DXD CLASH COLLAB ft T-pain

This is a story for the prompt "field" and a bit of "distance" i made in flash use arrow keys to toggle pages music link use arrow keys to toggle pages i tried to be a bit creative with it Special Thanks for im-leia for musicJamirot for this amazing oppurtunityand Newgrounds for their amazing website here is the story (for mobile users) : It was just a regular day at home, chilling, when I heard a voice from above — it was my mom. She told me that tomorrow we are going to take a trip to the fields with my grandparents. "OK," I said. Well, we'll see. Every month we travel to the fields in the countryside just to have a nice day with our grandparents. I really like the fields; it is a silent place to put your thoughts aside and maybe stretch or meditate. When I heard about this, I was excited to go, especially with my grandad. I loved staying with him; he always teaches me cool stuff. Like last year, where he taught me how to make a wooden tent and also taught me how to catch fish. Life here was simple and we were happy. That was until tomorrow, when my mom told me something really tragic. "So, we are going to the fields, but your grandad isn't joining us." "WHY?" I said. "Because… Because… your grandad got a heart attack and passed away," she said while she was sobbing. "WHAT? That can't be…" I said. "It's impossible." I couldn't go to the fields without my grandad. I felt my heart broken from the inside. Then we took the road to the fields. I felt depressed. Now, who would teach me how to make cool things and tell me old trivia? And now he's dead. What's the point of going anyway, you might ask? So, they're hosting my grandad's funeral in the fields. I needed to go; it will be the most important day of my life. That way, I can tell him my final goodbyes. The trip felt long, way too long than it should be. Every mile we crossed, I felt sadder, more depressed. As he was my only best friend in this whole universe, I never had any friends. Everyone likes bullying me for some reason. He was the only one who understood me; he was ME. So, finding out that he's dead just didn't feel right, but I had nothing to do. That's life — people live and die. That's why we need to live the best of it, spend every little second with your family, because you won't be seeing them again. The road went on and on, like it was stretching. It felt like eternity. "Honey, wake up," mom said. I thought we had arrived at the fields, but no — we just stopped at the gas station for a quick rest. I felt devastated. My family went inside to order a quick snack. I didn't have the appetite to eat anything; I just waited in the car. I really wanted to see my grandad one last time in my life. I felt like they took forever to finish ordering. I couldn't wait to go. I saw them exiting the gas station. "FINALLY!" I said. They came back with snacks. "Take some," my sister said while trying to give me a bag of chips. "No thanks," I said. I wasn't that hungry anyway. We took the road, driving our way to the fields — slowly but surely — crossing beautiful landscapes, giant farmlands, and stunning mountains. For a second, I forgot about everything. I was mesmerized by the magnificent views of the wilderness: giant trees, long stretching lakes, and fascinating wildlife. And before I knew it, we finally arrived at the fields. "Oh, here they are!" our grandma shouted while waving her hands. I saw her from far away. When we parked our car, we were greeted by our grandma, but something felt off, like a missing puzzle piece — my grandad was that missing puzzle piece. The trauma hit me again. I instantly remembered everything. I really missed him. I didn't have the chance to see him again. "SNAP OUT OF IT!" my mom said. My grandma led us to the house, where I saw a lot of familiar faces — my uncle, my aunt, and my cousin. "Wanna play something?" he said. "What the hell? Are you SERIOUS? It's a funeral! A FUCKING FUNERAL!" Everyone started staring at me. "Sorry!" I said, but he dragged me away anyway. We went outside in the beautiful sunset, playing soccer and passing the ball. "So, what are you into right now?" my cousin said. "Yeah, nothing, what about you?" I said. "The same," my cousin said. We were kinda just awkwardly passing the ball over and over again with basically no purpose. After passing the ball for about 20 minutes, my mom called me. "Get in here, son," she said. I went to her. "What's the matter, mom?" I said. "Your grandma wants to give you something." She said. I was curious. "What is it?" I said. "Follow me and you'll see." I followed my mom, then I saw my grandmother holding a big can of some sort. "What is this?" I asked. "It's your grandad's time capsule," she said. I was shocked — my grandad's time capsule, that's so COOL! I really wanted to open it. My grandma gave it to me and I started to open it in no time. I found a lot of vintage stuff, like old Star Wars action figures, his old yo-yo that looked SO OLD, old newspapers from the 1970s, and a letter? I picked up the piece of paper. It read: June 23rd, 1982 "Hi there, it's me. I am 15 years old now. I fell in love with this year. I met a lot of new friends and learned a lot of cool new stuff. When I grow up, I will become an engineer, establish a new family, and maybe even meet my grandchildren in the future." I was touched by it. I felt better with this letter. It felt like my grandad was still alive with us. This letter was the cure to my depression and my sadness. I challenged myself to also meet new friends, learn new cool stuff, establish a family, and someday meet my grandchildren in the future. But for now, I just sat down to observe the nature around me. "I wish I could meet you again." THE END

A new age is beginning, but the questions are only getting deeper. what is actually on the D2 memory core that made them hunt down pilots in the bandies? Thanks to the Dummos, we managed to save Bucket and secure a rare, intact D2 core. But things just got complicated. Who really is that mystery pilot? We all assumed she was just here to compete in the contest, but it looks like she had a completely different agenda. THE NEW AGE / DXD FINALE / DEADLINE JUNE 8th

An overview of the work I did for the Toon-2-Tune collab, featuring Ally's New Life!

This submission was done in a month for the Toons-2-Tunes collab, where the basis was to make a 8 second long animation that followed the bassline heard in this video Find the Toon-2-Tunes Collab here! This entire animation is based on a game I made, Ally's New Life, that you can play here on Newgrounds or download for Windows, the latter having an exclusive Profile feature that changes the game in minor but potentially neat ways. Check out Ally's New Life for Windows here! Now, enough self promo, here is some background on the animation lol Originally, I was gonna make it more of a stickman style as I was inspired to join through midnightsausage's previous Sketch Collabs and thought that would be easier. But that ended up being the first draft of animation to plan out what I needed, this becoming the draft for the animation instead This animation cut a lot of corners so I could get it done quickly, one thing was using the fast pace to abuse smear frames. Try pausing the animation to see how ugly they can be Ally having a satchel is not a permanent design change, at least not in the final game, and is moreso a way to have her toss items without going into a weird flesh pocket or something lol The items are also mixed up from the actual game, as throwing an actual bottle of oil into the pot might be a bad idea though you can see it in the background, so liberties were taken with the second portion of the game's item being thrown in instead The background art was originally gonna be more detailed, resembling the idea of how Marrows' room looks like in the final game, but I decided to stay loyal to the Newgrounds/It's Your Lucky Day version as it was easier to do and not get too caught up in taking forever with this animation

Blood Gauntlet Trailer (Commission)

I turned my "Starting Soon" into a video game attract screen.

When you're firing up a Twitch stream it's a good idea to give the internet 10 or even 15 minutes to send out push notifications, do API handshakes, get a little coffee at the deli down the street, and whatever else the tiny gnomes inside the tubes have to do to get everything going. I decided to flesh out that period with some animation. The original clip of riding the elevator was originally inspired by playing a lot of Metal Gear Solid. It's all Aseprite work, and consists of a couple of very slowly moving sprites above and below my little vtuber mascot moving in parallax. I could probably stand to open it back up and flesh out the city/ mirror the statue of liberty which was originally drawn from memory. Still, I think it has a charm through the flaws. Giving the Statue of Liberty a giant gun and turning it into an apparent villain was a really funny bit back when I started using it as an aesthetic, but now I feel like it's hitting hard. Still good, but different reasons. I used Aseprite, Blender, and Spritemancer to pull it together. Aseprite was the heaving bulk of the work. Organizing the animation chunks and even pulling together the final animation. Spritemancer was used to generate the smoke effects in the gunshot segment, and I fully modeled that gun before rotoscoping it in Aseprite to maintain an aesthetic. I even went to the trouble of making the barrel automatically camber up just a little bit when the slide goes back. The turnarounds and final sequence with the Statue of Liberty are using freely available 3D models that were also rendered in blender and palletized in Aseprite. I feel like I stuck close to the ethos of making something like this for a DOS game without being shackled to technical limitations that only the turbo-est of nerds would ever appreciate. The soundtrack is a modified version of the intro track to "Eye of the Commando" titled "Prelude to Freedom". It was provided directly from the musician and I'm using it with full permission. Eye of the Commando is, unrelatedly, an absolute banger of a game that you're missing out on if you haven't seen yet. https://belthesar.bandcamp.com/album/eye-of-the-commando-original-soundtrackhttps://store.steampowered.com/app/3016480/Eye_of_the_Commando/http://twitch.tv/wobblypython

Apparently this was one of those Sonic flash animations made in the 2010s.

You're watching a 2014 Sonic Flash Animation

The time has come!If I remember correctly, this is my first ever dedicated Halloween post/media 🤔.(Always wanted, never had time 😝 but this year I found some time with the final phases of Mei's Corruption being a lot of render time, I could find some mental load to affect to this) Lara Croft 3D model by Wildeer StudioSound Design and Music by Mathieu HellotLara Croft’s voice by Patapon ANYWAYLet's answer the question right away because this is also and most importantly my first official prod including AI tools 😱!(Yeah I know this is fitting with Halloween because it's a scary subject 😝) I've posted some WIPs of this project for supporters (https://subscribestar.adult/theropedude) including the first version I tested as a proof of concept and a compilation of some of the sections I didn't use in the final puzzling but that I find cool. TLDR : I love playing with this, see you next time 💚. If you have been following me long enough, you may recognize the first image of the video because it was indeed the first image of a full 3D video I crafted back in the days 😊(https://the-rope-dude.com/2024/05/19/lara-breast-tease-01/). But you may also know that I've been playing with AI tools since at least 2023 and I find this kind of tech absolutely amazing. I've tried a few things and failed a lot but now I feel like the time has come to successfully integrate some of these tools in my workflow and therefore, here is the first example that I'm confident enough to call a success 😁.Of course it's not perfect and I'm not perfectly satisfied with everything but I never am and I'm always learning + the tools apparently can't stop to get better and better every 2 months 🤩. I want to share with you how using these tools make me feel (production wise)As a 3D animator I feel like a puppeteer, precisely pulling every string of my puppet to make exactly what I want. I have a lot of detailed control but it takes a lot of time. With AI Tools I feel more like an art or movie director, trying to guide actors in the direction I want and iterating with several takes until I have the "good one".Both have their pros and cons (Mostly control and speed of prod imo) so I'm looking for ways to have the best of each world 😁.Also for example a specific camera movement is a lot easier to do in 3D but animating 6 hands groping and playing realistically with boobies and flesh is a nightmare 😝.(And to quote Kurzgesagt : I want to use AI like the align tool in Adobe Illustrator.)How was it made exactly?Of course this is overly simplified but I may explain more in depth if some people are interested but to summarize the process :- Make an image in Blender.- (Optional) Generate a 3/8 sec video with Wan2.2 (I2V) and take the last image of the video.- Make an image in Blender or Edit the previous one with Qwen/Photoshop/Blender(Control-Nets).- Generate a 3/8 sec video with Wan2.2 (FLF2V with the last frame you just edited)- Repeat- Puzzle everything in DaVinci Resolve to make it as seamless as possible.- Upscale/Upframe with Wan2.2/DaVinci Resolve- Edit/Mask/FX/patchwork in Blender/DaVinci Resolve to improve/refine/hide/modify the things hard to manage otherwise. On that matter I want to give a big thanks and shout-out to IchibanFutsuJin (https://civitai.com/user/IchibanFutsuJin/posts) we share a lot of helpful technical knowledge with each other and he does some of the most creative and amazing uses of these tools I've seen so far 😍. Definitely go check his work! In any case I hope you appreciated this little comeback of Lara Croft and I wish you a great Halloween ^^! Take care 😊💚

The series finale to the Sonic Sprite series, Chaos War.

Been a very long time. Newgrounds isn't something I keep up with, but for completeness sake I figured I'd upload the finale here as well. The series finale to my long running Sonic Flash animation is finally finished. What's next for me, who knows. Maybe I'll still do animation from time to time. But, after doing this for 15 years I think it's time for a break. For anyone who cares about this humble little series, thanks for your viewership and sticking around this long. For others whose sprite animation isn't their thing, thanks for stopping by anyway. Credits for characters would fill way too much of this space! Giantess Growth 4

Pawns and Pieces is a claymation project I began working on in 2022. I came up with the premise for the film shortly after completing Clash of the Clay back in 2020, initially titled "Clash of the Clay 2". After making A Grand Day for Fishing in 2021, this project became my centre focus of that year, through to 2022. As I developed the idea, it became more complex than the Clash of the Clay sequel I had planned. The film was to follow a chess game, the queens of either side playing to impress a mysterious creature that lives inside one of the vases of the table (the lizard-like green thing sitting in the brass goblet), with the gormless pawns and pieces going along with it, the greatest threat to the game and the entertainment of the green thing being the friendship of the White and Red Kings. The game I chose to base my story on was Game 15 of Spassky vs Fischer 1972 - the reason for this being that in order for the third act to work, I needed a game that ended on a draw with all of the kings and queens in tact. You can view the game here and compare the movements to that in the film: https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1044730 What you see here is the second act of the film, mostly animated and partially storyboarded. The first and third act were never animated, but the former was fully storyboarded. The reason I began with the second act first is because (on paper) it moved at a nice slow pace, which would allow me to ease myself into the more complex parts of the film. It was also the seemingly shortest of the three! Production was halted to work on my final University project; The Curse of Dracular. I had planned to continue working on it afterwards, but it became evident that the idea I had developed was far too large for me to complete on my own - the second act of the film coming to around ten minutes, which was only partially animated and the rest left to an animatic. In the middle of 2023, the company that produces the plasticine I use (Newclay), also announced their closure, and I’d still need tons of the stuff to complete my film (still have a bulk load knocking about somewhere, though). This spanner in the works allowed me to take a step back, evaluate the uphill battle this project was going to be, and accept that I would not be able to complete it. So for now, it is shelved. Initially I was very sad about this as I felt I had come up with some great scenes and gags that would never be brought to life, along with many sketchbooks filled with concept art and storyboards. However, I now appreciate this little venture as a great learning curve; sculpting and animating more detailed characters, prop-making and animating walk cycles. I’m sure elements of this film will also be reused in future projects. Perhaps down the line I might even reboot it with a team of people to refine it and finally get it completed! Getting this thing posted is long, LONG overdue, but getting it out there is a weight off my shoulders. I hope you enjoy! Additional music provided by Musopen.

It's a "Use it or lose it" kind of situation. I completely forgot. But I learned a long time ago, to be honest. Working with Mike on Numberlore helped me grow as an artist, because as soon as I had a task for something that I didn't understand how to do it, I would make it known, and Mike stepped up and taught me how to do it, and I'm really grateful to not only have him as a working partner once again, but as a friend. It cannot be understated how hard that guy works on his stuff. You can see how shots compare here vs. final, and that difference is made by Mike's polish. Dude is super talented, and he made sure this thing was done correctly. With that, a little bit of the learning curve as the ambition and scope of the series just keeps rapidly expanding to the point that he would even ask me to help work on this, is a testament to how this thing is building up momentum that's really evident. And I hope the fans can understand why that added some months between 2 and 3's release date. Mike Salcedo, Connor Murphy and I shared office space together at Explosm Studios, working on Cyanide & Happiness and everything else they'd throw our way for years. I thoroughly enjoyed doing frame-by-frame cool lookin' stuff like fire and lightning. Which was unfortunate, because I was on the payroll as a pre-production animatic guy. But even in the animatics, there'd be a shot with smoke or an explosion or something, and I'd go off-the-rails and hyperfixate with my ADHD brain and animate a sequence in two's and four's "IT SHOULD LOOK KINDA LIKE THIS" and practically animate an anime-tier, sakuga sequence, in a show with golf-ball head, marshmallow bodied stick figures. Sometimes that'd make it to final, and other times it didn't at all (opting instead to take a more cost-effective route, which yeah I get it). But Mike recognized that potential immediately, and invited me to work on stuff he was controlling. This whole year, 2023, has been about scraping the rust off. With Numberlore 3, I feel legitimized as a professional animator. We are so back! Time to get to work! And I can't wait to show you guys what else I got cooked up! Please consider following me here if you have an NG account. Dieatwork Toons: Which Hill is Which?

This is the animatic that I made for Purgatony's Intro Sequence!

Way back in 2017 I was getting to work on Purgatony for Explosm. An ambitious project helmed by Joel Watson, Rob, Dave, and Kris as they expanded Non-Cyanide & Happiness projects to other platforms outside of YouTube. You can watch the first episode here! On YouTube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocBEaoW5okc From what I remember, they were in talks with streaming platforms abroad- one that was called Blackpill (who has since gone under), and while we handled the pre-production of the show, the production of the animation was going to be done out-of-house. If I recall, by a very fast French studio. The directors, Joel (who plays the voice of Tony Pergatelli) Rob, Dave, and Kris, had a script for each episode, but would record it all at once in the same room to flesh out an improvisational atmosphere. Speed was the name of the game as we ripped through episodes, because as Joel and team were negotiating the terms of the show with Blackpill, they umm'd and ahh'd and dragged their feet signing off on a bottom-line, while the stated deadline for the project never moved. So after a lot of weeks (maybe even months) were eaten up in emails and calls and meetings, by the time we had a greenlight, the animatic team barely had any time to get these episodes assembled. There was a lot of copy-paste, a lot of rush work, and I definitely struggled, but learned through the process. I dreaded the show while I was working on it, including slogging through a couple of episodes that I just did not think were funny at all as I was right up on it- but I underestimated it. It turned out better than I thought- jokes were landing, crowd seemed pleased. Some meta-information on this animatic, when I initially assembled it (before we had a theme-song) The opening shot launched with Dimmu Borgir's "Progenies", but as the elevator door opened to our first glimpse at the miserable Tony Pergatelli, it launched into a piano instrumental of Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now". It operated with that for temp until they got their final theme song, which went through numerous iterations and adjustments. Rough versions early on sounded more rock and rhasp, then came more pianowork, and the final iteration had the very Queen-like guitar solos interspersed, cleaned up, and iconic. I loved getting to see the show's identity take form before my eyes. That was the most unforgettable process of working on this show, is witnessing the transformation. And here's a private shitpost from the animatic team of Tony Quinn.
