion for old school splatter gore horror. But it's got a great blend of gore and comic styled over the top supernatural elements that are sure to delight, and Bruce Campbell is just brilliant as Ash Williams. I'm super excited to learn that there are rumors Bruce may even return to the movies in some capacity. I know currently Bruce is battling cancer, which is awful news, but as he said himself, "Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch".I along with many fans are wishing him a good battle and hope he gets well soon! I'd love to see him on the big screen in Evil Dead again! Beyond this point there will be episode 4 spoilers so return to read the rest after you've seen the episode. BEHIND THE SCENES OF EPISODE 4This episode took a lot longer to make than the others, I hope that shows and also thank you for your patience. The script went through a few re writes and last minute changes that extended the runtime. Having every character in a single episode comes with more challenges, making sure to give each of them a good scene. But I think it was worth it as if you like any character in particular they are all present in this one. THAT ICONIC INTROIf you are familiar with Evil Dead you will have noticed I did my best to pay homage to the opener from Evil Dead 2 that explains the Necronomicon's origins. Making that was so much fun, animating the front cover of the book, combining it with some stock footage of an ocean that I tinted red, and for the "ink effect" on the page reveals I used some simple track mattes of real ink drop footage to do that. I love how it turned out.I also did the narration in the intro, I rearranged elements of the original script to work better with the set up for this parody. My goal was to allow people who've never heard of, or watched Evil dead to get up to speed as quickly as possible with the idea that "this book is bad news" TECHNICAL STUFFOne of the biggest challenges is creating new environments and props. Something you see on screen for a few seconds in a few shots has had to be created from scratch. Some times I over engineer stuff too and I probably could've made the chainsaw without an actually animated chain... but because I did, It allowed me to get some cool camera angles of it in action. Same can be said for the shotgun that Franklin is using. it is based of the same model they used in Evil Dead 2, the original film Ash used a single barreled Winchester, but the sequel it was a 12 guage double barrel Stevens model, and later in the 3rd movie it was a double barrel Stoeger Coach Gun, which is lovingly referred to now as "The Boomstick"Ash famously saws the barrel off in Evil Dead 2. Of course I needed a forest. Not any easy set to build but I made it easy by cutting a lot of corners, the whole forest set is just a simple plane with a particle system placing tree images randomly across the surface.I made it within an hour and the lighting is doing most of the heavy lifting. which is again fairly simple. I like my renders to not take AGES. Most of the animation scenes take about 4-5 seconds per frame. So the forest was as basic as it needed to be. Paul's date cutaway was another external set that required a suburban feel to it. so I modeled some simple houses and kept camera angles to a minimum and focused only on what I needed. it was a very short scene so keeping the set small was important... but I could probably use it again in future should the need arise.Voodoo Vids itself as a set is the biggest and most detailed because I wanted a space where I can point the camera pretty much anywhere and have a great shot. A lot of time was spent on that, but it still needs work and more will come to the set eventually. Another huge time save has been using multiple cameras within the same scene and swapping between them. traditionally I would've worked on one scene per camera shot, but using Blenders camera marker system I can have multiple cameras that I can cut to whenever I need. so I can animate the whole scene in one blend file. This also makes it easier to alter small parts or fix things in post easier without having to dig through a load of different scene files. MUFFINMuffin the Dog was referenced in the Spooky Zine and fun fact, he is voiced by our own dog Podrick. Recording his various noises is fun. To get his taco crunching sounds we used a Poppadom, he very much enjoys working with us when there's food involved. The next two episodes will probably be a little shorter again too not keep the gaps too long between them. AND for the finale there's going to be another great addition to the page that you can all experience and join in. more on that soon.We may even see some more new characters too!! FINAL NOTEThank you all for watching and a special thanks to Bruce Campbell and Director Sam Raimi for making a bonkers horror franchise that inspires fans and creators still to this day.As for Voodoo Vids please share it if you can, tell people about It! Your support is greatly appreciated with every like, vote, comment. It will be available on youtube next week, right now they remain as Newgrounds exclusives at launch. If you want to know anything else about production or things I've not mentioned here, then please ask. more than happy to answer any questions.See you in the next one! and look out for the next edition of the Spooky Zine for some more info soon!

Voodoo Vids - #4 In Bruce We Trust

Franklin has an idea to get more money in the shop

VOODOO VIDS EPISODE 3: THE CLAW! Well here we are with the third short! This one was a lot of fun to work on this past week. I'll go into more details below as there will be spoilers if you haven't watched it yet. But thank you so much for the support! Newgrounds saw potential in the first episode and gave it a front page position. Truly thankful for that opportunity, and i'm really happy that the short has found some fans. I've been receiving some great messages and really am enjoying meeting others in the indie animation scene. OK, on with the the details. Spoilers from this point on. THE STORYThis third short is based on true events. I was out celebrating a friends birthday and there was an arcade, a claw machine contained these capybara toys, I just really wanted to win one but the machine wouldn't hand it over. My partner decided she would make it her mission to get it for me and i'm happy to say she returned to the arcade the next day and did get it as a surprise, and i'm now a proud owner of a capybara holding a smiling pineapple. FRANKLINWe saw Franklin in the 2nd short briefly. But this time he's made his debut. Franklin is a positive happy guy that just wants to help in anyway he can.. sometimes, he makes mistakes but that's ok. I find BIG characters are a fun contrast to the smallness of Thalia. Having a range of character sizes makes for a more visually dynamic cast and I love how Franklin is essentially Frankenstiens monster wearing bowling shirts and sandals. He's a lovable dude and I can't wait to make more with him. WRITING COMEDYProbably the hardest thing to write because it's just so subjective and i'm not a super confidant writer of anything. The first two shorts required the viewer to have some external knowledge of films like Twilight and Terrifier 3 to really land as intended. So this time I wanted to make the comedy as self contained as it can be. This ones for everyone, or at least I tried my best to write it that way. Some of the greatest comedies ever written stick close to what most people can relate to, Faulty Towers with its husband & wife running a business angle, IT crowd with its office antics... THE OFFICE itself! all of those are relatable character driven sitcoms. As well as referencing popculture from time to time, I need to remember that the writing will land best if it serves what people KNOW. So going forward I hope to lean into that more. and when all else fails? slapstick... Tom the cat getting hit in the face with a frying pan never fails. THE SHOPThe Voodoo Vids building itself is somewhere I want the viewer to desire to go. it's warm, inviting, filled with interesting things. It likely smells of stale coffee and hot CRT's and plastic video cases. I've seen every inch of it because I built everything in it, but the viewers haven't, So I try to get a few establishing shots in there to show the place from different angles. Getting that feeling of "I wish I could go to a place like Voodoo Vids" across more without sapping the pace. I just love strong establishing shots, combined with a nice piece of music, it sets the tone for the rest of it. There is a lot more to see inside, but we'll get to that in a future episode. SILLY VOICESI've done voice work before but for comerical purposes. Yes... I've literally been the guy that says"BUT WAIT! There's more" and I still do that, but I've wanted to get into character work for a while, so I'm using my own project as an excuse to have fun and explore that side of things too.I promise i'll get new voices in for future episodes... i'm no Hank Azaria and i'm looking forward to working with more people. SOME TECHNICAL STUFFThe Capybara world machine was fun to make BUT it was a headache at times. Between the claw rigging, and parenting to the control box, and the fricken CORD on the claw OMG... That was a fiddly thing to get looking right. A lot of trial and error but I settled on a bezier curve and used "hook to" constraints. It does the trick and that's good enough! The Capybara toy itself is a real toy, so I used my own as reference to make the model. I drew the machine artwork in Photoshop and brought it in as an image texture. and to finish off the machines aesthetics I composed its chiptune jingle using a website called "beepbox", if you want to make cool chip tunes and muck about with it, it's a great tool!I was going to model some coins for Victor to use, but I decided it was a detail I could cut to save time, and I don't think it would impact the visual impact by not having that in there. ON great tools a friend told me about WIGGLYPAINT which is the tool I used to draw the squiggly doodles of the characters in the credits. I love how fun they are. FINAL NOTEAside from my partner doing voice work and helping me recording foley sounds I'm working on the animation alone. It's tough but seeing the end result is so satisfying. And if others are enjoying it too then that's even better! Doing this lets me take on all aspects of a production and being indies, we get to just MAKE stuff without having to pass it around a boardroom for sign off on the dirt texture on the glass of the capybara machine. Thanks for the support, thank you for watching, and I look forward to hopefully making you laugh again real soon.

Pizza Kidd | Kickstarter Trailer

HALF OF THE VID IS MISSING AUDIO DUE TO LACK OF FEMALE VOICE ACTORS, OR VOICE ACTORS IN GENERAL. Team of Multiversal Anomalous Objects Research [TMAOR] Members: GoldenDroid [Gold], SilverDroid [Silver], LeaDroid [Lead], and RoseGoldenDroid [Rose] “Their names and color designs are purely aesthetic and do not define the members’ roles and/or personalities in reference to the ores that inspires them.” – XxNicololaxX Roles and Personalities Gold: Team leader. Has a calm yet authoritative personality. Gives orders and follows Mr. Cross’s commands to theletter. Silver: Team explorer. Cold and straightforward when it comes to following orders or holding a conversation. Lead: Assistant to the leader and second in command. Looks up to Gold and tries to be like him. Due to her young age, she’s not always taken seriously. Rose: Team strategist. Intelligent and analytical, often seeking explanations or plans for every situation. Has a sense of humor and loves to dramatize events whenever possible. BIOS [SILVER] Name: SilverDroid [Alias: Silver] Details: The only surviving member of the TMAOR, now Mr. Cross’s right-hand man. Race: Human-android Weight: 75kg Height: 1.70m Age: Presumed to have been around 13 years old before being kidnapped and stripped of his memories as a normal child, later being turned into what he is now. At least 5 years have passed since that event. Appearance: At first glance, he looks like an ordinary teenage boy. Gray, messy hair that appears dyed, a gray sweatshirt with no pockets, dark gray pants, and white shoes. The only odd detail is that his eyes are never visible. [GOLD]Name: GoldenDroid [Alias: Gold] Race: Human-android Details: The leader of the Team of Multiversal Anomalous Objects Research [TMAOR]. Or at least, he used to be... Height: 1.67m Weight: 70kg Age: Unlike Silver, an identification card was found at his kidnapping site, confirming that he was 14 years old at the time. Given how much time has passed since the event, it can be assumed that he would now be 19 years old. Appearance: Appears to be a regular young man with naturally blonde, messy hair, a golden-yellow sweatshirt with no pockets, dark gray pants, and white sneakers. His eyes are also not visible. [LEAD] Name: LeaDroid [Alias: Lead] Race: Human-android Details: Gold’s assistant and the first female member to join the TMAOR. (Quite surprising, honestly, since one might have thought Rose would’ve been the first.) She’s also the youngest of the team, though only by a small margin. Height: 1.57m Weight: 61kg Age: Presumably 16 years old. Appearance: She looks like a regular teenage girl, with messy bluish-gray hair (which doesn’t appear dyed), a sweatshirt of a matching bluish-gray tone, dark gray pants, and white sneakers. Her eyes, like the others’, are not visible. [ROSE] Name: RoseGoldenDroid [Alias: Rose] Race: Human-android Details: Gold’s younger sister and the last member to join the TMAOR. (Surprisingly, since Lead was expected to be the last, given the family connection between Gold and Rose.) Height: 1.60m Weight: 65kg Age: Presumably 17 years old, making her only a few months older than Lead. Appearance: Hair of a rose-gold hue, matching her rose-gold sweatshirt with no pockets, gray pants, and white sneakers. Like the rest of the team, her eyes are not visible. This team was dedicated to investigating anomalies that allowed travel, transportation, or communication between different dimensions, under the command of Mr. Cross. He knew that there was a smuggled interdimensional travel device hidden somewhere in Overcity (different from the one Gold uses) and sent the TMAOR to track it down and destroy it. In episode 4 of EMDN, Nico receives the coordinates of where this device is located (from a mysterious and unknown source). He, along with Minino (and later Ian), set out to find it without knowing what it truly was. They climbed a mountain, entered a cave filled with traps, narrow passages, a minecart section, and a lake, until finally reaching a chest containing the device. Unaware of what it was, Nico operated it, causing him, Minino, and Ian to be transported to Neowave, the dimension Minino originates from (something the TMAOR did not know). This triggered the TMAOR’s alarms, but also revealed the exact location of where the anomaly occurred prompting them to immediately investigate. While Nico was still unconscious from the teleportation (his first time experiencing it), Ian who was somewhat used to teleportation was awake but frightened by the unknown environment. He decided to return using the device, unintentionally revealing his location to the TMAOR once again. With that new position revealed, Gold ordered Silver to investigate the area and retrieve the device if found. His exact orders were: “Silver, go investigate that new location. If you find the device, take it at all costs, find those who traveled, send them back, and destroy the device.” When Silver encountered Ian, who was trying to figure out how to bring his friends back, he seized the device, knocked Ian out, and went looking for Nico and Minino. Upon entering Neowave, he destroyed the device as soon as he arrived accidentally setting the restaurant where Nico, Minino, Minina, and Katy were located on fire. The others escaped, but the restaurant collapsed, leaving Nico, Katy, Minino, and Minina (though the latter two weren’t seen in the scene) unconscious.Silver took advantage of their state, bringing them back using his own interdimensional travel device leaving Nico and Minino in front of their homes, and Katy at Nico’s house (since Silver had no idea where else to leave her). After the series’ cancellation, Mr. Cross began searching for power sources for the Overcrystal and sent the TMAOR to various dimensions in search of someone compatible. However, he separated Silver from the rest of the team. His role as explorer made him more efficient alone, according to Cross. For this very reason, Cross devised a plan to end up with Silver as his only subordinate and promote him to his right-hand man. What he did was simple: he cut off all forms of communication with the others and disabled their interdimensional travel devices and voilà, the TMAOR was no more. Cross was left with only Silver, whom he considered to have the greatest potential and efficiency in finding someone capable of powering the Overcrystal.

an isometric scene of a retro futuristic frutiger aero solar punk device

I recommend watching on fullscreen and with headphones 大家好！Hola! This is a hydroform node, made for terraforming extraterrestrial planets, a planet is bombarded with ice and water meteors to then get heated up and form clouds, a hydroform node takes the formed clouds and converts them into liquid water while distilling and purifying it from other vaporized chemicals mixed in the air, then the prepared water gets pumped out to different places of the planet. The fish is a bioindicator organism, if the fish survives the water is biologically safe, colonists use these as environmental diagnostics. for the overall design I got inspired by Frutiger aero aesthetics, and solar punk concepts for the conceptualization. I thought the result is something you would find in terraria, so i composed the soundtrack a bit like terraria's making it a pixel art Frutiger aero-solar punk mix style. I wanted to get a liminal feeling, or nostalgic feeling, I'm not sure how i got it but i did, to get it i deliberately let some elements of the composition feel off or odd, as in liminal spaces, something that has to do with the lightning, the only thing that casts shadows on this scene are the suctioned clouds and they only cast shadows within themselves, the rest is composition, for example the shadow casted by the device is actually a transparent cube, the shadows casted on the grass by the unimplied clouds are shaders, nothing casts shadows because almost every object's material has emission turned on The process i like using blender for creating 2d like stuff, playing with shaders and programming animations with geometry nodes, so a rough quick sketch took me a few hours and i got this: Then i started conceptualizing and using my references. at first i wanted to make it look as an infinite water body rendered within the boundaries of a cube but it looked as normal water but i ignored that. i used geometry nodes and the shader editor for the water, noise texture for the displacement (using geonodes) and i animated a voronoid texture for the water texturing, The caustics are a voronoid texture on a plane, also seen over the fish. animating the text was easy, i wanted it to look like a converged human language from the future, i used a font called stray (i think this font is from that game also called stray, never played it). I animated it arranging different texts and glitched versions in a 2d image, then animated the texture coordinates of the plane what will have the text.the pipes are transporting water, thats all, it may look weird but it is just moving water. i used geometry nodes for that animation specifically using a waves texture for scaling the pipe across a spline curve.the grass is just 4d noise texture setting the position of each vertex overtime.i didnt know how to make it loop perfectly so i leaved it as so. made only with blender (except the text texture, it was made using Photopea)As for the music, i wanted it to sound nostalgic and chill, i tried to get as close as the visual feeling i had at that time making the scene, So i chose the Mixolydian scale becase of the bVII, and 9th chords, a slow pace rhythm and sounds akin to the style (lofi old school frutiger, chiptune) i produced it with FL studio The sound effects are some folley, others are sounds i found in the internet and some i did with synthesizers The blend file is all yours to explore! Some other arts i've done (mostly with blender) 3D geometry dash sphere spider animated by bboybeat on Newgrounds I also make music; some of these are like the one of this animation! bboybeat's Audio. Argonian and a raptor are having hardcore sex

"Auron ! Long time no see !"He knew this voice, he knew it really well. He turned around, and there she was, standing at the entrance, Nurja ! She opened her arms, Auron ran towards her and jumped on her. She lost her balance and fell on the ground, holding him on her chest."I missed you too, fluffy boy !"He licked her face with love, waggling his body, he was just too happy to see her again, it's been so long. After some minutes, they finally got up."I've been travelling a lot lately" she said. "I wanted to come back here for a few days, I hope you won't mind."Auron approved with a grunt, then headed in the kitchen to come back with some food and water. They spent a few moments together, she told her last news. A few time passes."You know Auron, I have a little thing to tell you."She had that lusty look, a look that would get any males instantly hard, and Auron could feel his desire grow. A scent of female's hormones was getting stronger and stronger."I wanted to be prepared for you… and I haven't had any sex nor masturbated in a full week now. You know me really well, how hard it was for me to hold back".That was it, Auron's dick just grew by itself, out of his control. Nurja looked at it, both amused and aroused."I really missed it too. How about we head to your bedroom ? I want you to mate me like there is no tomorrow. I'm in so much heat I'm about to explode".No need to ask twice. They both went in the bedroom, she undressed and lied down on the bed, opening her legs, offering her body to the raptor's thrust. For the next few days, from clear dawn until the end of the day, she'll be his, and she'll love it. "Hold On" music video encourages trust in God, Bible as foundation for spiritual growth

"Hold On" is a powerful and uplifting music video that showcases the message of Jesus as our Savior and the source of comfort and strength in our lives. The video, animated by the talented Vincent Uy, explores the idea of finding hope and peace in knowing that Jesus is always there for us, working in our lives in ways that we may not always see or understand. The video starts by highlighting the challenges and struggles that many people face in their daily lives, from financial stress and relationship problems to illness and personal loss. However, it becomes clear that no matter what difficulties we may face, there is always a light of hope shining through the darkness, and that light comes from Jesus, who loves us deeply and is always by our side. One of the central themes of the video is that by accepting the Holy Spirit into our hearts, Jesus will set us free from the things that hold us back and bring peace and comfort to our lives. By putting our faith in Jesus and trusting in his plan for us, we can overcome any obstacle and find happiness and fulfillment in life. Throughout the video, we are reminded of the power of the Bible as a source of guidance, wisdom, and comfort, and encouraged to read and study it in order to gain a deeper understanding of Jesus' love and plan for our lives. The Bible teaches us to trust in Jesus, even when things may not make sense, and to have faith in his wisdom and goodness. A key Bible verse that ties in with the message of "Hold On" is Romans 8:28, which states, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." This verse reminds us that Jesus is always working behind the scenes to bring good into our lives and guide us towards his greater purpose. The stunning animation in the video perfectly captures the message of hope and love that is at the heart of the song, and serves to reinforce the message that Jesus is always with us, working for our good. "Hold On" is a powerful and moving reminder that by accepting Jesus as our Savior and relying on the Bible as a source of guidance, we can navigate life's challenges with confidence and find peace and happiness in all that we do. For those interested in exploring the message of "Hold On" further, the video can be found on the artist's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCooA7Ir0PsjBFLQLi2jRt0Q) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100089405569901), where fans and followers can stay up-to-date with the latest news and events. In conclusion, "Hold On" is a powerful and inspiring reminder of the love and grace of Jesus and the power of the Bible in our lives. By accepting Jesus as our Savior and relying on the Bible as a source of guidance, we can find peace and happiness in all that we do, and have the confidence to face life's challenges with devine grace and determination.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiy-XPoWThicpM30RGF_wbw This video is going to explore the origin of the saying 8 bells and all's well. This is a relatively uncommon saying but has been featured in literature and some movies. The saying was most common during the golden age of sale and rooted in naval slang. The saying is based upon the way that timekeeping and watches were structured aboard ships. Time was kept with a roughly 30-minute long hourglass, at the end of each 30-minute interval a bell would be rung once for each elapsed interval. This would indicate to the crew how much time had elapsed in their watch. Since many civilian vessels used a 4-hour watch system, the ringing of the bell 8 times would signal that the watch was over. Documentaly showcasing the life's work of late NG user Alex Lefkowitz.

NG Lost an oldschool member with the death of Alex Lefkowitz (aka. aml51z) on June 22, 2018. He and I had a close online relationship from 2001-2005 and unfortunately grew apart since then. He had deleted his account in the early 2010s for personal reasons. I created this video as my farewell to him. The first part explores his works that were completed and published to the internet and then dives into some hard-to-find unreleased material of his that never got to see the light of day. Shakin' in Da Strip Club

i'd rather exsanguinate than put cyberen in my cunt

Working off the debt he owes to the McDonalds restaurant after leaving an unpayed bill and starting a small grease fire (see yesterday's Silly, "Splish Splash Cyberen" http://www.newgrounds.com /portal/view/482521), Cyberen accidentally falls in love all over again with the unscrupulous cartoonist known as Jhonen Vasquez, a man who has filled many of Cyberen's perverse fantasies (http://www.newgrounds.co m/portal/view/476190) and caused numerous nocturnal emissions (http://www.newgrounds.co m/portal/view/472084). It looked to be a love story for the ages. They met for the first time since their tearful parting in "Wild Wild Cyberen Pt. 2 (http://www.newgrounds.co m/portal/view/477225)"*, as Cyberen was handing over Jhonen Vasquez's order of a Big Mac sandwich, six-piece nuggets, small fries, and a medium chocolate shake. He had exact change. They spent a magical night together with a gang of young rebels, traipsing through town on a mission to correct grammatical errors in street signs and graffiti. But just when it seemed things couldn't be better, tragedy struck. Cyberen caught his beloved Jhonen making out at a party with another guy. And what's worse, he was a rival animator from a neighboring area, hailing only by his last name: Mathers. Now Cyberen must devise a vengeful plan by which he can humiliate his humiliator and win back his gay lover. This Silly satires the fast food industry as a whole, and explores it's sinister role in the battle Cyberen is currently going through - IN REAL LIFE - with obesity. Obesity is a serious problem that is affecting 26% of America, including the popular Newgrounds artist. Give Cyberen support as he packs off the pounds at his Newgrounds page (http://cyberen.newground s.com)! Cyberen is counting on you! Thank you and have a wonderful night! -Princess Laucherella *This is not entirely true, as Jhonen Vasquez shows that he still cares for Cyberen in "Cyberen: Back on Crack" (http://www.newgrounds.co m/portal/view/481589) by anonymously leaving Cyberen a nine-ton crack boulder.
