Flipnote Studio: A Girl's Day at the Beach [Loop]

I've been working on this work like three weeks and just realized TODAY is Low Poly Day! So I GOTTA upload it today, right? Azumi has had enough, and enlists the help of a friend._____________ *Note* This animation does have music in it, but the license seems to be fine to use it in media? On YouTube if you upload it, they ContentID it but allow use without restriction, so as far as I can tell the track is in the clear. Song is "Enough" by Sleep Theory

Cats of Tottenham a web series about burn out, capitalism and feminism

Cats of Tottenham is a lo-fi web series by Ellie Bradford and Will Stuart. It follows four women—Susan, Emily, Karen, and Jane—who all live in a tiny house share in Tottenham (North London, UK). However, they’ve been turned into gross cats by a scammer online. Their mission? TO CHANGE THE WORLD by fighting evil, etc.—billionaires!HOWEVER, they realise they need money to pay rent and buy food, so all their time gets eaten up working at the Asda supermarket on Tottenham High Rd! ABOUT THIS EPISODE:The Cats are plotting to change the world but tensions start to rise between Emily and Jane when a new CEO (and resident baddie), Zee, arrives at Asda and introduces a fleet of AI robots to “make their jobs easier.” Or are they actually here to wipe out humans and cats, leaving everyone jobless and broke?!Emily just wants to focus on scraping together enough rent for their houseshare in Tottenham, while Jane is determined to investigate the robots and uncover Zee’s real intentions. Meanwhile, Susan keeps writing her blog-slash-website and proudly shows it to Karen’s fish, Ikea who, naturally, loves it.As for Karen? She’s stuck in the middle as usual, being the tiny legend she is more worried about her fish than the mission. But can The Cats hold it all together? Please leave a comment! We will be going through the comments and replying to them on another YouTube video! So please leave a comment and lemme know what you think of the show! A little about the show: Cats of Tottenham is an artwork disguised as a sitcom. It follows four women who are scammed online by a man who offers them a strange spell: the chance to become a man, an animal, or a baby. They choose to become grotesque, unconvincing cats chaotic and a little tragic. Their choice is partly absurd, partly a way of “reversing evolution” to replace men with a new species. Each cat embodies a different aspect of myself: power-hungry, hopeless, impulsive, or quietly depressed. Like any sitcom, nothing really changes. The project began when I was burnt out, broke, and living in a damp Tottenham flat, working a minimum-wage care job after being diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I needed an escape, so I built one using whatever was available: broken dolls, chewing-gum prosthetics, makeshift sets, and the cheapest gear I could afford. The result was deliberately chaotic feminist but messy, emotional, loud, and illogical.

an isometric scene of a retro futuristic frutiger aero solar punk device

I recommend watching on fullscreen and with headphones 大家好！Hola! This is a hydroform node, made for terraforming extraterrestrial planets, a planet is bombarded with ice and water meteors to then get heated up and form clouds, a hydroform node takes the formed clouds and converts them into liquid water while distilling and purifying it from other vaporized chemicals mixed in the air, then the prepared water gets pumped out to different places of the planet. The fish is a bioindicator organism, if the fish survives the water is biologically safe, colonists use these as environmental diagnostics. for the overall design I got inspired by Frutiger aero aesthetics, and solar punk concepts for the conceptualization. I thought the result is something you would find in terraria, so i composed the soundtrack a bit like terraria's making it a pixel art Frutiger aero-solar punk mix style. I wanted to get a liminal feeling, or nostalgic feeling, I'm not sure how i got it but i did, to get it i deliberately let some elements of the composition feel off or odd, as in liminal spaces, something that has to do with the lightning, the only thing that casts shadows on this scene are the suctioned clouds and they only cast shadows within themselves, the rest is composition, for example the shadow casted by the device is actually a transparent cube, the shadows casted on the grass by the unimplied clouds are shaders, nothing casts shadows because almost every object's material has emission turned on The process i like using blender for creating 2d like stuff, playing with shaders and programming animations with geometry nodes, so a rough quick sketch took me a few hours and i got this: Then i started conceptualizing and using my references. at first i wanted to make it look as an infinite water body rendered within the boundaries of a cube but it looked as normal water but i ignored that. i used geometry nodes and the shader editor for the water, noise texture for the displacement (using geonodes) and i animated a voronoid texture for the water texturing, The caustics are a voronoid texture on a plane, also seen over the fish. animating the text was easy, i wanted it to look like a converged human language from the future, i used a font called stray (i think this font is from that game also called stray, never played it). I animated it arranging different texts and glitched versions in a 2d image, then animated the texture coordinates of the plane what will have the text.the pipes are transporting water, thats all, it may look weird but it is just moving water. i used geometry nodes for that animation specifically using a waves texture for scaling the pipe across a spline curve.the grass is just 4d noise texture setting the position of each vertex overtime.i didnt know how to make it loop perfectly so i leaved it as so. made only with blender (except the text texture, it was made using Photopea)As for the music, i wanted it to sound nostalgic and chill, i tried to get as close as the visual feeling i had at that time making the scene, So i chose the Mixolydian scale becase of the bVII, and 9th chords, a slow pace rhythm and sounds akin to the style (lofi old school frutiger, chiptune) i produced it with FL studio The sound effects are some folley, others are sounds i found in the internet and some i did with synthesizers The blend file is all yours to explore! Some other arts i've done (mostly with blender) 3D geometry dash sphere spider animated by bboybeat on Newgrounds I also make music; some of these are like the one of this animation! bboybeat's Audio. I have a Fiverr gig for music composition, no orders yet, but it exists Compose unique and immersive video game music by Just_cristopher | Fiverr. Something a bit different, a few angles of a walk cycle from an upcoming animation with Raven Team Leader. I was mid-animation when I realized I've never actually made a proper walk cycle before. I made this little 2D animation project to test my skills. Animation is not my speciality, but I want to learn and improve. Since the last animation I did, I made more sequences and more actions.I tried to be as professionnal as possible, with the disclamer warning and the credits, and I like the results.
