Friendship Is Magic

sorry for the radio silence this past month, life gets in the way of things, but i should start to pick up more steam now. for the past month or so I've been figuring out how to do animation that isn't Gmod. the end result of about a month of on and off work trying to figure out how to use Adobe Animate was this! I'm very aware this is probably the most janky thing I've put on this site, but all hobbies need to be learned before they are talents. this project took forever! no doubt the more knowledge I take in I will get better at my craft. leave your honest opinion about this if you can and tell me what i can improve on. thank you :)

Sir Mighty Might Shorts: What's For Lunch?

All criticism welcome, as I'm still figuring it out n wanna learn. I would say it's a tad too fast paced, and I can't really say it's all that funny but never making stuff like this I can't say it's the worst.

Got Milk?

Bit of a labour of love for this one. Months of figuring out how to make various spacey things in Blender. Worth it though I think.

Bowser's Secret

THIS MOVIE WAS CRAZY AS HECK! Uh this is my first video so lemme introduce my characters The pair of Sunglasses is Sunny, a 21 year old with autism who loves collecting vintage gaming items like figurines and posters! Odbert (or OD for short he likes using OD) is the main mascot of this account and the studio! he is optimistic but realistic and (like me) likes to animate! (he's the one with the huge hair and red shirt btw) H.E.L.P.E.R. (Helpful Emotional Lifeform Providing External Reassurance) Is Odbert's creation that turned sentient after Odbert showed him the world in a day of fun. he has sass, but has a big heart. can't forget he has tons of knowledge, so make sure to ask when you need... HELP (ba dum tsss) He's the one with the autotuned voice. ok that line was kinda corny, but still! more characters shall be introduced in the future.

The First of Gothmog's Fables featuring decent toy figure photography & amateur stopmotion

Created in 2023, this is Twisted Figure Tales' first chapter in my ongoing series of Gothmog's Fables - fan fiction that is loosely set in the LOTR world before the Hobbit. Originally published on YT before my channel was terminated in the recent purge, this first chapter features primarily Figmas and Mythic Legions figures. Rated Mature for a brief nude scale figure that appears in the opening sequence and some hobby supply and blood fx during a fight sequence.

Callie's Suprise!!

My college semester is wrapping up and I took a 3d animation class! So thought I'd share what I learned during my time in school. Honestlyyy it wasn't that big of a hurdle to jump, having so much experience with 2D stuff really helped ease me in. It was more-so adjusting to the new program that was the real challenge, navigating the interface, learning the shortcuts, figuring out how to do what I want to do, stuff like that. But when I started actually animating, it came somewhat natural, so I didn't really struggle in this class, it was fun! I got so many weird looks from my teacher when she saw my "stylized walk cycles", that was worth the price of admission alone. Even if this video was kinda eh, I hope you still had fun watching, I'm still working on bigger more traditional animations, so sorry for the wait.Till next time!

2D Animator (Me) spends 3 months learning 3D (not 2D), was it worth it? (probably)

A video showcase of a fan-made figurine I created of Rizdraws’ Carmina OC

This is a short little video I did back in the winter to showcase my fan-made clay figurine of Rizdraws’ Carmina OC. I wanted to showcase the figure in ways that I couldn’t do with photographs. The movements are a bit rough unfortunately since I don’t have one of those spinning disks to cleanly move the figure around. Regardless, I’m glad with how the overall shots look. If you want to see the rest of the video showcase, which may be a little too spicy for NG, then see part 2 on my Bluesky Account Here! Twoex: Overcoming Reality| EP 4: Untold Goodbyes

A trio of dragon siblings set out on their first training hunt.

OMG IT'S FINALLY DONE! After well over a year in the making, Talons and Flurries is finally edited and finished. It's production was exhausting, with a lot of bumps in the road, but I'm really happy with how it turned out! It definitely isn't perfect, as there are a few areas where the audio and particle effects could have been elevated, as one of my first attempts at an animated film, I feel like it gets the job done. This film takes place in the Wings of Fire universe, and features some Mudwing ocs. And yes, they are PUREBRED Mudwings. Canon be damned, I really loved the color palettes I chose, as I feel like they reflect each character's personality really well. The main protag is named Ginkgo, the mostly green Mudwing, who is eager to prove himself the strongest in his tribe with completely reckless abandon. His eldest brother Gastro is the bigwings of the group, and grows frustrated upon having to reign him in during a practice hunt. Last but not least is Arion, the youngest, and most anxious about his sibling's safety. There are at least 4 other siblings who aren't featured here, but all of them are named after snails/mollusks and have some shade of orange in them. Ginkgo meanwhile is actually an adoptive sibling, making him more adamant to prove himself. I overall enjoyed animating these guys and figuring out their anatomy. I based the main run cycle off of a lion's for reference, while for every other form of locomotion, I just winged it. I'm also happy with the vocals for all these animals, as I feel like I was able to give way more emotion to the bull specifically. Cora snaps back at Pat for bragging about who he sleeps with.

WIP. This is basically an artistic palette cleanser animation I worked on this for maybe an hour and a half today - currently figuring out how to use toon squidI like to think of this monologue as Cora snapping at Pat who often brags about who he is sleeping with. On another note I love the rasp of the og audio…I also came across “T voice” and love the buzzing. Currently playing with the idea of Cora having “T voice” or a “T voice”/Richard Horvitz adjacent voice. audio source: @/zachary.plus on TikTok

Originally was going to be just a single loop to shake off the animating rust, now it's a full video .w.)" I need to stop doing this. A part of a multi-animator project using characters from chicory: a colorful tale

This animation is made for this multi animator project (that still has parts open :b) This was a blast to do and I can't wait to make my other parts for the project! this is also my first time using rough animator, so it's fun to finally start figuring out how that program works after having bought it like three years ago! I'm going to post it with the audio too eventually, but I'll probably wait until I have all of my parts done so I can post them all together. also, fuck that deer's (blackberry, second character) weird little face. that was an absolute PAIN and just adds to his many crimes.

On Top

Gromit is about to meet his ultimate punishment yet!

This animation i've always wanted to finish for a very long time, ever since 2020 when i started it in SFM originally. The thing that was frustrating me was how the audio of the song The Electric Hellfire Club - Violence is Golden didn't pick up whilst importing it in the audio/dialog timeline. So i had to fuck around in Audacity and change the Sample Rate to a lower number so i'll play, alas it didn't. So i thought that I had no other choice but to switch to Pragma Filmmaker which was in a Alpha/Beta stage and it kept crashing, (the audio did work tho). So I thought the final option was to switch to Blender considering that it has all the correct plugins that I need and it's mostly reliable compared to other 3D software i've used. It has support for DAZ 3D, Source, everything. But Blender still needs time getting used to tho. This is my first animation in Blender as i was transitioning from SFM considering that it's obsolete by now (I've used Blender before but only for animation tests and porting my 3D models from DAZ Studio). I decided to use it after i heard about the SourceIO plugin which imports and converts Source mdl and maps in a click of a button which is very timesaving and reliable compared to transfering models using software like Crowbar back in the day. This took more time than i expected to make since I was learning some things about it as i was going along, like the blood drip and the puke chunks using the fluid plugin. The Fluid plugin really takes alot of time to bake regarding how small your shape is and how high the resolution you make it. (I've had mine at 500 which took longer but produced the best results to an extent.) The liquid effects I'm still figuring out with a combination of AI YT tutorials from years ago haha, so the fluid i generated was not up to my expectations when i was trying to frankenstein the settings but it's close.. Close but no cigar. There's always room for improvement. Hopefully my upcoming animations don't take as long as this one.
